This is a great casual place for a brunch, lunch, or dinner. Too bad it’s not open year-round. The food is consistent, and the waitstaff is very attentive and friendly. This place is hopping in the summer. The owner, Sandy, is a delight. The food is always fresh. The specials board always has something for everyone. We look forward to Mother’s Day weekend when it reopens for the season.

We haven’t been here for a number of years, & after reading some of these reviews, frankly had doubts about trying it again before a show at the Performing Arts Center. We needn’t have worried. The food was delicious & the service was friendly & attentive. Try any of the scallop dishes. The pan seared scallops with balsamic vinegar were perfectly cooked, tasty & tender! 3 others in our party all loved their choices as well. We’ll be going back soon!

***WARNING: IT’s 2015 and THISRESTAURANTDOESNOTACCEPTCREDITCARDSORDEBITCARDS. AMEXONLY! ANDTHEYDON’T LETYOUKNOWUNTILIT’s TOOLATE! The food was ok but the payment bombshell at the end of the meal was a huge detractor. The waitress let us know when she brought the bill. What made it so bad was the owner hovering over our table, not two minutes later, reinforcing that they don’t accept credit cards other than Amex. It was embarrassing having to trek about for payment options(one of the nearby ATMs was out of service). All this, plus the fact that they served a $ 10 old-fashioned cocktail in a wine glass, was the coup de grace. Never again!

Went with my wife for a fine romantic dinner. The food was terrible the service was terrible and the place was crowded(not enough eateries in Westhampton) Do NOT waste your time and money as well wasting your taste buds. They shouldn’t just close for the season, they should close for good! Couldn’t even make a martini correctly. A main problem for trendy areas. They will survive on one time customers. Unfortunate, but true!

Stopped in as we visited Bookhampton. The outdoors seating was nice. More for families then is but we enjoyed. The food selections were great and they were able to accommodate our dietary needs as well.

Went here for breakfast on a late Saturday morning with my sister. Place was busy and we were lucky enough to get seated right away outside on the front porch. Beautiful place, wonderful top notch service and delicious food. Can’t say anything bad about it! Wonderful experience and cannot wait to go back!

You order breakfast at the counter and they give you a pager for when it is ready. The lady that took our order was short and not the friendly place on the planet. I would have given them 4 stars if she was nice. The order was ready quickly and the food was above average.

Ate here two nights ago and both I and my companion agreed the food was horrid. We sat at a lovely table on the front patio but that was all that was good. I ordered pasta with chicken and broccoli. The penne was ok. The chicken was chunks of grizzly white meat encased in some sort of gummy white pasty sauce. Could not eat any. Broccoli was overlooked and very old tasting. Avoid this ripoff restaurant or you will regret it like I do.

We came on a Sunday night in mid-October, very much post season. We were quickly seated in a quaint room with a lot of charm near the bar. Our waiter was a attentive, brought us bread and water and took our orders after giving us time to peruse the menu. I ordered Chicken Francais and my wife the coconut shrimp. My chicken was moist, tender, and the garlic, lemon, and wine sauce was delicious. The baked potato came plain but we asked for sour cream and it was promptly delivered. Mixed vegetables of broccoli, carrots, an cauliflower, were fresh, cooked appropriately, but I thought could have used some butter and salt. I tried adding some of the butter that came with the bread, but the veggies were not hot enough to melt it. My wife said the coconut shrimp were great and concurred on the veg and potato opinion. Meals were moderately priced, but $ 9 for a glass of «house» white seemed steep. All in all a very good meal and experience. Many of the earlier reviews mentioned long wait times, and erratic service but we experienced neither. Good food, nice ambience, and worth the visit. Btw. Bring cash they don’t accept credit cards.

Worst service I have ever had. Do not go there even though they think they are good. I am glad they will close shop soon. Place sucks.

