great food, huge portions, friendly staff. delivery service is as normal as any. people have to understand some days are busier than others and sometimes can be short staffed just like any place. for instance, the bad review below was on a day where the owners daughter had surgery from a car accident. therefore, deliveries weren’t as speedy as they would have liked. needless to say, just because of one bad day, it shouldn’t determine your whole outlook over all. over all, sal’s is a great place to go for breakfast or lunch. fries are tasty and crispy. lots of meat on the sandwiches unlike your neighborhood subway where they barely put any meat on them. great place!

We ordered from our office and asked to have our food delivered. Typically, Sal’s drivers are pretty speedy in deliveries, but that was not the case this time.
After waiting over an hour and a half from the time we ordered, I called to see what may have happened. The girl on the phone was nice, but you could hear her exhaustion over the phone. She explained that they had a delivery driver call out and they were backed up on deliveries but ours should be delivered soon.
Roughly about another half an hour later, our food arrived. I was very upset to find food that looked like it was cooked at the time we ordered. By the time we got it, the burger was cold, the fries were cold, and the dill pickle was warm. My thoughts are that if your restaurant is backed up, don’t cook someone’s food and let it sit around for an hour and a half. Cook it so it’s hot when it’s delivered. My office is less than ½ mile from the deli. If I had known they were backed up that badly, I would have driven to Sal’s to pick up our order.
Needless to say, there are quite a few more deli’s and pizza places in the area and we will not be ordering from Sal’s again.
