My boyfriend has been on the hunt for a great hairdresser in LA for the past three years, and on the suggestion of a co-​worker he came here and saw Ashley. All I can say is — THANK YOU! He is so beyond happy with his cut every time he comes in! Ashley does an amazing job!

The place is cozy and comfortable with some parking spots in the back. There’s also metered parking or you can park across the street if you want to go to Starbucks or Bristol Farms beforehand.
I loved their customer service from the owner to the receptionist to the hair stylist. They were so kind.
I had Ursula cut my hair and she did a FANTASTIC job!!! Seriously, my standards are hard to beat. She has over 20 years of experience so I was in good hands.
Definitely make an appointment since they can get busy.
It’s the perfect place if you’re in the area or coming from LAX. The price is completely reasonable and my cut included a wash beforehand.
Don’t forget to give a good tip if you’re satisfied.
PS: The important thing is to make a haircut or hair treatment a fun experience, which is exactly what they do :).

Aaron is literally the best in all the west. He should charge more but don’t tell him that or we’d all lose out on these amazing haircuts.

I came here because of the Unilocal reviews and it was just as promised! Cece took care of me. I walked in and sat in the chair. I did not have to wait for her to finish another customer. That was really nice because I really don’t like to wait. Cece cut my hair and trimmed my bangs and did a great job. She has a very good eye. She pays attention to the little things. No one tried to sell me overpriced shampoo either. In fact, Cece gave me a free sample of some hiar serum. Very cool. The salon is in a great location in Westchester. The ambiance is like someone’s living room, very relaxed. There were lots of men and boys who were customers. Another hair stylist cut the hair of a boy about 12 (I’m guessing). It was a great cut! The kid’s hair was really thick. The place is busy enough, just very chill. I’m going back.

I went to see Ashley yesterday for a blow dry and she was awesome! My blow dry standards are pretty high and she exceeded them all with flying colors! Sweet, calm and just lovely, not to mention a very fair price. Will definitely be back! Thanks Ashley

I had a great experience at Uncle Aaron’s today. Hands down this is the best cut I’ve had in a long time.
I usually make my hair appointments last minute and haven’t been married to one stylist. Probably because I haven’t found one that I loved yet until today. When I called this am to book, they put me down with Ashley for 2pm.
In the salon with really no major direction other than wanting to look different, my thinner hair can make some of the longer styles look flat on me, we discussed going for a lob with curls. The look that was super popular circa summer/​fall 2015.
Keeping in mind everyone looks like a wet rat after they come out of the shampoo sink, I tried not to fear that I was cutting off a good 2 – 3 inches of hair. After the main cut, we decided to do bangs. Though I’ve had them for years, when I didn’t something just felt off to me so she cut and blended them in. They are literally the best bangs I’ve ever had cut.
Ashley even showed me how to do the curls the way I wanted. Flat iron as curling iron, I need some practice but it was great to actually be shown by an experienced stylist.
When done, she asked me how I felt about the cut though I said I had to get used to it, by the time I walked out I literally felt like my hair was fit for a hair magazine. It’s one of the only times I’ve ever walked out of a salon with the exact cut and style I wanted.
So happy, and plenty of compliments to go with the new do, I’ll be back for an appointment with Ashley when it’s time for a new look.

Got a fresh cut and my hair dyed a while back. I’ll be a repeat customer. Service was excellent, people were friendly, it’s convenient for me, and most importantly my hair looked dope.

Didn’t even make it to the salon because of the rude costumer service on the phone. Lol must be a joke. I asked if I can come in the next 20 – 30 minutes and wasn’t even finished saying for what. Hmmm perhaps a consultation? & was cut off with a rude you may not. Lol very cute

Love you CC! My haircuts are regularly done «spontaneously». Although you should make an appointment, CC always finds a way to squeeze me in. Thank you for that! And I never really know what to do with my hair, but CC works her magic and I always feel great when she’s done!

Chill place. Had my hair cut by Ashley and liked the outcome. She was nice, and we carried a on a good conversation. As an LMU student, this place is convenient to walk to whenever I need a cut. There’s also a $ 5 discount for students. I recommend it and will be going again.

Started seeing Cece earlier this year to get a cut and color. I showed her images of hair that I really liked and she has helped me achieve the style and received many compliments from strangers! I plan on seeing her again for touch-​ups.
The place is super easy to find and parking lot on the street corner, front or back.

Even after moving to Anaheim, I still find myself making the drive back to get my haircut by CeCe. Great service as always, and the haircut is great. Definitely recommend!

Aaron himself is rude and unfriendly. I have been going there for a year and have decided to stop after being scolded for missing an appt on a National Holiday. A NATIONAL HOLIDAY.
Ashley Thrashley is great, she does great work, fast and has personality. She understands business and gets that things do come up.
I won’t be going back ever.

