On thanksgiving, we went to the villa, with a 3:30pm reservation, at around 4:15 we were seated. Now it’s 4:39, we had soup, chicken escarole, a single plate of pasta, two plates of salad. The service is terrible, another patron was just being served when we were seated, after being seated at 2:30. Currently my table is ready to walk out. There were 3 servers that began our service, including the head chef who was busing tables and waiting tables. As of 4:45 pm there appears to be just two server now a young woman, and a young man. There is obviously a management problem. The food is family style, and decent. Our server actually quit in the middle of service. I am not thrilled that a forced gratuity is included in our bill. At 5 pm the head chef seems to be running the front of the house coordinating with front of staff waiting the whopping 5 tables. After a single plate of pasta, 1 bread basket, 2 salads, we are ready to walk out and pay half the bill. Another table has been here an hour with no service. The main course has arrived, pork and Turkey. The pork is dry, the potatoes are instant variety, stuffing is worse than stovetop stuffing. The Turkey is decent. The squash was good the squash with Apple’s was the best. Though we never got gravy with the main entrée something lost in the black hole of service. There are no napkins you have to go to the bar, something many patrons are doing. Our servers have dwindled to two people the head chef and the young woman. Now we are waiting for either the check or dessert, it appears the servers have disappeared. We even been ignored by passing servers. No one is bussing tables. We been waiting 20 minutes just to let someone know we were waiting for dessert. We had the bread pudding, 30 minutes after tracking down a young man to let them know we’re waiting for the next course, we got our dessert and coffee and are now waiting for the bill. Now we are leaving never to return to the villa, after the nightmare service we had this thanksgiving. Walking out someone was yelling at the owner, something I think needed to happen much sooner.

The Villa is Amazing!!! The establishment itself is gorgeous. The waitstaff and bartenders are extremely friendly and professional. The service is First Class. The food is out of this world! The best food in Rhode Island and priced affordable. They offer a wide variety of Steak, Prime Rib, Seafood, Chicken and Pasta dishes. The Chef’s daily specials are very creative and trendy. Offering’s may include Seafood Stuffed Mushrooms, NY Strip with Demi Glacé, Baked Stuffed Shrimp, Baked Scallops with Lobster Sherry Cream Sauce or Rhode Island Favorite Clam Cakes with Chowder and Fish and Chips. It’s a perfect place for a Wedding Party or any Special Function with Amazing Food and Fabulous Service. I Highly Recommend The Villa in West Warwick to Everyone.

I went here with 2 of my friends for the first time a few days ago. It was awesome! I got the linguine in clam sauce. I was amazed! So delicious! I grew up in an Italian family and this was made alot and it was good. but it was never as good as this! We also had the stuffed mushrooms, phenomenal! Highly recommended. We will be coming back. Chef is amazing! Wait staff great too!

7 friends and I went here for another friends birthday. I’m sure it’s a birthday our friend nor the rest of us will ever forget. First, it was a Friday night so they had a rock band there, which started at 8:30. There is only one dining area so there’s no escaping it. Needless to say no dinner conversation could be had. Then, we had a awful waiter with no personality. The service was just terrible. We were hoping the food was going to be better, but that was another disappointment. I had the scallops that tasted like sea water. Another friend had soup that tasted like it was right out of a can. Another had lasagna and that was cold. We probably should have complained to the manager but we didn’t want to ruin our friends birthday dinner any more than it already was. You have been warned. Stay away!!!

Worst service I’ve ever had. The female bar tender was extremely rude and we waited an hour for dinner. When we asked her to check her answer was«I’ll check but do you see how many people are in here?» I don’t recommend this place at all.

I have to say first… the food is delicious. Probably one the most authentic tomato sauce I have ever had. The only problem is the wait. Visited twice and both times had to wait nearly 50 minutes for our food. The bartender Toni is very nice and does keep checking back but the meal that were ordered should take no more than 20 minutes regardless of how fresh they are(and they are). Maybe more help is needed in the kitchen, or the management should step in there to help? Truly, the food is amazing. and yes it may be worth the wait but not that long of a wait… We will go back for the food. if only we could call ahead about an hour before so it would be ready when we got there…

