Yeah sooo… you will have a better time if you go in expecting all the comments about the negative reviews to be true. Expect the weird service charge no one can explain. Expect to nearly die charred by hot coals when your waiter knocks over your hookah. Expect little to no buzz from the overpriced stuff they offer. Expect tiny cups of overpriced juice… I mean alcohol. And if you find a bug in your drink when you’re almost done don’t bother telling the manager who will just reply, «well you already drank it.» Oh and food… lets just say there’s a reason they don’t advertise a menu and you’d be better off with Brooklyn public school lunch. Music was not bad. However if you’re going for the advertised belly dancers better go early cuz those itches were out by the time we got there around 1130. So all in all if you can go in with low expectations, arrive buzzed, and bring friends for your own personal entertainment, you should have a good time. Enjoy!

Absolutely terrible. Save yourself the money and go ANY where else. We came on a Saturday night for the first time and ordered 3 hookahs. We were told that on weekends we have to get an apple or pineapple base but we were not told that they were extra, $ 10 per pineapple to be exact. We figured it was a weekend special since it was required. Our bill came out to $ 130 for absolutely no reason and when discussed with the waitress we were told«sorry I didn’t know I need to tell you that it’s extra money» and the manager was NO help. If we knew it was $ 30 per hookah we would have never stayed. Do your self a favor and do not go!!!

I really like this little spot. It’s on the smaller side but it’s perfectly decorated and has cozy couches where you can sit back and enjoy some hookah. The beer selection is lacking but honestly you’re there more to smoke than to drink. The music is okay and set at an acceptable level during the week so you can have a conversation without shouting. The menu offers a bunch of flavors but I usually stick with mint since it leaves you feeling clean and fresh after. It’s nice to have a small hookah lounge rather than some of the bigger ones out there where you lose your party and feel like everyone is on top of you.

Decent lounge, the menu is pretty vast and our group loved the Mojito and Skittles flavors. Spent a couple hours, had a few drinks. The music is extremely loud and the sharing fees, I’m not a fan of.

Went there this past weekend to celebrate my birthday. We did the VIP package which included a guarantee table for 8 people, unlimited Hookah for 4 hrs and 1 bottle of the choice we wanted. The waitress was very nice, she took a very good care of us. All my friends loved the place, the décor and the DJ played really good music. We got lucky and they had a belly dancer on Saturday and oh boy I definitely had a blast dancing with her. The reason I don’t give them 5 stars is because towards the end of the night we asked them to change our hookahs it took about 45 mins and we have to keep reminding them about it. By the time they they brought them up it was almost time for us to go and they end up bringing 5 of them at the same time. I will definitely go back the place, I really had a great time and so did all my friends.

This place don’t deserve even one star. Shittiest service ever. They over charged my credit card and gave me a refund slip bur the refund never came back. Man like this is just a weird way to do business. Guys please watch out. M never going to this place ever.

Mystique Hookah Lounge has a nice ambiance but, lacks in service. Many of the other guests seemed to be serviced well and were made to feel welcomed. Our group of 6 was a little excluded seemingly. When me and my other friend arrive we ordered two hookahs and they took about 25−30min plus the 10min. It took for the guy helping us to be found to assist us. It’s a really good place but, I would like for the customer service to be better and the interaction to be better. Also, you don’t get at least a free water apparently but I can’t fully attest someone told me that.

This place use to be happening and the best spot to hang out in LI back in 2011. Now it’s just wack. Service is bad. They don’t come to change the coal even after asking them to. Hookah is extremely over priced. You pay now than NYC hookah and still don’t get that flavor. The bill is widely manipulated and there are unexplained charges that surprise you. I’m very disappointed that once a great place is now only robbing people off money.

Haven’t been to many hookah places on LI but this is defiantly one of the nicer ones. Love the environment in here. Décor, aquarium, full bar, good service and nice selection of hookahs. However, they didn’t honor the coupon from my check in on Unilocal so 4 stars.

Hot and happening hooka lounge at the heart of Hicksville!!! The service and the hooka there is absolutely wonderful… the private little space in the back is really cosy… I was there last night with my bf and a friend and we had a great time! I definitely recommend this joint to anyone in the area… This will most likely become my post beach day rituals in the summer :)

I’ve been here multiple times and have held off writing a bad review but this place is incredibly overpriced for a Long Island Hookah Bar. There’s up charges on everything and you’re not getting what you end up paying for. I don’t mind paying well for a good product but besides the hospitality of some of the staff, the product and experience is just awful. As many said there’s a sharing fee which is pretty bogus if you’re getting multiple hookahs for a small group. Went on a Saturday night and the bowl for the coals were only a pineapple or guava(I think?). Well anyways this was another $ 10 charge as regular bowls weren’t available. I don’t need to be smoking out of a pineapple nor did I really want to but was forced to oblige to this up charge as well. I ordered a Jack Daniel’s and what I got was certainly not Jack. I’m going to assume there’s some tampering with the liquor whether it be switching with bottom shelf or lower tiered alcohol or at the very least watering down. The servers and staff were attentive and very hospitable. Décor was… confused… Another charge to note is that tip is included in your bill. Nothing wrong with this but it’s not super clear as then if you pay with card there’s room for tip again. A lot of businesses do this and I get it but customers should be aware of it. Lastly, the DJ. The DJ needs to understand where he is and what his role is. You’re at a hookah LOUNGE on LONGISLAND. Relax a bit with the house music and volume. I’m in my 20s and was close to offended how loud the music was at one point. Couldn’t talk to the person next to you. If I want to just smoke hookah and not be social I could of sat in a small room with a hookah and bose headphones on full blast and had the same experience. One song I guess was his jam and thought«wow this is my moment, I’m going to kill it» and cranked the volume up so high that I looked around and everyone had the same look of «what the…». Calm down Mr. DJ. 3 strikes for this place, won’t be going back. Take the trip to Astoria for a real hookah bar experience.