Guys. Food is nothing special but fine. BUT… They don’t take credit cards. It’s two thousand F-ing fourteen. That’s insane. Are the owners reading about the bad service? It’s because the waitstaff spends half their time HANDWRITING the tickets and then getting an old ass calculator out to add up bill and run tax. It’s INSANE. Catch up to the 90’s at least. Get a POS system and your service will improve dramatically. Wow

Cute little café with great sea food! Came here for a cast party after a performance for dinner and they were happy to seat all of us teenagers. The brunch selections are delicious. I ordered an apple pie stuffed french toast about two summers ago before I went gf. Hope they come up with some gf pancake or waffle choices soon!

Second time eating here; first time I had breakfast and it was passable. Dinner was a bust. Ordered chicken wings which is hard to mess up. Presentation was bad and it tasted rancid. French fries had the same funky taste. Replacement burger was good. Overall mediocre and I won’t be back

Let me be very clear, I ate nothing here. Not a bite. I sat at the bar and was served a flat diet coke but that wasn’t the problem. The problem with this restaurant is that it is that they employ racists. We have a black man in the White House but racism and prejudice is alive and well in the United States. It is alive and well at the Post Stop Café. I went into this establishment with my husband and another friend of ours. My husband and I are white, our friend is not, he is black. From the moment we walked in it was very clear we were not welcome there. Beginning with hostile looks from the hostess and driven home by the racist bartender, Robert. We sat at the bar and were ignored. Yes, he ignored us. He ignored our requests for service, he would not look at us. We had to ask repeatedly for service. He was too busy wiping down the bar to be bothered with serving customers. After sitting there for 10 minutes and being ignored we paid for our drinks and left. It was painful and obvious what the problem was. This was not imagined or exaggerated. I have described the experience exactly as it happened.

This restaurant is one of our favorite retreats on the weekends. It’s cozy and casual, just like the menu touts. The hospitality is warm and welcoming, even on days when it is very busy. We are always greeted with a friendly smile and referred to by our names. Our favorite menu items are listed on a large menu board that changes daily and is hand carried by the hostess to every table. One of the featured specials we favor is the cranberry almond chicken salad wrap. Another delicious meal is the large mixed green salad with grilled chicken, an assortment of fresh seasonal fruits, almonds, and toasted coconut topped with an orange sesame ginger dressing. Trust us, this place is a must!

I have eaten at the Post Stop Café many times and it is one of the very best restaurants around! The food is always amazing, the restaurant is very clean, the service is terrific, and it has the greatest atmosphere. If I could, I would eat there every day!

If I came back the second night out here. it must be good… either that or they gave me the cool outside corner table twice on two gorgeous nights! and my party was small … once me… and 2 friends who came over to say hi… from the beach bakery… then me and friend MaryAnne. they were so nice! Very accommodating… very helpful with recommendations… the staff, the location and the porch, and the cheesy white christmas lights make the place the fun place it is to be. The food was fine. Rasberry sorbet was Haagen– Dazs but they were so generous… and made it look like fun. The fried banana and carmel/mocha or something drizzled over vanilla ice cream were deadly. Too fried… will never succumb like that again.(supposedly). They have nice salads with all kinds of fun things, mango, pears, nuts, etc etc. They have creative dishes like pasta with mussels, sausage etc. And they have standard old boring strip steak & baked potato with veg…(eek — yes I got that in the Hampton’s where seafood is all you should be thinking). They have a cool turkey burger with cranberry etc. Fun place — in a cool little small town village. Open in warm weather only. Westhampton is a very seasonal village. More so than any I other I have seen.

My experience at the Post Stop Café was about average. I had the Shrimp Scampi which I enjoyed very much, however, be sure to ask for the Shrimp Scampi over pasta or you’ll starve. My mother had one of the best Turkey burgers we ever consumed. Their turkey burger is served on a whole wheat English muffin, well seasoned, juicy and contain whole cranberries in every other bite and topped with melted gorgonzola cheese. Absolutely out of this world. My stepfather had the Scallops which he devoured! We all greatly enjoyed our meals. Our waitress was forgetable, but the service was average. I would definitely go back just for that Turkey burger!
