Ahhmazing! First time eating at the Lazy Dog and we felt like family. The food was delicious, especially the Butter Cake! Our server Jodie went above and beyond. We can’t wait to go back.

I’ve always came here with my dog during the day and the food was great but it didn’t make me feel the need to write a review. However I came in with my family a party of 9 for a late Father’s Day dinner on a Sunday night and our server Katherine was just so amazing I had to write a review. I’m pretty sure she said Katherine if not then I hope the manager looks at the schedule for who worked the closing shift for June 26 She really gave this review a 5 stars even tho my carbonara came out super salty (I had this before and it was not this salty) however with her service it did not bother me. She was very funny and sweet and attentive. my family and I had fun and enjoyed our dinner

We went here for Father’s days. Got a free pint, amazing service from our server named Hipo. Ordered the wok fried calamari, ceveche, sweet potato tater tots, street corn, the BBQ bacon burger, the inside out quesedilla, the kids pizza with watermelon, which not only tasted great, but Hipo made the day by going above and beyond what was expected of him as a server. Overall, I was a great experience and I would definitely come back.

This Lazy Dog came to our rescue last Saturday afternoon as we tried to have a high school reunion luncheon with about 25 Class of ’73 Santa Fe High School Ladies. We had reservations at another establishment which after a half hour of excuses & apologies we sought another location for our hungry n thirsty group. I contacted the Lazy Dog, spoke to Dillion and our reunion was saved. The drinks were great, food delicious and Denise, our waitress, provided quick & excellent service. To top it off we were allowed to have individual checks. I can not Thank the Lazy Dog enough. I stress to all, you won’t be disappointed in trying the Lazy Dog, we sure weren’t. I will definitely patronize Lazy Dog again!

There’s a few dishes that I love at lazy dog. I do feel like they’re a bit over priced though!
They seem to be always updating the menu, which is a plus!
Service is always great too.

Had the Mahi Mahi Tacos. They were excellent. My fiancé had Sundried Tomatoe Pesto. Excellent! Went on a Saturday night. They were very busy but service was Great.
We will coming back for sure!

Everything went almost perfect. We got seated immediately, even though they were really busy. We must have just gotten lucky, it was just my wife and I. Then as son as we’re seat our waitress, Katherine, was on it. She definitely knows how to make you feel comfortable and like you’re amongst friends for the duration of the visit.
I ordered a water, and wife orders a rum with a rum float on top, and it was so good I drank all of hers so we had to get a 2^nd stat. Then they had a special tonight, bison meatloaf wrapped in bacon. Omg… it was good.
My wife got a sun dried tomatoe and pesto pasta that was great. She asked for no mushrooms, but the cooks accidentally put them in there anyway. We didn’t complain, but Katherine noticed it, and within 60 seconds the manager comes over, apologizes, comps her meal, and asks if her can get her anything else. As a business owner, I know mistakes happen everyday, but it’s how you handle that makes the difference. We’re totally going back!!!
Oh, and the ceaser salad was really good also.

I checked on Unilocal,and not many people write reviews about their canine friends. I called in 20 minutes before I drove in, just to make sure that they are still a dog friendly restaurant. My friend and I were at the dog park, and that’s how we decided we wanted to eat here.
First off, they have a dog friendly menu! All three meals for pets are about $ 5 with brown rice and such. Very cute. Complimentary water included.
My friend and I decided to order the pizza for ourselves (pizza had chicken, blue cheese, bacon, tomatos, etc) and for checking in on Unilocal,we received a whole basket worth of Cajun fries! It was A LOT. We ended our meal with the amazing white chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream. The server was sweet, friendly, and she kept checking up on us, too.
Just an fyi, the patio for dog loving people is very small. My dog became overly excited and started whining because she wanted to make friends with everyone. She’s not a mean dog, but it did make the other owners unhappy. Just be careful with distance.

I’ve come here lots of times now and have enjoyed the food and the wine and the service each time. I have been to multiple locations and they have yet failed me; it’s a great place to come for some feel good food and to sit and chat and be comfortable.