Extremely small parking lot and surrounding area has very little parking. I tried going here three times and never got to the point where I actually got seated, wait was long and very limited seating. All three times I left to go to Steinway which isn’t so close.

I normally go to the one in Farmingdale but last Friday I went to this location with my friends. I honestly felt more relaxed at this location than in Farmingdale. The service was nice, hookah was good as I expected, but I do wish they weren’t located in a small strip mall area. If this location could be as big as the one in Farmingdale, then the rating would be higher.

Great place to kick back and relax, I would give 5 stars if they had more space to park but other than that they are great !

I gave this place multiple chances before deciding to write a review. Mystique has, by far, the worst hookah of any spot in the tristate area. I have been to many. The smoke is harsh from the very beginning and the flavors taste horrible. They have a «sharing charge» as well as a rule stating three people to one hookah(which is understandable), but doesn’t that mean three people are sharing? When asked about the charge, they said the third person has to pay the sharing charge. It makes NO sense. Especially for such crappy, unsmokable hookah. When my friends and I have had to go to mystique for whatever reason, we groan in unison. I find it to be, quite frankly, an overpriced waste of space. The only reason I gave them two stars is because they put a sparkler on a birthday cake for us the other day, which I thought was nice.

I had a great time at Mystique. I’ve only ever done hookah in Astoria, the city, and Israel, so I was skeptical to try a Long Island establishment, but I’d go back. Hookahs are between $ 15-$ 20. Their menu is the most eclectic hookah menu I’ve ever seen. They have everything from simple fruity flavors, to things I have never seen before in my 10 years of smoking hookah, like Skittle flavor — what! Anyway, we got the rose and vanilla mix, which I think was called Sahara. We also got the ice thing, which was different. I’d recommend it. The hookah was really good. It ran out after maybe 45 minutes, and they automatically changed the coal, which made it a bit harsher, but that’s the nature of hookah. We also got the green tea, which came in the cutest teapot! I personally loved the atmosphere. They have these gorgeous Middle Eastern paintings, one of which was 3D using peacock feathers. I couldn’t stop looking at it. It’s really laid-back and chill, yet has an intimate vibe. There are couches and chairs, each of which as a coffee table in front of it. I would recommend it for a friend outing or for a date. One gripe — the mirror in the bathroom was so high on the wall that 5 foot tall me couldn’t see myself. Boo.

Things to know: Limited parking, ID checks at the door, auto-gratuity, share charge, bad DJ Pretty good spot for hookah in Nassau county. I went with two friends at 10pm on a Saturday night and it wasn’t until around 11pm or so that it started to get pretty crowded. It’s decorated nicely with silks and paintings, a laser light on the ceiling and a nice fish tank. There are comfortable couches and chairs to sit in if you’re lucky enough to get one– otherwise you’ll be sitting on an ottoman. When the place starting filling up with people it got a little claustrophobic and loud. Their hookah menu is large and varied with many flavors to choose from. They also service alcohol and fresh fruit juices. No food served here. Servers at first were pretty attentive and came around to fix the hookah and replace the coals, but as the night wore on they became busier and unable to stop to help us as frequently, which is understandable. It wasn’t the best hookah I’ve had but it was good enough. When the check came I noticed they charged an 18% auto-gratuity. They also charge an extra $ 5 each to share the hookah. The worst part of the night was when«DJ Ragu» set up and took over the music. He was awful, who wants to hear club music at a hookah lounge? There’s no place to dance, so I just don’t understand why they brought him there. That tooootally killed the chill hookah vibe for me. I would go here again on a night where there’s no DJ.

Pretty good hookah. The Mystique Ice Tip is a novelty hookah accessory meant to cool down the smoke and apparently, these guys are the inventors. Their hookah is pretty good surprisingly. Decent atmosphere as well. But the service was pretty terrible when I went. It took almost half an hour to get our hookahs. They did use a full size pineapple for the bowl I requested. But they didn’t give enough coals to keep the massive bowl lit, and I frequently had to argue with them to give me more.

If you’re not in the mood for trouble finding parking and just want a quick decent hookah night in LI, Mystique is a good option. Having been around for some time, it still manages to attract a good amount of patron on any given night. They offer many flavors from the traditional fruits flavors to popular pan masala, masala chai, skittles to even many mixed concoctions that sound quite appealing. The staff and service is ok, however one thing I noticed after the initial order, the staff didn’t check on our party again or bother to ask how our experience was or if we wanted to order anything else. They do card upon entrance as they’ve gotten their liquor license. Overall an alternative to the commute to Astoria but the experience is nowhere close…
