If you want a great salad or a fantastic sandwich, this is definitely the place to go. Everything is fresh and made to order. Yes, it’s a small whole in the wall place, but you walk out so satisfied. The staff is awesome and very welcoming! Way to go guys!

You could live on Paul’s deli meatball sub for the rest of your life and die mad that you can’t get another one when your dead.

I don’t think I’ve ever posted on Unilocal before so this really means something to me. Ooooohhhhhhh MMmmmmmmm Grrrreeat!.. So tonight was one of those nights where the wife and I had to work late and no time or energy to cook dinner. Tired of the gross fast food options I was in the mood for something more satisfying but not a generic restaurant chain with people who don’t have talent, just trained by the book. We have previously been to Paul’s to have them make a lot of sandwich’s for our Son’s 1st Bday and I remember they were amazing! Wife drove by on the way home and called me and told me they had pastas too. So I thought Ok, ½ a sandwich(Paul’s special) and a sausage/meatball spaghetti(comes with salad and garlic bread) and she got the Roast Beef w/Aju. My first bite of the spaghetti brought happy thoughts to my mouth and tummy! It was so great. The meatballs were seasoned just right, the sauce was seasoned perfectly. Zesti with flavor and not bland like so many other places. Then I took a bite of the large sausage, OMG that was sooo good too. There was some melted parm cheese on the dish fand it was just all food heaven. Even the garlic bread was excellent and cooked perfect. The Paul’s special sandwich was amazing too, perfectly soft bread, fresh meats. They are Deli so I would expect no less. The whole time I’m eating I’m telling the wife how surprisingly great the Italian food was and couldn’t get over it(esp for the price). When she took her first bite into the roast beef she let out a pleasing«yuuuuuum». She usually gets roast beef as her go-to sandwich from other places and I don’t think I’ve ever heard her complement on her first bite. I know this all sounds cornball and you’d think I’m just overly excited. But no. I just had a great meal and my Wife told me how nice they were to her at the restaurant. Even the guest joked around with the staff gesturing«hey you got a customer!» to the workers when she walked in. Obviously regulars who enjoy the food and appreciate the friendly staff. I would rather go here then Olive Garden or Buca’s any day! I haven’t had all of their menu items but so far it’s off to a great start :) Thank you Paul’s place! I hope this gets you lots of lucky customers who get to enjoy your food.

This little deli is a hidden gem. My friend introduced us to this place and have been here several times never to be disappointed. Staff is friendly and the sandies are great! Also try the antipasto and the lasagna if you see it on special. Don’t forget to get some cannolis for desert.

This place was a little quirky. First off they were busy, the couple before me ordered about 4 or 5 sandwiches to go and there were people coming in and out. This was on a Sunday afternoon. I ordered a French dip with a side of potato salad. I waited at least 15 minutes for my food, which is fine. As I said, they were busy. French Dip — nothing extravagant, decent quality and portion of meat. Lots of cheese. The roll they served it on was very light and airy no substance to it, which is a good sign of lower quality bread. Me, I don’t really care so much. I’m not a big bread person. I did notice it, but it’s not something big enough to take a star or a half a star off for. Potato salad was very average like the kind you buy prepackaged at the grocery store, a little too sweet for my taste. Prices were very reasonable. Customer service was excellent. Overall, I would say that the food wasn’t horrible, but not great. It was somewhere in the middle. Not good enough to bring me back though.

Oh my! I went to this place for the first time today and I am very pleased:) First off, their customer service is great! It was one guy and a gal handling the operations. Both very friendly and personable. I ordered my sandwich ahead so I could just drop in, and go. I got a half hero cold sub, which was delightful! It is a bit pricey, but the ingredients are delish and fresh, so I didn’t mind at all! I got chips, the half Sammy and a drink for $ 10– Oh and if you get a half samich, they are what I would consider a whole. Very good portion. I will defiantly be going back to try their other yummy looking grubbage.

I can say I did try the food but it wasn’t my taste for sandwiches but their customer service is what I’m writing about. They took the time to explain what kind of food they offer and what I could try. I really loved that they took care of their customers and made sure I wanted the food a certain way. It’s not my taste but for others maybe they might like it. Don’t get me wrong it’s great sandwiches just not my taste and that happens sometimes. I would come back to try something new in the future and it’s a great deal for the prices that they offer here at this location competing with the sandwich place next door but they do great for themselves.

Chicken parm sandwich. –nuff said Order it and leave happy. Haven’t even made it to anything else so can’t vouch there. 5x and 5x parm sandwiches. Maybe next time something new. Expect a wait and limited seating during lunch hours. Side salads are great. Deco is amazing especially if you are a boxing fan.

