I still remember the first time I ever ate here and it was in Middle School, my Teacher decided to take the whole class out for Lunch. What I remember from that day is Drowning my Chicken Fingers and French Fries in so much Ketchup and getting an Ice Cream Sundae(which I only had a couple Spoonfuls) and I stuck my Face in the Whipped Cream. Other times I’ve been here was with my Grandma, one of the things I remember getting was a Chicken Alfredo Sandwich(Probably one the Heaviest sandwiches I’ve ever eaten in my Life). Grilled Chicken chopped up on Focaccia Bread with Spinach and a lot of Alfredo sauce(delicious but messy). My most recent visit was 2 months ago after I attended the Wake of my Grandpa John(82 years old) we stopped in for supper and I ordered Grilled Pork Chops over Risotto(big mistake). Those Pork Chops came out so Beautifully but the Risotto was more like bad Sticky Rice, the flavor was One-Dimensional(All I could taste was Parmesan). Risotto is supposed to flow on a plate like lava does from a Volcano and the rice was stiff. One thing I enjoy seeing every time I come here is seeing the Desserts in the rotating Display. This is one of those places you come to for a Homey kind of meal.

Went here for breakfast. Will probably not return. Mediocre breakfast, poor service, not worth my money spent.

Appetizers were very good. The server was OK, seemed newish. The meals plentiful with good flavor. I would like to try breakfast next time.

The star is for the food, which is standard fare for a diner. The absence of the other stars is for 2 reasons: 3 waitresses are congregated in the middle of the restaurant complaining about customers from the day before, which is just uncomfortable; and worse, every time I’ve come here in the morning, they wipe a dirty mop of black water around the floor without regard to the patrons trying to enjoy breakfast. I literally was asked to lift up my feet to get the mop under my table! The smell was off the charts gross. Last visit.

I have been frequenting this restaurant for over 14 years now. But I must say there’s a reason for that. The food is good, waitresses are friendly and it’s a nice atmosphere. Its not fine dining but if youre looking for good old American Greek diner food, then this is the place. If you don’t know what to order, order the chicken souvlaki… you won’t regret it. Also, the pancakes are the best, light fluffy with a hint of sweetness. My husband and I started coming here when we were first dating and now we come here with our kids. And we will keep coming here.

Nice little diner to grab a late night meal. Good: –Greek Salad –Breakfast Sandwich –Clam Chowder Soup –French Onion Soup –Chicken Slouvaki Bad: –the 4 seat tables were not level, made eating with others annoying

If you take it for what it is, you’ll be happy. They have all the things you’d expect at a diner, plus some interesting additions. Appetizers are cheap late, so if you’ve been out and then you need a snack or some breakfast, they’ll keep you full. Desserts look sketch, but the coffee flows, the waitresses are on top of things(you won’t need to ask for more napkins or refills, etc) and the prices are decent.

Meh. It wasn’t awful but wasn’t great. I had French onion soup that was very simple. The broth tasted like plain broth. No complex notes of wine or Worcestershire sauce or even onion for that matter. Meh. Side salad was tasty. No real complaints but no overwhelming praise either. I tasted the turkey and bacon club and it was good. Probably the second best item at our table. Beef on weck was gross. Tough, old tasting beef, dunked in au jus and seemingly warmed on a griddle probably to mask the fact that it was old. The roll was weird too. Tons on seeds an table salt dumped on top just wiped off when touched. The fries were those crispy battered fries, meh. Chicken fingers were standard, nothing special. My mom ordered strawberry shortcake and though I thought the berries could have been a little sweeter, the salty biscuit and whipped cream were terrific compliments to the sweet-ish berries. Yum! I would have liked to see more Greek items if this is a Greek diner. If it’s just a diner I think some menu items could be majorly improved upon. But the staff was pleasant. And the physical space was clean and looked newly renovated.

I’ve had breakfast here multiple times and had positive experiences each time. Good pancakes, decent homefries. Eggs benedict, corn beef hash; all good. Your typical Greek greasy spoon. Prompt service as well.

Well… It’s one of those places that’s just OK. Not good, not bad. OK. My family took my Mom there for her 92nd birthday lunch because it’s close to the facility she lives in. They have an extensive diner-type menu. Some of our party chose breakfast foods while others had sandwiches. Our young server told us she was new but actually did a very good job. We were served quickly and efficiently and refills were offered as needed. The problem was the food. The portions were average-sized. The breakfast foods were the usual eggs, bacon or sausage, greasy looking home fries and pancakes. It all looked very typical and my sister said it tasted that way. She said her home made ones were better. The sandwiches were the same. Greasy burgers and BLT’s with bad fries. Very pedestrian. The prices were fine. If this feels like a lackluster review it is because our meal felt that way! No pizazz; just OK.