Good service and a good variety of foods you can order. Sticky ribs and the tomato pesto pasta are a must. The roasted Brussels sprouts were a little too salty for my taste buds. The sweet potato tots were pretty good as well. Overall, this place is a good place to go to when you have a group of people who can’t decide on where or what to eat!
Also, pets are allowed at the outside dining patio. That’s a bonus!

I came back in today with my Mom and used a few gift cards (again, thanks Chris).
The Good:
The calamari (wok style) was exceptionally good. Very crispy and brown rice was a nice compliment.
The Beef Dip — my Mom had this and said she enjoyed it.
The Chix Tortilla Soup — Hot, lots of chicken and cheese, and nice spice.
The Average:
The House Club (new item on the menu) was average for me. When I think of club I think of a sandwich that is cut into 4s. Not a big deal but visually it makes the plate more appealing IMO. The bread. I think it was lightly toasted white bread. This one’s on me as I should have asked for wheat. All in all, I thought the sandwich was average at best.
The Below Average:
The fries that came with my sandwich. Undercooked and on the warmish-​coldish side.
The service — (we sat in bar area on high top) — the guy working behind the bar was great. Very attentive. Unfortunately he was not our server. Our server wasn’t bad… but had he paid a little attention he would have noticed:
1. My Mom did not have a menu… had to wave him down for that. and he took his time getting it to us
2. Not a huge deal. but my iced T did not get refilled until I was done with my meal
3. Kind of took a little while for the guy to get back over and take our lunch order… I had to wave him down for that as well.
Again, I really appreciate Chris trying to make our last experience right… and for the most part our lunch experience was much better (in spite of my revue)
I have been coming to Lazy Dog since first opened and I just feel the quality is not what it used to be…

I love that the Lazy Dog restaurant chain exists — a designated place dog-​owners can take their beloved pups!
I’ve never been a fan of their food, but it’s consistently average. The service is always good and super friendly. I think it’s either a requirement that you like dogs to work here or the staff is really good at acting! They bring out a fresh water bowl every time for your canine companion and offer a simple menu that consists of chicken, beef and rice.
Their human food menu has decent prices and they offer a delicious sangria taster flight! The peach was notably delicious. They even have house beers and other crafts on tap, which is always a plus in my book.
One dish my sister never fails to get for appetizers: the hush puppies. Crispy crunch potato balls with bacon, and creamy sauce on the side. It’s a crowd-​pleaser, and rightfully so. I had their hatch chiles mac n’ cheese and I gotta say… not bad. It comes in a cast-​iron dish, with plenty of breadcrumbs, chiles and cheese on top. It is a «side dish» but I ate it as my main meal. Carbs and cheese forever.
Note: Check in for that free flatbread appetizer! Cheesy and simple flatbread with marinara.

What a pleasant surprise! I had heard from numerous people about this place, and honestly what brought me in was the dog friendly atmosphere on the patio. And boy oh boy was this such a fun experience! Everyone had their little and big fur babies on the patio. My fur baby was sniffing everyone else’s doggies and they were all checking each other out. It was like a doggy meet and greet! And don’t get me started on the dog friendly menu. Say what?! Food for the dogs? Yes you can order little entrees for your pets to eat on the ground off of a dog friendly plate. Loved this! So much fun hanging out on the patio with all the dogs and getting to know each of their personalities. My dog had tons of fun! Now if all this excitement wasn’t enough… The food was GREAT. I hadn’t expected it be that good. I thought this place is amazing to hang out and the food will most likely be mediocre at best. But I was wrong! Surprised again! Everything was good. My favorite was the white pizza, I added Alfredo sauce instead of marinara sauce and it was amazing!!! So good. Even reheated it was fantastic. The wok calamari had a different taste– good but not your average fried calamari taste, more sweet and tangy. The flatbread was good– I would suggest asking for ranch to dip the bread in instead of the marinara sauce. That might be the ticket!

