Regardless of its remote location, kasbah definitely has the best hookah in long island. Might have to wait some extra time for your hookah, but it’s worth the wait. Wish there was food but there’s plenty of options next door. Music and ambiance is always upbeat, definitely a great spot to chill with lots of friends.

Went on a Saturday night. Nice misè en scene. The two servers that came to our table were really polite and nice. The owners NEED to fix the music situation. They play music from a cellphone and change in the middle of songs. At one point someone disconnected their phone announced that they were making a phone call and we all sat I’m silence. Because of this awkward 20min silence we decided to leave so I can’t comment on the hooka but I did see that they had $ 5.00 beer buckets! GETANIPODANDMAKE A PLAYLISTANDTHEN … PLAYIT!!! Not that hard

Woah never coming here again, no wonder they have to charge a 5 dollar fee for no reason it’s because they have to make up for the amount of customers they lose. Hookah was horrible, like how can someone mess up hookah that bad. All flavors taste exactly the same and the dj is horrible. The only good thing is the decoration other than that Nope not the place to be. Also we had to wait so long to get out hookah because the asian girl who was supposed to get it was too busy dancing… just never again.

Great hookah, great ambiance, overall good service. They get booked for parties every once in awhile and might run out of seats but everyone just ends up dancing and having a good time. This will probably be my new go to spot when I don’t feel like going all the way to steinway.

Go somewhere else. They charge $ 5 admission(have no idea why???) Service was horrible Hookah had a funny taste and had a burned taste really quick Music was whatever They don’t have a variety of beverages and they have no food. Let’s just say I’m never going there again.

I don’t know why it has such bad reviews… It’s a chill spot, great music, good shisha… I mean what more can you ask for? Most of the times if you come early enough there is enough seating but don’t expect to be seated right when you get there at 12am when it gets packed up the brim. I would recommend it, one of the legit hookah spots in LI

Its a great place to hang out with friends on a casual night out. The atmosphere is relaxing and chill. Wouldn’t come here for a birthday party or to club. As you walk in you’ll be asked for ID and then you’ll be seated with the menu. They have a variety of flavors ! A ton !!! One best thing is the hookah doesn’t get too strong where you end up coughing. They also have drinks such as soda beer and water. Prices are reasonable. Staff is really friendly and professional. They always make sure you’re doing alright or need something. The only downside to this place is the music. On weekdays there isn’t a DJ obviously but because of that music isn’t always playing and if it is it’s usually by other peoples phones. They have a few TVs.

I wish I could give less than one star because that’s what this place deserves. I’ve been to a lot of hookah bars on the Island and in Queens and this is the worst one I’ve ever been to. Packed with seemingly underage kids drinking like crazy, the owner, who I’ve met before, was not present and the staff left behind was horrible– let’s get into the nitty gritty. 6 people, 3 hookahs. –Service– Sat for 15 minutes before we even got menus, had to flag down the server. Out of 15 flavors, they had 5 available. Chose 3, waited another 20 minutes. It wasn’t busy, just underage kids drinking there. We decided to get one ice hose too, since we usually have it at other places. –Hookah– No flavor, horrible smoke, terrible coals. Our server knew nothing about the set up and gave us the wrong input valve for our ice hookah. Our hookahs were wobbly and we had to catch them several times. One actually fell and the coals burned my hand. Told the manager, he did nothing but bring us(in 15 minutes, mind you) more coals. He informed me that the server gave us the wrong tip. I informed him that a hookah has never fallen on me even with a heavy ice hose before. The hookahs burned our throats and became tasteless. Every time I informed the manager he seemed to okay me to death. Eventually we got fed up and asked for the check, saying we were terribly dissatisfied. My friends wanted a refund, I would have ATLEAST liked an APOLOGY. Negative: brought us the check– charged full price for everything. We were going to argue to get at least one hookah off, but he was so horrible at the service we saw no need. He stared us down while we got the money together. I wonder why? Maybe we didn’t want to pay for horrible service? Regardless, we paid and got out of there. tl;dr: AVOID, AVOID, AVOID.

