Went here recently to try out their crispy duck pad Thai. It was definitely crispy as the name suggested. The pad Thai was well seasoned thus it turned out to be an enjoyable meal. The staff was nice and friendly. Will definitely return here again when my pad Thai cravings come back.

I think this restaurant is overrated, but still good. The service is excellent, but the food is very common. The pad Thai has little flavor and felt like I was always adding something to every dish to make it hotter. The sushi is above average and always enjoy it. Overall, not bad

This is the best Thai food I have ever had in the states. The Thom Ka soup and pad thai are absolutely delicious. Hole in the wall location, but that is the ultimate charm. Definitely coming back soon!

I love Thai food. But unfortunately I only LIKED the food at Malakor. So let me start with the positives. The staff was very welcoming and attentive. They were very willing and open to make substitutions and tweak dishes to accommodate my dietary needs. However, I was left slightly disappointed. I think a big part of the reason is because I was highly recommended by a friend who swore that this was the best Thai restaurant in Palm Beach county. I beg to differ. I ordered the crispy money bags as an appetizer. It arrived cleverly presented as edible rice paper wrapped packages filled with curried vegetables. Well, the sweet potatoes were undercooked and overwhelmed the rest of the corn and peas in the package. These three veggies seem to be a strange mix if you ask me. But what do I know? My entrée consisted of the Pad Cha with tofu. There was a nice array of colored peppers and onions sautéed in a red chili sauce. It was not spicy as described. It was tasty but I grew tired of the flavor after a few bites. I am happy that I finally experienced all the rage that is Malakor but I don’t think I will be back. I would not dissuade anyone from experiencing the cuisine however there are other Thai restaurants in the area I would recommend more.

AMAZING! Great menu, Thai and sushi options. The Lychee martini was so yummy and the Red Curry was delicious. You can really tell these people care about their customers and their restaurant. We sat outside by the waterfall– Very intimate and beautiful décor. Very date worthy :)

I’ve been to Malakor a dozen times and never order anything but the curry. The Crispy duck red curry is my absolute favorite dish in south Florida. The consistency is flavor and food quality is great. My girlfriend and I drive an hour to get here from Fort Lauderdale. Great staff and atmosphere in this restaurant. Worth the $ 25 for curry.

THISPLACEWASGREAT! We were there on a Wednesday night around 8:30. No waiting. Very friendly and attentive staff. We had an appetizer of Spicy Octopus — YUM -, pork pad Thai and chicken Thai basil with brown rice. This was the best brown rice I have ever eaten. The waitress said it was a special blend of two different rices. We enjoyed every bite of our dinner. Definitely will be going back!

Tucked away spot but very tasty food. Great Dish called Pad see eew seafood combo, very large portions. Try the the Thai Tea, mixed with coconut milk. The pad kiemao(drunken noodles) was filled with fresh vegetables and good tasting noodles.

This is not Thai Food. This is Thai dishes made Chinese style by Chinese people. But then if you’re have a bland whitey palate this may be sooo gooood. But if you want anywhere close to authentic taste, go somewhere else. Service is and the ambiance is good. Prices are too high.

Very nice little place that does both Thai and Sushi. Stopped in for lunch and was promptly seated. Service was quick and polite. Food came out very quickly. Everything was delicious and fresh. Lots of protein and veggies in the dish. Will definitely come back soon. Probably try dinner next time.

FIRSTTHINGSFIRST: HALFPRICESUSHIHAPPYHOUR5−7PM Monday through Thursday. This is only until the end of October. If for no other reason, go for the sushi. I feel like a traitor to my favorite Thai hangout, but Malakor is a treat. It’s not just the food. There’s a lady there, who was our server — I have to wonder if she is the owner. You are greeted with welcoming smiles, from the guys cleaning the patio and watering the plants outside to this nice lady who gave us our choice of which booth we’d like. She asked us right away about our drinks, and brought them out quickly. Our orders were ready. My dinner pal ordered three of the biggest, most amply proportioned sushi rolls I have ever seen. All half price! I ordered Thai Summer rolls which are the coolest substitute for a boring old salad! These were served with a very special kind of peanut sauce. This was not run-of-the-mill peanut sauce. It just had a different Kick to it. I could not eat this whole appetizer myself so I had to share those and there were still two pieces left. I ordered my usual Panang chicken for dinner with brown rice. The portions at Malakor are better than ample. I’m sorry I didn’t have room for dessert. The sushi rolls we ordered were the Zumba Roll, Spicy Tuna and a Lobster Roll(Yes! Even that was half price!) That Lobster Roll — my apologies for not taking a photo. It was so beautifully presented. It had a fried lobster tail that is not only rolled into the sushi roll, but they present 3 or 4 large pieces of the fried tail, atop the actual shell, on a bed of shredded carrots and plated with a special mayo/sauce. On the same platter, they present the roll with a Martini glass, fresh flower garnish, full of shredded crab meat & carrots in some kind of light sauce. This was incredibly artful to behold. It is the best sushi roll I have ever tasted in my life. So fresh, packed with perfectly cooked pieces of lobster tail. Almost too pretty to eat. The other rolls were prepared with the same attention and more or less affection. This chef must really love what he does. It borders on art. Seriously. The Panang was spiced perfectly, and the broth was lighter than other Panangs I have enjoyed. The carrots are crinkly cut, and not just little bits and pieces. The blend of green and red bell pepper, snow peas and the carrots were just gorgeous, made more authentic by rough cut stalks of lemongrass. The chicken was so fresh and the portion was such that I had to box what I could not possibly finish. That nice server, she boxed it up and informed me that she gave me more brown rice. I have never had anyone do that without asking — and usually feeling a little embarrassed to do so. This place is very clean, the service excellent and the garden outside would be ideal for cocktails on cooler evenings or less humid days. The tables, I inquired about, were hand painted by the Owner. This really is a great place for a date. I don’t think there’s wine but they serve beer. Better call and ask if its BYOB. They have a lot of soft drinks but also juices, bottled waters and teas. Free parking and lots of it. It’s in Northwood, but it really is very pleasant. I will make a point to visit Malakor very often.