After a dental appointment Diane and I hopped over here for lunch. And I had my best ever sweet chicken salad composed of chopped chicken breast, dried cranberries, chopped nuts, red onion, lettuce, tomato, celery and light Curry Mayo spread between hefty slices of Multigrain Whole Wheat Bread. This concoction was called a Walnut Chicken Salad Sandwich, and it was served with a refreshingly cool Japanese Cucumber Salad.
A good prelude was a cup of Chicken Tortilla Soup filled with chicken, Cheddar Cheese, avocado, and hand-​cut Tortilla Strips. Meanwhile Diane enjoyed a Grilled Cheese Sandwich that combined Gouda, melted Cheddar, and Jack Cheese, presented with tasty French Fries. Service was fine but the filled dining room was a bit loud.
4−½ stars overall this time around!

Gen was too crazy and we ended up here. Definitely not disappointing because service was top notch and food was massive!
We got seated right away and our waiter was very attentive. I forgot his name but he was fantastic!
Opted for the chicken breast and havarti sandwhich. It was thinly slicked chicken breast that was piled high with tomatoes, mixed greens, red onions and mayo. Got my fries extra crispy and was not disappointed. I kept munching on them even though I was on the verge of a serious food coma.
My family was happy with their order too. The kiddies got the kids burgers and of course couldn’t finish it because it was so gigantic! My uncle loved his mahi-​mahi tacos but said he was completely stuffed. My aunt loved her chicken pasta (don’t remember which one she got specifically) but ate most of it so that’s always a good sign! My cousin’s BBQ burger was 3x the size of the kids’ one and she was lovin’ it too.
All around, we had quick and great service, good food, and satisfied tummies! Don’t forget to check in for the fee flatbread which was ok but at least it was free!
By the time we were heading out, my reservation for Gen popped up. Glad we didn’t wait. We would have been way too hungry!

I’ve been coming to this Lazy Dog location over the years since it’s right on the cusp of Huntington Beach and Westminster out of convenience. In this plaza, there is a Chick-​Fil-​A, Diaso, Target, Paviillions, and other small boutique restaurants and shop that make it easy to walk around and get what you need in one location.
Parking: Ample parking spots but because the restaurants/​mom & pop shops are so close to each other, parking around the peak hours can get filled up pretty quick. Tip: If you have passengers, send them of to reserve your place in line while the driver goes off to find parking in the shopping areas of the plaza.
Inside: The hostess table is right up front when you walk in so you can quickly get a number down and wait to be called. They have the light up buzzer sensor waiting method so when you are notified, just go up to the hostess and wait to be seated. Bar is to your right hand side while remainder tables are to the left. There is an outdoor patio space to sit (albeit small) for folks who want to sit outside. This place is PET FRIENDLY so bring your pets if you choose. The walls are decorated with cute dog posters and photos they’ve accumulated over the years — definitely makes you want to do the same to your own home for pet owners.
I came around dinner time around 7pm and there was not a lot of wait time as the restaurant was pretty empty on a weeknight. Keep in mind, reservations are only available for parties of 6 of more. My gf and I got seated right away and we quickly ordered their cajun fries and some water. It took a while for us to finally flag down our sever when we finally wanted to order and even then we barely saw him that night. Thus, majority of the time if we wanted something, we tended to group what we needed all in one message since it took him a while to come back. I think I saw the manager of the location more often handing us our fries, our meals, etc. than our actual server. Overall, food is always good, just service is going downhill a bit year after year it seems to me. If I’m not in a rush, I always find a way back because of their addicting cajun fries!
Plus: Currently there’s a Unilocal freebie check-​in offer for 1 order of (crispy) flat bread with a side of tomato bisque dipping sauce which did not disappoint!

I love this restaurant but their happy hour ends at 6pm so I rarely go there w so many in the area that ends at 7 pm.
That said their fire sautéed calamari with brown rice is the best, it was amazing .
The pizza was also flavorful. My husband loved their IPA, I don’t drink beer but their margarita just hit the spot, the glass was much too small!
I would go back to this beautifully decorated restaurant any day! It’s so cheerful looking it reminded me of the TV show «Cheers».