Paul’s Deli is definitely one of those joints where they make you feel at home whether you have been going there for years or just popped in for your first visit. I had a business lunch here and tried their Paul’s sandwich — it was a pretty darn good sandwich – in retrospect, I couldn’t discern what was in this(you can check out my photo) but rest assured it was packed with flavor. You can also add a side of mac salad or potato salad but I went for something out of the ordinary and got their marinara rigatoni– ate that all up. These sandwiches are not for dainty appetites– I finished half of mine and had to wrap the other to-go. Great customer service– the guy taking our order was entertaining. When I stood around, another person asked if he could wrap my sandwich and also asked if I wanted a refill on my soda. Service with a smile here.

Delicious sandwiches for a good price? Yes please… I was getting new tires for one of my cars nearby and walked on over to order for me and two other people. When I arrived on a Friday around 4ish there were many groups of people inside eating or waiting for their food. When it was my time, the friendly guy at the counter asked me if it was my first time here. I said yes and he told me I would not be disappointed. I ended up getting one 16 inch and one 8 inch both of the Paul’s Sandwich. The Paul basically came with everything: lettuce tomatoes, pickle, mayo, dressing and provolone and all types of meat. All the ingredients were fresh and everything was delicious. I also liked that I didn’t even have to ask for them to cut the sandwich up. The 8 inch was cut in two and the 16 inch was cut in fourths. Perfection. For a 16 inch and 8 inch, my total was only $ 10. WTF seriously?! So cheap. I’m glad I found this little gem sandwich shop. I’ll be back to mess with their other items on the menu.

Nice mom & pop deli shop in Westminister on the corner of Goldenwest & Westminister… I had the pleasure of trying their Ruben on Rye(extra Swiss and added tomato). It came with sauerkraut, thousand island, Swiss. And best of all. Yummy, flavorful thin slices of corned beef piled high on the sandwich. I don’t come across corned beef like that often. So definitely worth pointing out :) My bf had the Italian which he finished. So I guess he liked it. Lol. Ample parking in this plaza and they weren’t too busy on a Sun afternoon. Another perk to ordering fm here is their online system. Makes pick-up a breeze. Next time, I’ll probably try their French dip, lobster ravioli, or cannelloni. Who knows?!

Let me take a moment to praise these employees on their amazing customer service! I would like to personally thank you Jose and Rafael for taking care of me and really building the rapport while I wait for my chicken parmesan hot sandwich to be made. I was the only one in the restaurant at around 4:30 pm and they were really helpful as to recommending me on what was their most popular sandwich that people seem to love and were just simply friendly and funny. They really make you feel so welcoming into the restaurant and that’s how it should be everywhere! I had a long day and their attitude really made my day a lot better– so thank you! I got the chicken parmesan 8″ hot sandwich and it was a wonderful recommendation! They definitely don’t skimp you on the chicken and the sandwich a good size with more than enough for a meal. I also tried the red wine pasta, which I really loved! You can taste a hint of the red wine, mixed very well in the pasta. I’m really glad I came across this family-owned restaurant on the corner of Goldenwest and Westminster, behind the Popeyes. Check it out– definitely worth your lunch break.

I’ve been meaning to stop by for awhile because of all the great reviews. Workers were super friendly. Located behind the Pizza Hut and next to Tan Hoang Huong. Had the chicken Parmesan and small drink for $ 8. Came with a small potatoes salad that had a good bite to it. The sandwich was good but not as hot as I would’ve liked it. The chicken was just warm but the bun and cheese were super melty all around it. Overall, good sandwich and good amount of it. Before I left, a worker came up to me and offered a cannoli. It was the best cannoli I’ve ever had. I would give this place 5 stars just for that! I’ll be coming back.

I met a couple friends here before a movie across the street. I decided on Monday’s Ravioli Special. It came with beef ravioli covered in marinara sauce and cheese, a side salad, garlic bread, and a small drink for $ 6.99. It’s a good amount of food for the price. Everything was okay, nothing special though. I tried some of my friend’s pastrami sandwich that came in a French baguette. It was also alright, but a bit too much bread. Lastly, we shared an order of cannoli. They were kind of small, but not bad. Paul’s Deli isn’t much for service. You just order and pick up your food at the counter. The gentleman taking our orders wasn’t overly friendly, nor was he rude. We just placed our orders and he was pretty much done with us. The place is kitschy with boxing memorabilia on the walls. It’s pretty small with only about five tables to eat at. There is plenty of parking in the strip mall lot.