We were working at the tradeshow since food choice here was terrible we decided to place a Togo order which was done thru«dudes» delivery which btw, the driver was great! I wish I had take photos of the food because the pad kee mao’s noodle looked absolutely discussing, it looked like a big piece of gooey doughy had been dropped on the plate after it was already prepared, the egg roll was soggy and greasy, we took a bite, but could not eat the rest. My chicken Thai basil was ok thou. Maybe it is the to go food that sucks because with almost 5 stars on Unilocal one would thing that it’s safe to order from there… Oh btw, they didn’t send any plasticware with the food, so if you are placing order to go don’t forget to give them a quick reminder. The driver from the«dude» delivery service was kind enough to offer me to get those from another restaurant.

Thus is one of those places where no combination of words can truly insinuate the fine experience. There is a reason the reviews are so good and just by taking a look at the photos you can see the quality. Some foods are good… Then others have a beautiful complexity so layered that it is like a trip to Thailand. There is no bite that is single flavored. The soups… I had no idea that a soup could be so transformative and seductive. The Thai tea… The coconut water. The mango roll, red curry, green curry, duck, chicken, steak salad, mango and sticky rice desert… Food heaven… Spiritual experience with exceptional service and atmosphere.

I was visiting West Palm Beach for the day and utilized Unilocal to help find a great Sushi place as my friend from Morrocco and I were craving Sushi. The first choice was closed and we happened i’m to this Thai sushi place. I am so glad that I found this place! The food was phenomenal was not sure what the crowd would be like on memorial day weekend we got that instantly. There was a very neat Thai décor and a tiki hut out back to eat as well. I eat sushi a few times a week in the Miami area and let me tell you this place was excellent!!! I had the crispy bok choy — delish but a little oily for my friend– as well as the sashimi appetizer which were both priced great. We then had the Malakor role as well as Ellfy’s roll– and a specialty Zumba Tuna roll as well. Each of these roles were outstanding. The roll named after the restaurant was fantastic however I really enjoyed the Elffy’s roll! I don’t think you could go wrong with any sushi roll in here. And because of my prior trip to Thailand I wanted to try a Thai dish– so I got a form of pad Thai called pad Ke Mao with beef– and asked for it spicy– waitress said–«1out of 5 spicy?» I asked for 4 and was sweating lol Thank Buddha I had an ice cold Singha Thai beer to put out the fire ;) If I’m ever back in WPB, I’d make it a point to get my ass here to eat.

I am Thai and it is hard to find authentic Thai restaurants. This place is so legit! Thanks to my sister for taking me here. She knows how much I love and crave a true Isan(NorthEastern) Thai food. We ordered from Thai menu so I hope whatever I ordered are on the English menu. Let’s just get to the food. PAPAYASALAD — oh my goodness. It’s exactly what I’ve been looking for. Extra spicy served with pork rinds and a side of sticky rice. That is as Isan as you can get. PADSEEEEW — my favorite Thai noodle dish. They nailed it. Loved loved the flavor. It was so savory. If you have never tried it(besides your regular Pad Thai), be adventurous and give this dish a try. PADTHAI(Ko-rad style) — The bomb. Two thumbs up delicious. PADCHA — If you can handle red curry, you will do just fine with this dish. BAMBOOSHOOTSOUP — I’ve never ever seen this dish being offered on your typical Thai restaurants. EVER! Amazing amazing. There are outdoor seating area and also Tiki hut style in the back area. Food was fast. Price was decent. I really wish we have this Thai restaurant in Connecticut!

Best Thai I’ve had in a loooooong time I had the Pad Thai the first time and then 2 days later couldn’t get enough. Went back for more and had the Pad Cha! So amazing! I cannot rave enough about how fresh everything is there. Looks like they grow their own lemongrass and Thai basil right outside the restaurant! Portions are very generous and they are more than willing to cater to any dietary restrictions. Not to mention the service is fantastic. Never had to ask to get a refill on my water and they smiled the whole night through. My favourite part was how they have a separate menu for Thai speaking folk, so you know it’s authentic! The restaurant isn’t big, so recommend reservations! And lunch is pretty awesome too! Try any of their Thai dishes and their sushi as well. Lots of options are available for Vegan eaters and Vegetarians a like.

I’ve been here before and had a different experience as my previous review indicates. However, I was very pleased with the service and the food on this visit. Our server Penny was delightful and attentive. I ordered the pangang curry with jasmine rice and it was delicious. They serve wine which is my preference as I don’t like sake, but my friend drank a sake martini which tasted surprisingly good. He had the red curry(my previous dish) which I didn’t try this time but he had no complaints. I can’t wait to go back!
