The food was good… Be prepared for a time warp back to the 80’s… That is what you will get… Not that it is bad thing. Service was good.

Duck, pot roast, chicken pot pie all excellent. Mashed potatoes and squash great and hot. Only issues was OVERSALTED/SPICED blackened shrimp served on greens. Waitress was very prompt about solving the problem. I had a local draft from Worcester. Not sure of brewery but it was good also. Nice to see them going local. Excellent waitress and nice to see manager walking the floor.

I went after a long day at the Equine Affaire to sit and relax. And I certainly did! The only thing that I have to say is that the hostess seated us at a table and said that we had to be done eating my 6, it was 4:45, there weren’t any other tables we could go to? Our waiter was great! Tony was very polite and he was always willing to help us if we needed everything. The food was delicious as well. I will definitely be back:)

This is in regards to this venue for a wedding. I will NOT be using Storrowton as our venue. I had set up an appointment with Don Calvanese to view the venue and speak about pricing. He never showed! I tried emailing and calling. The entire place was locked up and there was no communication to me about rescheduling. It’s been two days now and nothing from Don.

Let’s be quite clear from the onset, this is an Historic Tavern with a typical New England Tavern type menu, if you are seeking Fusian or something avant garde, you are looking in the wrong place. The culinary classification for Storrowton is typical New England Comfort Food, ie; Turkey dinner with all the trimmings, chicken pot pie, Pot Roast, Prime Rib, Scrod, Roast Duck L’Orange, Coquilles St Jacques, there are a few Italian entrees as well but the core menu sticks to its roots. My experience dining here has always been very favorable and I have been please with all my selections thus far. The real charm of this restaurant are the separate dining rooms throughout the tavern with their natural weathered wood paneled walls each room having it’s own fire place adding to the overall cozy tavern dining experience. I have found the service good even when very busy. My preference is to sit either at the bar or at one of the café tables in the bar area with a good view of the fireplace, this is a nice place to soak in the atmosphere and people watch over your favorite New England Tavern favorite. And in typical New England fashion, don’t forget the relish tray to launch your nostalgic evening at The Tavern.