For the people that are complaining quick question, how’s that extra chromosome treatin ya? This spot is phenomenal its way better then a lot of popular spots on Long Island and even Queens in every aspect a customer could think of! I think that the people that are complaining are probably expecting the staff to just wait at their table every second and ignore all the other tables that are filled almost every night. This spot has great hookah, for a very fair price, and the staff really knows how to experiment and make awesome flavor combinations. The staff members here are extremely hospitable and friendly. If they’re not at your table changing coals, getting you something to drink, or making sure everything is good don’t worry one is them is always walking around and won’t be offended if you call out to them or tap them on the shoulder to ask them a question or tell them what you need. As for music they always have someone who knows music DJing on Fridays and Saturdays. If you complain about this place being a ghost town most likely you went on weekday, which even still they get a decent number of people there, and like with most spots it doesn’t really reflect how great the place is unlike the weekends. Kasbah has become the go to spot for hookah for a lot of people on Long Island, it definitely is for me stop by and it could be the same for you!

Awesome hookah bar! It’s run by a few young guys who keep prices down and the good music up. I haven’t gone too late but around 9 – 10 it’s not too crowded and very fun. Highly recommended!

My go-to for hookah. Always relaxing, always clean(which is SO hard to find in a good hookah lounge), with great flavors. When a fun song comes on, you always find people singing along or dancing. Awesome informed employees who always are there to answer questions. Can’t wait to go back.

Went here last night. OMG it was terrible. When we first walked in there was silence. No music. Nothing. Just ppl sitting in their booths smoking hookah. I asked the hostess is there not music, she said yea but the DJ is messing with his iPod to play more music. IPOD??? REALLY??? Throughout the evening he would go in the so called«DJBOOTH» and stop the music as he searched for other songs so again we sat in silence. The place was dead. Total of 8 customers including us. It took them 20 – 25 minutes to bring our hookah. It’s a hookah lounge. How does it take that long? Hostess said he’s burning the coal. WTF? I can burn 2 cubes of coconut coal on my stove in like 7 minutes!!! Which leads me to believe they must have some BS burner back there. SMDH. Now to the drinks. We knew its a beer and wine place which was fine. We ordered wine. The guy serves us cheap, dry, bitter wine in PLASTICCUPS!!! Wine NEVEREVERRRRR goes in a plastic cup. The booth to our left looked like ppl had been there and left and no one ever cleaned the table up. Furniture was cheap. Tables were beat up. Dont let the photos fool u. Up close it all felt and looked cheap. Oh the bathroom!!! Your better off going to a local gas station cuz theirs was gross! So the point of going there was to unwind and enjoy some hookah. We got watermelon. It wasn’t great. When I took a pull through the hose, particles from the interior of the hose went in my mouth. Uuuuuugh!!! That means one thing… they don’t run hot water or anything throughout the hose to clean them. Last but not least they charged us $ 5 each for a cover charge to get in and didn’t even tell us. We just saw it on the bill. A cover charge? Really??? That place is a dump! Take the extra drive and go to Astoria if you want a great Hookah lounge experience. Worth every minute of your time. Melody’s is great. Aura Lounge too. Kasbah u guys should be ashamed of yourselves. U dont even deserve one star but Unilocal makes me select one in order to post. Def our worst hookah experience ever! And we do hookah very often.

Kasbah really sucks — the few nights my friends dragged me here, it was just a major waste of my precious time! I barely remember the taste of the hookahs served maybe because it wasn’t that great! & there’s no real DJ — TV continues to blare out loud while a medley of bad music is on blast! nothing about the«loungey» environment is quite consistent. Only good thing — they serve cold Heinekens!

Few friends and I decided to get some hookah, now in my neighborhood, there’s only two places that are nearby me… I should’ve went to the other one. As I went in, first thing I saw was a table flipped over and a couple of young kids trying to look cool by smoking hookah. The hostess came up to me and said there’s a cover fee of five dollars. Why? For you guys to clean up the flipped table? I just left… this was on a Saturday as well, doesn’t the place want service?

The most important thing you need to know about this hookah bar is that it NOLONGER serves food! Don’t make the same mistake we did, and stumble in there starving, expecting to get a snack with your hookah. I promise, this will not work out as you hope. Also, smoking on an empty stomach? Not recommended. If you’re nice, the kind employees here might be okay with you bringing your to-go grub from elsewhere, and I even saw some BYOB action taking place. The next most important thing you need to know is that there is a $ 5 per head charge, EVEN for people who did not smoke or participate with the hookah(in addition to the hookah price). I know, lame. On the upside? There’s a DJ who tries very hard to mix all types of music(we even heard one drum n bass track)! We saw a bellydancer. There’s beer. And really nice booths. And lots and lots of shisha flavors. We «made our own» blend– peach with vanilla. A pretty good time, for the LI burbs.
