I was working as a caregiver for senior helpers and studying at the same time. The people that work in the office are great(dona, ann, jennifer, richard, and dennis) they were always there if you needed them for anything. They were always quick to respond and always on top of things! They didnt treat you as an employee but more like a friend. Their clients are the best! Ive built some great relationships with some of the people i was caring for!

Senior Helpers was taking care of my mother for nearly two years. They were good for awhile, then recently started slacking off. My mother’s regular caregiver(who we were very happy with) quit suddenly, we were never notified. Care was scheduled, the caregiver never showed up. Again, no notification, no explanation. Things have started disappearing from my mother’s apartment. Yesterday was the last straw. The caregiver they sent yesterday I was assured had«years of experience» treated my mother like a demented two year old, drove her to tears. My mother has short term memory loss, she’s not an idiot. When I called to complain, they didn’t even have the courtesy of calling me back. Not only did I fire them, I’m filing a complaint against them with the state. UPDATE: The owner of Senior Helpers, Dennis Wood, called me this morning. He made no excuses, was contrite, and determined to find out what happened. He just called me again and accused my mother of being a racist. «The last two caregivers were African-American, could that be why your mother didn’t like them?» The last caregiver HADMYMOTHERINTEARS!!! Yelling at her! Who does that? But, no, it’s my mother’s fault because she must have a problem with the color of their skin!!!

As an employe and cna I highly suggest other cnas or home health aid to NOT seek employment for this company ! They pay so low and make false accusations if you ever have to file for unemployment with them. Owner Dennis is rude and has a very unprofessional since of humor. They charge families around $ 24 a hour and pay their cnas what inn and out workers make when they first start ! For all the hard work, showering, dressing, cleaning and perineal care(cleaning below the belt) it’s not worth it! The only reward is meeting great clients and forming relationships with them and their families ! Stay away !
