Burger King

Walked in today with my family of 6, hoping to get some whoppers. Sadly, this location was out of burger meat. Idk what Burger King runs out of burger but we all were disappointed.

Normally I don’t review fast food places as I go often and the main reason fast food is fast, is usually because it’s consistent and made the same way everywhere. However, my wife and I’s experience at this location just had to be addressed. We came at around 10:00PM last night after a small hospital visit– nothing wrong, just precautionary, and we were STARVING. One person in front of us ordered a caramel shake and a combo meal, nothing crazy. Apparently there was another car in front of her, because when we ordered, it took FOREVER.
Yes, I get that 10:00PM on a Wednesday night means slow service at Burger King. However, the guys inside the place took their sweet time in getting orders out– we had to wait 8 minutes (i timed it) for our fries, our sandwiches just sat there… i mean, you’re a burger king… we would have eaten cold fries, that’s how hungry we were. But no… the guys were just standing around laughing at who knows what and we stewed at the actual window watching them stand around and do nothing as the drive thru backed up. Mind you, we only had two big kings, two fries and a bacon cheeseburger. No special orders, etc. It took 22 minutes to wait for the people in front of us, and wait at the window ourselves. It would not have been that hard to start our fries while we waited for someone to make a caramel sundae.
AARGH. NEVER AGAIN THIS BURGER KING. I’LL GO TO WENDY’S or MC DONALDS instead.

I was in the area for the Wayne County Lightfest along Hines Park Drive. With a carload of people, we needed some hot chocolate before starting our night time adventure.
This Burger King isn’t very big. They have an indoor play area for kids out front. I used their drive thru service, so I can’t comment on their inside amenities.
When ordering, I was informed that they were out of soft drinks. I ordered Hot chocolate, as planned. Then, when picking up the drinks, they politely told me they ran out of small cups, so they gave me an additional medium to make up for the missing small. Somehow, I ordered 6 drinks, but left with 5.
Otherwise, everything else was ok.

I’ve visited this location several times in the past and the service and food was great. That wasn’t the case this time. It wasn’t busy at all and our order wasn’t that difficult. To make matters worse, when we came in and let them know that our order was very wrong (grilled chicken on both salads instead of crispy and no apple cider sauce), no one offered a free meal the next time we visited. When we got our refund they didn’t even return the receipt. And when we called later for their 1 – 800 number (which they claimed not to have), Bobbie had an attitude. There are definitely better Burger Kings than this one.

This Burger King has good fountian pop. Also, it has one of those big play areas if you have kids. Its clean for a fast food place and I’ve never gotten sick or had anything that was bad. The drive-​through is a tight squeeze so be careful.
