Papa John’s Pizza

This review isn’t really just for the pizza. The pizza is just what you’d expect from a large chain. Better than domino’s or pizza hut. My nephew loves those tiny garlic sauce packets.
This review and the reason it’s five stars is the politeness, professionalism and genuine honesty of Phil the delivery driver. Phil has to be the best delivery driver I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. He reviews your order verbally with you, all with a smile. He’s so nice, you want to invite him in for a slice.
I’m a cheap man. I often do carry out. But I’ll always get delivery from Papa Johns hoping to say hello to Phil and to see his happy face.

Absolutely a joke, this place is! On the multiple occasions we placed an order for delivery to either never get the order or get a call close to an hour later saying that their equipment is down. Food is crap as well

I was so impressed with one of their deliver drivers who i had the pleasure of meeting names phillip Hughes. He was on time and when we opened the door our dog ran out on a very cold night. He was so kind and ran after out dog and caught her. My whole family is so greatful for his heroic actions. It is so good to see such good christian neighbors are willing to help out.

We have given this place several chances. They seem to always get things wrong. This last time WAS the last time we will ever order from them. I placed the order online the day before to be ready at 6 pm the following day. I received my confirmation, and printed it and gave it to my husband who was going to pick it up. When he got there, they did not have it. They said someone canceled it (no we did not). Just covering because they forgot to make it. They said to wait, it would only take 15 minutes. Sorry, this pizza is not good enough to wait for. Past problems with our order: not sliced square as requested (not a biggie but still); a pizza ordered with one ingredient on one side and a different ingredient on the other side, they put both on one side, the other side had cheese only; and another time jalapenos put on top so when it cooked they were little black shriveled up pieces. Yes, the place is conveniently located, and yes, with discounts the price is ok for very mediocre pizza, but they obviously don’t care about getting it right.

This has nothing to do with the pizza itself… solely the service.
My husband ordered a pizza online at 5pm to be delivered at 6:15. When the pizza hadn’t arrived at 6:40, I called to ask about the status. We were told that the driver got lost and that we’d get a call back with an update. 15 minutes went by with no call back. My husband calls and asks, we’re told we’d get Papa Johns credit and fresh pizza delivered.
Would have been fine if the story ended there.
When the pizza hadn’t arrived at 7:45, I call to inquire on the status again. I’m told that the pizza’s been ready for 20 minutes but because they only had 2 drivers it hasn’t gone out. And you couldn’t have called and told me this? At that point we would have just driven and picked it up. I then tell them I don’t want pizza that’s been sitting around for 20 minutes and I’m told they’ll make it again and deliver it. I ask what the point would be to have had my pizza made not once, not twice but three times? I just want toe order cancelled and the money put back on my card. I ask them how they can do this and I’m put on extended holds multiple times over the 13 minute phone call and I’m told a manager has to do this but the next manager won’t be in until 9pm and he’ll just have to leave a note. Understandably, I get frustrated and tell them I need more of a guarantee. I will admit, I wasn’t being the most laid back person at this point and need more of a confirmation that my money is going to be put back on my card.
It was at this point that I got mad. The person I was speaking to at Papa Johns then asked me if my husband was home. I asked him why and he told me it was because I was being hostile. You asked to speak to my husband because I’m out of control? Is this 1945?
Needless to say, the call ended. I’m not sure if my money is going to be credited back and you can guarantee I won’t be ordering from this location ever again.

I use to really like papa Johns, from a price stand point you can basically ALWAYS find a deal and chances are they have a local deals to go along with the national deal’s… I still think they are the best in terms of national $ 10 – 15 chain pizzas

Poor location. On several occasions, this location has forgotten to deliver items. Two weeks ago I submitted an order online for delivery at about 8:45pm. I received a call 15 minutes later and was told they were no longer delivering for the night, huh? Just too many issues with this location.

Ordered pizza here at least 20 – 30 times in the last couple of years and only had one problem, a sideways pizza. Quality of ingredients is good apart from the meats, prices are fair, and every delivery has been pretty quick.

Ordered online Friday Fed 27, received my email confirmation at 10:55 PM.
After waiting nearly an hour for an order that I was told would arrive in 30 – 40 min, I tried calling the store at 11:50 PM (they close at 12 AM), to inquire the status of my order…
I was HUNG UP ON after letting it ring several minutes…
To be clear, the store did NOT call, text, or email if there was any problem with my order… Very disappointed and angry, not the first time delivery was a no-​show from this location for us, but mainly cuz my car had broken down so delivery was my only option to eat tonight, and after waiting all this time for a NO-​SHOW there are no other restaurants which will deliver this late…
So FUCK THIS STORE IN PARTICULAR, and also FUCK PAPA JOHN’S, their customer service address bounced back my email complaint on this issue

Not sure what took longer… the 1.5 hour delivery of my food, or the time I spent on the toilet involuntarily expelling it.

Ordered pizza at noon, and was given an estimated delivery time of 30 – 40 minutes. After 50 minutes I called and was told the pizza was on the way. 30 minutes later I called again to find out where my pizza was and the girl that answered the phone said the delivery guy was not from the area… um…ok. When I mentioned I had been waiting nearly and hour and a half, all she said was «I know.». Pizza finally showed up and hour and a half after I ordered it. This will be the first and last time I order from this location. Terrible service.

I got the Groupon for 3 extra-​large five-​topping pizzas for $ 24.99 ($ 8.33) and decided to go to this Papa John’s because it was on my way home from work. The people over the phone were friendly, and said the pizza would be ready in 15 minutes.
I got there (about 15 minutes later), and they said the pizza was not ready because they used a large crust instead of an extra large crust (and they were recooking it). I waited about 10 more minutes, and it was ready by then. The staff apologized, and didn’t charge me any tax or anything extra. I appreciated the favor, went home, and the pizza was pretty good.

I just had this delivered for four nine year old boys after they finished playing two hours of rat hockey, and they said it was bad!
If they did not like this pizza who would?
