Framestore

I brought in 3 relatively inexpensive items to be framed. One was 8×10 and the other two were about 15×18. The employee seemed very knowledgable and had a really nice selection of frames and mattes. Before my 50% off coupon was applied, he said it would be around $ 460 to frame my small 8×10 print. To do all 3 prints would be around $ 1600. When I explained that I didn’t understand how it would be possible that $ 1600 in materials and labor would be used to frame 3 small prints, he told me I couldn’t think of it that way. He said it would be more like $ 800 with my coupon. He kept deflecting my original question which made me question their entire pricing scheme. Then as I was packing up my prints, he kept talking about white dots and red dots and certain discounts in an attempt to get my business.
Perhaps if I had a really really expensive item to frame with an unlimited budget, this place would be great. Expect to be quoted $ 400 – 700 an item. Probably not the best place to go for your everyday framing needs. I should have looked at the other Unilocal reviews before visiting. It appears other customers at other locations have had similar experiences.

Excellent work is done at this store, with an exceptional amount of knowledge & dedication. Katarina framed a sweater that mattered dearly to my family, as if it were an item treasured by her own family. She attended to minute details that I didn’t even notice, while simultaneously listening to my preferences without imposing her own. She utilizes both her artistic dedication and knowledge of framing to create very special products that can be kept for generations.

Decent quality of framing, but the service leaves much to be desired. Today when I entered the store, I was told by the one and only service rep that hat she’s finishing up and would be right with me. After waited patiently for 30 min, the clerk not only didn’t try to wrap up her work with the customer she’s been helping, but she started to chat! There was no end in sight that she could finish anytime soon (although it appeared that she has completed the order), so I took my business somewhere else. The service was Inefficient and the service rep was inconsiderate! If you have all day to waste, this might be an option!

I had a great experience at the Framestore with Kat. She is a consummate professional and did a masterful job matting my college and law diplomas. They look amazing and I will return to Kat to have her help me with my future framing projects.

Very good helpful customer service from this store, and very happy with the results. Also Katarina spent a lot of time helping me to make the right decision.
