We went there for a ls event and had been forewarned that the hotel was pretty rundown. And it was.

After my GPS took me to a wrong address, I had to use Google maps to find the hotel. When I pulled in, I had an «oh s***» moment, because the place behind it looks abandoned. The hotel itself looks fine though. The lady at the front desk was nice and helpful. Once she knew that I’m not familiar with the area, she gave me some recommendations – don’t go to Friday’s, apparently their service is terrible. The room was better than expected. It was clean and spacious – I slept in my boxers, which I rarely do in cheap hotels, TMI? There was some noisy kids screaming and running at 11PM, too bad they can’t deny accommodation to bad parents. The bathroom is nice. The jacuzzi looked clean and tempting, but I have a rule against public jacuzzis/hot tubs. The worst thing about the room was the shower. It was so disgusting that felt dirtier after taking a shower. Overall it was a good experience for such a cheap hotel($ 114).

Everything about this place was great… The ONLY reason I rate three stars is because the ac unit in my room just didn’t get cold enough for my husband and I. We tried leaving the fan on and placing timers on our phones but all that is too much when all you want is rest in your travels. The ac just cut off at an unknown temp and would not come back on until it warmed up a bit. Staff was good, good food, very clean. The surprise hot tub in the room is super big and clean… Nice controllable lighting and heating lamp option. Great«date night» spot to surprise a loved one with. Place a bunch of candles around the tub:)… Flowers in the water… You know!!! *wink-adult fun*

I’ve never had a more terrible experience at a hotel before. I had to stay here at two different occasions for work. The first occasion, I was actually pretty impressed with the jacuzzi and my room. I took full advantage of the jacuzzi and workout room, and I appreciated how there was no smoking allowed(except for outside). I noticed that a few days after the first night, I kept scratching a few bumps on my legs. I looked it up, and found out that I had gotten bed bugs. The bumps stayed on my legs for a few weeks, and itched like crazy. By the time they had almost disappeared, it was time for my second experience at the hotel. I arrived around 11pm, and immediately crawled into bed. I suddenly heard something moving in the corner, and as I looked up, I SAW A GIANTRATCRAWLBEHINDTHETV. I was absolutely terrified and disgusted, and immediately asked to change rooms. When I mentioned the rat, the woman behind the counter replied with«Oh.» and without another word, gave me a card to a different room. No apology whatsoever. The next morning as I was leaving, I told the gentleman behind the counter about the awful experiences. He didn’t believe me that I got bed bugs here– he was very adamant about how they are clean– and then I mentioned the rats. He then replied that with the cold weather, there are more and more rats that are coming into the hotel from the front door or elsewhere. He talked about it like it was a normal, fine occurrence at the hotel– he didn’t apologize at all or mention that anybody was taking care of the situation. I refuse to stay here ever again(The Hampton Inn across the street provided a much better, cleaner experience for the third time I had to stay in Burlington) and am warning anybody thinking about staying here about my experience.

it seems that this motel recently had some upgrades. For one, the furniture(including the mattress) and TV seemed to be new. On the downside, the hall smelled GROSS– maybe it was musty? Maybe they had flooding at some point? Tough to tell, but it was not pleasant. The staff were quite nice. But many areas for upgrades remain(towels are the type you got in roadside motels in 1950’s, wallpaper is old). But not a bad place and couldn’t be closer to exit 5 off NJ Turnpike.