I got a message from fellow Unilocaler Laina A to meet up here for dinner before the CMYE movie night. Sounded like a plan to me, so I headed over to Paul’s. I had no idea this was a favorite Unilocalers spot for grub before the movie nights! LOCATION&PARKING: In a small strip mall with a handful of other shops, a block away and across from the Regency Theaters. There’s a decent size parking lot so parking wasn’t a problem. SERVICE: Order & pay, as well as pick up at the counter when it’s ready. Otherwise the guy behind the counter was very friendly and had a great personality, which of course made the experience more enjoyable. FOOD: I arrive before everyone else and start looking over the menu. I wasn’t super hungry, but decided to order a half hot Pastrami sandwich(mustard, tomato, pickle, provolone — $ 6.50). I think it took 10 minutes or more before my order was ready. Just before they called my name, they asked whether I wanted pasta or salad. In this case the salad was pasta too, pretty garlicky(OK) and surprisingly a bit spicy(not OK). Wasn’t a fan. My sandwich was pretty tasty, but in my humble opinion, it was on the wrong type of bread. It was an extremely crusty /crunchy French bread. Yes the center was soft, but the crust was SO crunchy, it detracted from the filling inside. Later I was surprised when the guy behind the counter called me over and gave me a plate with 4 cannoli’s on it to share with the table! A nice treat, thank you so much! OVERALL: A pretty small place with very good foot at very reasonable prices!

Located in a tiny strip mall off Westminster and Goldenwest, behind a Popeyes is Paul’s deli. The inside is filled with boxing and football memorabilia. many which were autographed. The place is small, holds about 5 tables of 4, and the menu is simple: — Hot sandwiches — Cold sandwiches — a few pasta dishes — and salads I came here on a Monday night, before the Unilocal CMYE movie event: Furious 7. I’ve seen Unilocalers check in here before other movie nights, and decided to have one of their«Monday night specials» beforehand. The Monday special is beef or cheese ravioli, salad, bread and a small soda for $ 6.99. They also have chicken parmesan on the Monday special menu. The meal took about 15 minutes to cook, and it came out piping hot, served on a ceramic dish. It wasn’t a huge portion but adequate, and the garlic bread and salad provided a nice balance to the meal. Jose came from behind the counter to chat with the customers. He offered refills and asked if we enjoyed our meal. We chatted about Unilocal, and the movie we were about to see. Overall a good experience. Jose said they have daily specials, and, you can order online to have your food waiting. On weekends it gets crowded, but most people take their food to go. If you’re in a hurry, cold sandwiches are the fastest item, taking about 5 minutes to make. Plenty of free parking.

Paul’s Deli has become the official meeting place for Unilocalers watching a movie at the Regency Theater across the street. Such was the case when Laina invited a bunch of us to grab a quick bite before the recent CMYE movie event. Pay as you order at the counter is the deal here. I would assume the big guy taking the orders is Paul. I got a good kick out of his sense of humor and was rather pleased when he treated our group to cannolis on the house. What a delight! Thank you! The $ 6.99 Monday Special was popular at our table. Beef or cheese ravioli from the hot entrée and 8″ chicken salad or chicken parmesan from the sandwiches were the options. This includes a side salad and small drink of your choice. Sweet deal, ya? Two of us shared the 8″ CHICKENPARM meal and a plate of CHICKENALFREDOPASTA($ 8+), which also came with a salad, plus crunchilicious garlic bread. This was a feast that neither of us could devour entirely so leftovers were to be had. I thought the pasta was delicious with the right amount of garlic however, the noodles was a tad overcooked IMO. I’m not a sandwich aficionado but the chicken parmesan was something I enjoyed. A little crunch on the breading of the chicken would make this perfection. Surprisingly, even the side of pasta salad was very tasty. Having just an hour in our hands, we had more than enough time to eat at a comfortable pace while enjoying the company. This would definitely be a good choice for those with time constraints and if in the area. Plastic is accepted except for AMEX.

This is my to go place whenever there’s a Unilocal movie night in the area. The first time I came here, I was already sold by the service. The MAN(Jr is the name) behind the counter knows everything about his food and he’s able to make excellent suggestions for you if you are lost with the big menu behind the counter. For this visit, Gf got parmesan meatball spaghetti with side salad and garlic bread. I got a whole corned beef hot sub with a side. Jr kept asking if I was sure about ordering a large because it’s… quiet big. I told him to bring it on since I was hungry. Well, sure enough, half of the order going to lunch tomorrow. The sub included mustard and pickles with corned beef covered with mozzarella(I think). It’s so simple but yet so delicious. I am pretty sure any Italian sub shop would be destroyed if they are next to Paul’s. On the side dish, potato salad, macaroni salad, and pasta salad were offered. I paused for a moment because nothing sounded too good to me at the time, Jr noticed my pause and asked me, «do you like garlic?» «Yes I do.» «ok, I got something for you.» Just like that, my side dish was a very garlicky pasta, not the salad, a real warm pasta and it was soooo good. Gf’s dish came with plenty of meatballs and her side green salad was fresh and crispy. The garlic bread was on the spot light as the pasta. I like hers but I love mine. They do have a restroom for customers but you will have to go under the counter, walk next to their kitchen, say hi to the lady that’s in the kitchen(I am guessing that’s the mom), and here you go, the bathroom on your left side. I wish Paul’s is closer to where I live. Don’t get me wrong, I already have Claro’s in my area but I like to support mom n pop shop any day especially when the food is homey and delicious. Ditch the popcorn, sneak in a sub. There, I said it.
