Laser & Med Spa

Wow. Terrible. Office is extremely run down with handmade signs. I used a groupon for laser, had done this at other med spas and was used to the process. They warned of burning skin, gave me ice for the area prior to the laser being used. I was alarmed as this was never mentioned or a possibility in any other place I had been. Then their machine — such pain. I have very little to laser at this point, it was a touch up. At my regular place there is no pain at all at this point. The machine was completely different from any I had ever seen. Seemed antiqued, had frayed wires. And there was no difference in the little I had left to laser — after all the pain it didn’t even work?! I went back to groupon and they immediately refunded my entire amount, wondering if there were other complaints.

No it is not a fancy spa, like another review said, but everything is clean. When everything is running on time you are in and out fast. The staff is very friendly. The doctor however is not friendly at all. You have to have a consultation before you can start any treatment. He was very rude I felt and a bit of a creep.
As nice as the staff is and as quick as you can get in and out, don’t expect your appointments to be kept on their half. They call to cancel and reschedule a lot of times! Out of 5 appointments, 4 were rescheduled. They recently got a new esthetician, so maybe that will change things.
The new esthetician does treatment totally different than the other girl who was there. So I am not sure who did what wrong but I have seen ZERO results. 6 treatments and a complete waste to money. They totally miss areas that are suppose to be treated. Only gets 2 stars because everyone really is nice, they just don’t actually treat anything.

I bought the groupon for the laser hair removal over the summer and have been getting my treatments every six weeks.
This place isn’t fancy or spa like, but I never have to wait for my appointment and Bea is always on time. I also get a call the day before, which I think is a nice touch for any spa/​salon experiences. I also added the IPL laser treatment for my face because I have a lot of redness and they use the same machine so I could go in and get both treatments in one session.
My results for hair removal have been really good, I am happy so far. They even offered to sell me another package to finish the treatment (since mine was only a 6 session deal) they would honor the groupon price plus add another treatment. That’s a really good deal!
The facial results are just ok, and yes, it does feel like a rubberband snapping/​shocking you when the treatment is applied. I hope if I have a few more sessions the redness will subside more. I think a lot of my redness is environmental but I can tell there is a difference because of the laser treatment.
I did take one star off because the space is in serious need of a facelift but it’s by no means dirty. They’re nice enough, do a good job and I appreciate that they are not snooty towards their customers.

I also bought a Groupon for this place and I better get a refund; I’ve already contested the charge with my credit card.
First off, there is nothing spa-​like about this place at all. It is an old, sad medical office. I wouldn’t go to a place this sad for medical treatment unless it was my only option, honestly.
Secondly, the doctor has no consideration for his customers’ time. The appointment for my consultation was at 11:45. I gave up at 12:25 and left. About 15 minutes after my appointment time I was put into a room where I just waited with out any interaction with anyone. When I finally did leave, I told the woman at the front desk I was leaving and all she could tell me was that «you’re next.» Well, duh! I should have been next at 11:45. I took the effort to be on time and allow time for paperwork, it would be nice if this doctor had half as much consideration for his patients. The woman from the front desk couldn’t even find him when I was leaving!
Anyway, the short story is to just stay away from this place. I won’t go back and wouldn’t really be comfortable getting the laser hair removal there anyway since the place just seemed dirty and gross.