We went here last night… I had already eaten so I just got a mini-pie…They have one of those dessert carousels when you walk in with all different kind of pies and cakes… I chose the Heath Bar Pie… It came with chocolate and caramel drizzled all over it along with whip cream in a creative way(sorry I should have taken a pic, lol)…I would say I give this pie a 4 out of 5… It was a decent size for one person… Not too big, and not short either… It was fairly tasty… My gf just got a crock of French Onion soup… She said the cheese was perfectly browned which gave it a nutty flavor… They used rye croutons which she said was a nice surprise… And lastly, the broth had a little bit of a pepper taste to it to go along with sweetness from the onions for a really nice contrast… She gave this soup a 5 out of 5… And she is a French Onion soup connoisseur … I have been here for their breakfast before, and from what I remember of that is that it was rather average but cheap in price…

It wasn’t the most terrible breakfast that I’ve had in my whole life… I ate it after-all. But, it wasn’t really good either. This diner is pretty upscale, but honestly not all that clean… if you notice that kind of thing(I do). Hint… don’t look at the underside of the light fixtures at the booths or you just might lose your appetite. Luckily I didn’t glance up until my plate was cleared and I was lingering over my coffee. Dear Cleaning Staff: Buy a sponge and use it. The menu has all of the usual Greek diner items. There’s even the requisite rotating carousel of desserts by the front door. And, a «specials sheet» was given to one of us(why not both?) I opted for the homemade cranberry walnut bread French toast(one of the«specials») and coffee, and my dining companion had pancakes. The coffee was a tad weak… but it was replenished frequently. My French toast was luke-warm and very, very chewy. My friend’s pancakes were a few degrees above COLD. Seriously… I watched and the butter(served in packets) didn’t even melt. It practically tore the pancakes upon spreading. When we mentioned the lack of appropriate warmth of our food to the waitress she smiled, shrugged, and said«sorry about that» and went on to tell us that sometimes the kitchen isn’t all that great about timing things. HUH? Isn’t this a restaurant? Aren’t they SUPPOSED to be good at that sort of thing? And then, to add insult to injury… she didn’t even offer to bring our plates back to the kitchen where they could have easily been reheated in a microwave.

Haven’t been here in a few years and it looks like they changed a bit. The first thing you see when you walk in is a mouth watering array of sweet goodness in the form of detectible pies and sweets, but wait, I’m here for more of a meal. OK, I looked the other way and made my way to the booth. The menu has expanded since my last visit, quite a bit in fact, its big but not one of those overwhelming book type menus. They also have a wine and beer menu, that’s new, well at least for me. I settled on a turkey club which came with chips and coleslaw. The coleslaw was crisp and tasted fresh with kind of both a vinegar and mayo base dressing, delicious, the chips were definitely NOT poured out of a Lays bag, these were home made with a peppery seasoning on them, perfect! My biggest surprise and I do mean biggest was the turkey club. 4″ tall, loaded with turkey, nice thick cut bacon, thick tomato slices and perfectly toasted bread. I uploaded a pic of my leftovers which I will be enjoying for lunch tomorrow. Oh yea, almost forgot, great service too!

I’m disappointed that I could not see a garden from my table. At least I didn’t see any guys getting«excited.» Otherwise it would have been«Hardenview.» Part of a chain of «Somethingview» diners that are all open all night, these places are overpriced, with limited selections, and their menus are notably and distinctly lacking what most local Buffalo diners have got down to a tee: Greek food. Where is the souvlaki? You’d think you were at a New Jersey diner… there’s no Greek and the service is questionable. The portions aren’t huge and it’s definitely got the«late night pricing», meaning they make you pay for the fact that nothing else decent is open. Personal Experience: I’ve been to Gardenview twice(Hillview about 4 times, and the other one just once). It was nearly identical to the Hillview, and the only saving grace(and the reason it holds steady at 3 stars) is that it’s open 24 hours. Or it was, back when I went here a couple of times. It may have changed. The server was tired, but nice. The food was bland… open face roast beef, and some sort of Black Angus lamb shank or something? And a milkshake. Total cost? Closer to $ 30 than $ 20. Was not expecting that for such bland diner food. Gardenview? Pardon You.

I used to work here when I was in high school and to be honest — wasn’t the biggest fan of the food. It attracted an older crowd — busiest for Sunday breakfast. But, recently I revisited and was impressed that they completely renovated and updated their menu to include beer and wine($ 10 bottles too!). The Greek food, salads, and breakfasts are a safe bet when ordering. As far as the rest of the menu — its hit or miss. West Seneca doesn’t have a ton of restaurants so this place is thriving on that. Their desserts are also awesome and helpful that they are open 24⁄7. I stumbled in many nights…

I grew up on this place. Located on Union Road it is in the best location. Run in line with all other«Greek» restaurants in the area — breakfast is served all day & dinner special have been the same since I was 5.(Saturday is spaghetti night). Plates tend to be huge. Walk in and be greeted by the hostess — who looks like all the other waitresses in black pants, white shirt and a tie! Each has her own tie so not all are the same. The pie case will great you and want you to just try every slice and skip dinner! Booth seating is to one side and a dining room on the other — take the booth area it just add to the diner feel of the place. Best part — if you are just 1 sit at the counter great view of the kitchen and sit with the regulars who can tell you all about the place since it opened! Gyro meat is served in every meal — with eggs, on salad full dinner plate. Along with the gyros you can eat from subs to pancakes to onion rings and corned beef and cabbage. It’s the place for everyone. They serve turkey dinner for the full week before thanksgiving and have sweet potatoes year round! Soups change daily and are homemade. Please save room for the rice pudding. It is delicious! The restaurant is open 24⁄7 and not much keeps it closed — minus a few major holidays. If you’ve had too much fun at the bar have your DD take you here and use the grease & coffee to fill you up and save you from a killer hang over. Gus is the owner — say hi and tell him you love the food. He will be the tall skinny man either cooking or seating guests or eating dinner in the back booth by the windows.(he is very hands on and owns 3 other restaurants in the area!)
