If you believe that you were wronged by Nu U Med Spa and want your money back, then visit this page: (please read the update at bottom of this review) I cannot believe that I fell for their scheme again! I guess it’s because I really wanted to believe what they were promising(results) was true, but I just snapped out of it and realized that they are full of crap! Let me start from the beginning. About 1.5 years ago I purchased a $ 2,000 treatment for Lipo Dissolve. After several painful treatments, I saw absolutely NORESULTS. After I called to complain, the doctor told me it could take up to a whole year to see the full results. I called a year later and he said I should wait longer or I could come in for more treatments. I said I would wait longer. Well now it’s April 2009 and I left several messages that I wanted a refund back because ITDIDNOTWORK. So after a long conversation, the sales person told me that all of the patients who did not get results could get a big discount to try this newest procedure that is GUARANTEED to work. It all sounded good, and of course I want this fat gone, so I scheduled the appointment and paid a deposit for the new treatment. Ten minutes after realizing that I was an idiot for making the same mistake twice, I decided to call back and cancel my deposit, and try to get back a refund for the first procedure that didn’t work. Gina said that she couldn’t give me a refund, but the corporate office would have to call me. She also wouldn’t give me the corporate number. Now I am freaking out because other reviews on Unilocal have said that they have had horrible service from the corporate office(won’t call you or won’t answer your calls) and it takes 3 months to get a refund on a deposit. I want a refund on my deposit AND on the services that they did that did not work. I think that we should all post not only on Unilocal,but as many other sites as possible to try to get people to join us for the class action law suit. Thank you! — Alexis Here is an update as of 4÷15÷09: Nu U Spa did refund the $ 1,000 deposit a few days after I posted this review, but they are now saying that they cannot give me a refund for the $ 2,000 for the services I had done when the company was known as «Sona Med Spa». The truth of the matter is that each Sona Med Spa is independently owned and operated, and when they get sold, the company taking over gets their old client base — which includes unsatisfied clients. My problem is that Nu U is saying they have no liability and don’t have to give me a refund, even though: it’s the same location, they do the same procedures, the same doctors work there(including the one who said he would give me a refund if I wasn’t satisfied), and the Sona Med Spa corporate office told me that since each Sona Med Spa is independently owned and operated, the good and the bad(clients and complaints) are transfered over to the new company(Nu U Spa). The Director of Administration at Sona’s Corporate Headquarters even told me that the Doctor who promised me a refund if I wasn’t satisfied was the owner of that Sona Med Spa location at that time and I should expect my money to come from him, even if he operates under the new name of Nu U Spa. Nu U has even threatened to SUE me if I don’t take down my initial review, so to compromise I am keeping this review updated. I am not slandering anyone, I am speaking the truth, as I only want this matter resolved. I am getting the run around with all parties telling me that I should go after the other company. I will update this review as soon as I get further information.
