I thought this dentist was OK up until they FIRED me! And no, I am not an employee, I was a patient. When I first started visiting Dr. Ngo things were going well but like any other dentist they heavily tried to promote the Rotadent Toothbrush and other devices/accessories. That didn’t bother me as much as the fact that I believe this dentistry dropped and transferred not-so-profitable patients(I was told about this but didn’t think would be the case with me) which I think is illegal. Dr. Ngo is also the only dentist that has told me that I needed to remove my wisdom teeth. I questioned it because I am not going to remove something when it’s fully grown and is not bothering me a little bit. Because of my insurance coverage, I had some dental work done in a different country. A couple of months later, I received a letter from Dentistry Today(DT) informing me that I have been transfered to a different facility. When I called DT, I was told that my insurance has made the switch. Called the insurance and was told that DT transfered me on Dec. 9th. DT(after numerous phone calls trying to reach someone who would be able to answer my question as to why I had been transfered) finally informed me that they are dropping the insurance and hence transfering patients. I was not quick enough to say that«Hey, you were already aware of me changing my insurance» and simply hung up. It’s worth mentioning is that Dr. Ngo was fully aware that my insurance was going to change to a different plan right before they«fired» me since she used to tell me herself«Wait until your insurance changes because you get a better coverage and won’t have to pay as much for procedures». At the beginning I was told that I would have to pay to pick up my records, but when Dr. Ngo finally realized why I kept calling, I was told that the records would be free of charge. Sounds kind of guilty to me. Just be careful.

I’ve seen Dr. Ngo for three years now. She and her staff really do care that my teeth and gums are healthy. They are downright straightforward in the issues they see in my teeth and gums and provide me with ways to improve my dental health. They have great service and I feel welcomed there every time I go in. Be aware that when you receive your next appointment, it is probably just a proposed date and time. It’s been my experience that her staff usually gives you a call a couple of days before to reschedule for another date when the doctor is actually in the office. But if you’re flexible, then everything will be a-okay.