Saw their sign indicating they where«voted best Italian restaurant» So we had to try it out last Saturday night around 7:30 They had a wedding function in their banquet room as well as a class reunion in the lounge but the restaurant was empty for the most part. There was 4 more tables that came in after we started our dinner. Coconut shrimp was the best part off the meal. The calamari was just okay and I ordered the king cut prime rib and the linguine with red clam sauce. My wife ordered the seafood pasta The sauce on the seafood pasta and my clam sauce is the same with the extra seafood added, sauce has heat to it on both versions I just can’t believe they would use that crappy canned baby clams in both dishes. They did use 6 little necks with the crappy canned clams in my linguine. Please look into using fresh chopped clams instead of that canned crap! They sell it frozen from your distributors(Sysco, Ipswich shellfish, blounts) And you can portion put and keep frozen until you need to use it so there’s no waste. Get away from that canned baby clams, really we’re in the ocean state for Christ sakes. And now for my prime rib, I have to say prime rib is always my weakness When every I see prime rib I’ll have to order it so it safe to say I’m a huge fan. Unfortunately their preparation was not even close to be honorably mention. It was a bone in 16oz king cut and it was a finished off in the au jous to the medium I wanted. But this method gives the prime rib that grayish color instead of the reddish pink I’m expecting and the piece of meat was tough. The waiter was attentive and friendly. Do they have the best Italian dishes? I’ll have to give them another try to redeem themselves. But they’ll have to use fresh chopped clams!

I have to say this is one restaurant that I would travel out of my way for and I do. I live in Portsmouth and find it difficult to find a decent home-style Italian dinner here. I’ve frequented all the more well-known Italian restaurants in and out of Providence and lately have been very disappointed. It seems most restaurants now are all about cooking it fast and cheap. The Villa has hand selected a wonderful chef. One that knows a great marinara has to be good quality, fresh and simple. Wonderful! My dad is more of a «foodie» than I and has declared that this is the best«gravy» around. Everyone at my table raved about their meals. Of course, I had to sample each entre. The fish and chips were outstanding. A huge, very fresh, flaky piece of cod that would satisfy anyone! My aunt had the fish, lobster ravioli and shrimp special. Delicious. My daughter always has the veal parm and won’t waver from it. I had the veal and eggplant parm combo. Oh, Boy! So good! Very crisp outside and made with a good quality oil to sauté. Not an overused fryolater batch of oil. That leaves the flavor of what’s being cooked in tact. One of these days I’m going in for the prime rib. My mom has difficulty getting around and it occurred to me that this is the perfect place to take her. The wonderful ramp to the door made maneuvering her in a wheelchair a breeze. She was very comfortable and our waiter Matt was so wonderful. Right on the mark. Polite and respectful. I was proud to take my entire family to the Villa. To the proprietors: Please keep doing what you’re doing. Don’t fall into the trap of expanding the menu and diluting the quality of your offerings. The menu and specials are perfect. If someone wants a hamburger, fried chicken or Pad Thai, direct them to another establishment. Stay true to the menu!!! All the best of luck, Nancy —(food expert, extraordinaire)

I have been to The Villa a few times in the past 18 months and have never been disappointed with the food. The prices are reasonable and the environment is bright, clean, and uncluttered. Most recently, a friend and I dined there on 2÷26÷14. We started by splitting a generous serving of Caesar salad.. . IMHO, The Villa has THE best Caesar salad — fresh and delicious with their homemade dressing. My friend ordered the Penne Pasta Antonio w/grilled shrimp while I had the baked scallops w/Ritz cracker topping in a lemon butter sauce. We both truly enjoyed our well-prepared meals. We complimented their talented chef, Anthony. Our attentive waiter, Matthew, was very knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend The Villa; I look forward to my next visit!

On a slow Wednesday night we were shopping in the area and decided to use a «restaurant.com» coupon that we had for a while. We were NOT disappointed! The interior was clean and plain but bright. We sat at the bar, the bartender was quite knowledgable and friendly. there were drink specials and early bird specials which we were too late for. Penne chicken with voldka AMAZING! Thin crispy veal parm in red sauce, delicious!!! We plan on going back! Prices very reasonable!

Not bad for neighborhood Italian. I wouldn’t drive out of my way for a meal here, but if you’re in the area it is worth it. Located just off Route 2 there was no wait for a table at 7 on Saturday night. All four meals were good. Service was good, a little slow but not so much as to be annoying. The lounge entertainment was setting up as we were leaving. The lounge and dining room are directly connected, so if you’re looking for quiet then come before the show starts.

Having visited this venue when it was the well-known Evelyn’s Villa, expectations were positive for the recently opened restaurant now called The Villa. Unfortunately, the two experiences were both negative in terms of food as well as bands. On one occasion, an appetizer special of artichokes lightly sprinkled with Ritz cracker crumbs had little taste, perhaps needing olive oil and light Italian spices. The pasta fagioli soup that my dinner partner had was in a light broth and once again had minimal flavor. During this time, the band Triad was playing extremely loudly. The second dining adventure began with a tasty, good-sized house salad accompanied once again by a basket of small pieces of bread. Both main courses were unremarkable, veal parmesan and eggplant parmesan; the latter seemed to have a strange taste, perhaps due to the fry process used. The red sauce was a saving grace to each of the dishes. And although we tried to enjoy the band, Metropolis, scheduled to begin at 8:30 on the restaurant’s website, we instead were subjected to a multitude of background music, tuning up of the band, and loud, piercing noises from the sound system. The band had not yet begun at 9:15 when we left. Hopefully, food and entertainment will improve.
