Visited the VFW for the first time during a River City High School event. We rented the hall and we went there on Thursday to decorate for our event on Friday back in April. As soon as I walked in the door I knew I walked into a gem. Being a vet I had never stepped into a VFW before. The people there are one of a kind. It is a cheerslike atmosphere. New changes have made the post more welcoming and the drink prices are second to none. If you want to hang out downtown and spend 2 – 3 times as much on a couple of drinks and have crappy parking go right ahead. I’m going to hang at the new hot spot. If you want to join me in West Sacramento you are more than welcome :)