I’ve been dreading writing this review… I hate calling people out, but here we go…
I was really looking to find a new hair place near work or home instead of driving deep into Torrance each time and after reading all the reviews, I thought this was it… But nope.
I haven’t had bangs in about 25 years… but thought it was time for a change. I told Brittany that I was really nervous about it and she said that I could trust her… At this point, I started getting excited about my potential new look!
And then she did THIS to me (see pic!). I showed her a couple cute pics of how I wanted it… cute, full but wispy bangs that fell just below my brows. But she did this weird thing where she twisted a chunk of my hair after washing it and cut it so short… that when it dried, it shrank up about an inch and was sparse in areas and fuller in others! Being that she does hair… shouldn’t she know this basic cut??? I was just short of freaking out but stayed until the very end… UGH. Notice how crooked it is!!! It’s higher on one side than the other… see how it’s above my eyebrows on the right? It was horrible. She may have deterred me from ever having bangs ever again! It took about 6 months for them to grow out to a reasonable length for me to get them fixed.
I think she realized that she messed up that she just stopped cutting and just started blow drying… didn’t even try to even it out cause it would have been even shorter.
She was a sweet girl… but never getting my hair done here again… So glad I didn’t have more done!

Update: a full month later, il shocked that my gel manicure still looks great. Definitely the longest I’ve had one last!

I went out on a whim and tried these guys/​gals due to the Unilocal reviews since I’m going on a vacation had to get my hair on point since my normal barber was booked for the day and I couldn’t have been happier I did so!
I think I have found my new favorite place to get my haircut now and I’m pretty sure I won’t let other barbers touch my hair anymore.
I had Brittany cut my hair and she did awesome, probably the best cut I’ve had in my trials with different barbershops around LA within the past 2 years. She really paid attention to the details and knew how to work with my face shape. She gave me an undercut and didn’t make the mistake of cutting too high like some other barbershops I’ve been to. She even gave me some tips on how to style it and keep it that way.
Loved the atmosphere in there and everybody was real chill and laid back. Nothing like a fresh haircut to boost your mood. I will definitely be back!

I went to Uncle Aaron’s for a Haircut and highlights. I called on Sunday and got an appointment on the same day itself with Cece.
I had really long hair, up to my waist… and I was trying out a new look this time. I showed Cece a couple of pictures and also explained what I wanted.
She worked her wonder on my hair and the haircut turned out to be the cutest one I have had so far.
The highlights looked good, but, somehow, my husband and I weren’t entirely convinced that they suited me well.
I got in touch with Cece and explained how I wasn’t entirely happy with the color. She asked me to come back again and offered to redo it at no extra cost.
So today I went back, and Cece highlighted my hair exactly the way I had envisioned.
Totally loving the new look… :)

Ashley she is so classy! Yup! I said it because I thought it flowed so nicely.
Ashley has been taking my hair from black to light light brown. This is not an easy task. She does such a great job with color & my cut is always exactly what I want. She doesn’t get scissor happy. She listens and takes her time.
Uncle Aaron… This man is amazing with hair I have been seeing him for years. He books up quick so try to book in advance and people show up for your appointments. Nothing worse than booking in advance and blowing off your stylist.
Uncle Aaron runs his salon with pride and he has put so much into his business to make guests feel welcome from the sweet glass of wine to the cookies. I love him! He give me my Brazilian Blow out keratin treatments.
Ci ci is new and I went to her for a blow out. Did I say the write term? I had my hair washed and styled and walked out feeling like Cindy Crawford (love her) she gave me the smoothest most silky styled look. She is amazing!
Brittany is always next to the station I sit at and I can say just by looking she knows what she is doing. She put some pink extensions in my hair for breast cancer awareness.
Book here you will not be disappointed.

Unfortunately, I could not agree with the stellar reviews here. My regular lady wasn’t available and I had the day off, so I thought I’d give Uncle Aaron’s a shot.
The stylist should have been more diligent because I noticed that there were some longer strands on my left side when I returned home. I had to trim them myself. Lesson learned — wait for my regular stylist and stick with her (tried and true).
Perhaps he had an off day — we all do, but I just wish he would have been more careful with a first-​time client such as myself. First impressions carry a lot of weight in my book, and I won’t be back.
*The owner contacted me and I learned that this stylist has since left Uncle Aaron’s. The owner has been nothing but attentive and kind to me. I am changing my review to 3 stars and am hopeful that I will have a better haircut experience next time.

Just got yet another fantastic haircut from Uncle Aaron’s!!! I have been going here for almost 6 years and leave so happy every time I visit. I don’t trust anyone else with my hair!
Uncle Aaron’s is an experience to be had as the shop is always evolving and boasts top quality products that won’t leave your wallet empty.
Get in and check out the new mani pedi part of the shop! But don’t level without grabbing a delicious cookie and cup of coffee for free of course :)
The stylists are unique and friendly!
