I was looking for a place to have my uncle’s repast. I happen to search on Unilocal and discovered this location. I called immediately and schedule an appointment with the owner, Dominic. From the day I met him he was absolutely amazing. I had never planned a repast before but he worked with me and within my budget. The wait staff is extremely tentative. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a great atmosphere, great location, great food, and excellent service.

The rock shrimp appetizer special is an absolute must! Do not even bother thinking about it. I loved it so much after the first time I came here, that ever since I order a dinner portion for an appetizer ! The carpaccio is also excellent. The service is second to none. The staff is very friendly but professional. They execute service on a high level. I sometimes travel an hour just to have dinner or lunch there!

This is my second time at Primavera and it did not disappoint. First time I came I had the oysters Rockefeller and they we great not too greasy and you taste the freshness of the oyster. Entrée I had the osso bucco… Wow… Reminds me of a home cooked taking five hours to cook, like your grandma makes. Large portion and that stick to your ribs taste. More than satisfied very good. Second time I had the roasted beet salad, very good. Fresh oranges with the beets give a citrus accent to the salad, very nice start. Pinot went very well with the salad, decent price and good wine. For my entrée I ordered the Bronzino. Cooked perfectly and greens were complimented well with the fish and all seasoned perfectly. This is one of my favorite dishes at this restaurant. I cannot wait for my next trip to Verona I am coming back and trying more. Spectacular menu and last but of course not least. Bartender, Fernando, awesome guy. Great drinks, great personality, definitely recommend the bar too.

My wife and I had a quiet lunch at this restaurant on the grounds of a local hotel. We each had salads. The meats on the salads were freshly prepared and very tasty. The greens crisp and cold. The dressings were lightly flavored and well balanced with the ingredients. The service was attentive but not intrusive. The bread was fresh and crusty. A nice surprise and good value.

We celebrated our daughter’s college graduation here on a Sunday night. We made all the arrangements over the phone from MN, based on other Unilocal reviews. The experience could not have been better. They over delivered on every front. They gave us a private room, even though we did not request one. We had two dedicated servers, the were terrific. Every course was delicious and portions were large. We chose package #4. It included, hot and cold appetizers, Pasta, salad, Entrée choice(veal Marsala, Chicken Francese, Salmon) all were delicious. To top it off they prepared a delicious cake with whipped cream frosting and chocolate mousee inside. I could not recommend Primavera more. Dominic and Julio did a specatacular job setting the whole event to exceed out expectations.

Had my rehearsal dinner here. Only made reservations for the main dining room since I had a small group. But the manager, Julio, put us in one of the private rooms in the back. We had plenty of room. The regular restaurant has old school décor. Went with the catering menu which offered pasta, salad, entrée(steak, chicken, or fish) and dessert with coffee service. Also added unlimited beer and wine for 3 hours. All the food was delicious and the servers were very courteous and professional. I would definitely come back for a regular meal sometime in the future.

Went here for a business meeting and found my new favorite restaurant! The food and service here is outstanding. Would have given 5 stars if not for the prices being a little high.

Went here on a Thursday night for an event. Beautiful venue and great service. We had: 1) Calamari — crispy, good quality, not too salty 2) Mozarella, tomato, and red pepper — plentiful, very natural tasting and all three in combination was good 3) Chicken Marsala — my favorite of the night, succulent with plenty of sauce and mushrooms, I had some leftovers the next day for lunch and dinner also :) 4) Salmon — average, still soft inside, sauce was good with it 5) Eggplant parm — average, nothing special 6) Salad — had too much dressing on it but otherwise average Overall, I’d come back for a special occasion.

I wanted to buy a previous intern lunch to celebrate her college graduation and this was the only Italian restaurant near us that was both open and had decent reviews. We were the only two there(until a birthday group of 4 – 6) joined. The calamari was crispy but a bit bland(but preferable to over salty). We ordered veal saltimbocca and veal piccata. Both dishes were very well executed. Usually saltimbocca errs on the side of too salty but this one was perfect with the bed of spinach. We both licked our plates clean(no joke). My chocolate mousse was a little too sweet. But I’d definitely return with my family for a special occasion.

This is a very good Italian restaurant located in the Wilshire Grand Hotel. Its patrons are mostly in their 40’s and up and the décor is old-school, but the food definitely made up for it. I had the pork chop calabrese — the thickest pork chop I’ve ever eaten in my life — and was astonished at how moist and juicy it was on the inside, while being completely cooked. I was impressed! My fiancé had the rack of lamb special which he said was good, but not the best he has had. The presentation was lovely. Dessert was unfortunately lackluster, hence the 1-star deduction. Drinks were fairly priced. We’ll be back!

The reason I was back in NJ for this short trip was the wedding of an old friend of mine. They were having a dinner for some folks the night before the big day and I was invited up. The setting was Primavera Restaurant at the hotel where everyone was staying. I was not due to check into my room until the following day, so this was a dry run so I wouldn’t get lost. It was actually very easy to get to. I was the last to arrive as most everyone else was already staying in the hotel. Once I arrived we were seated at our large table and it was time to catch up with some people I hadn’t seen in years. Appetizers were ordered. Calamari? Check. Antipasti with fresh mozzarella, olives, tomatoes and peppers? Check. Clams? Check. Mussels? Check and check mate. Everything was really good and it just kept coming out of the kitchen. I wasn’t sure if I was going to have enough room for a main dish. For my main dish(turns out I had some room left) I had Red Snapper which came with a mango and avocado salsa. It seemed like fish dominated the menu here so I thought that might be a good way to go. It was very good. I probably could have very easily eaten the salsa by itself. Service was very good. We don’t really have Italian restaurants like this where I currently live. Northern NJ has a bit of an edge to it that you don’t see in too many other places. It is one thing I miss from living in this part of the country. The servers definitely had a bit of that edge along with the Italian thing going for them. Authentic and very NJ.

I had a repast dinner for my brother this past Sunday at Primavera. Best choice I could have made. We were a small group of 12. The service was fantastic and the food is authentic Italian. I had the famous Rock Shrimp and my family were all really pleased with their food as well. We are 100% Italian and it takes a lot to impress us but we will be back real soon.

We went to Primavera after discussing many different options. We had decided Reggiano’s sounded good, but then it turned out it had been bought and changed names. When I called, it was La Primavera, the sister restaurant to Primavera(kind of confusing…). They were full with a holiday party, but the person I spoke with gladly made a reservation for us at Primavera. When we arrived in the parking lot of the hotel, we were a bit worried that we were under-dressed. The Wilshire Grand looks FANCY! Although Primavera is a nice place, we were not under-dressed. It can be fancy, but can also be casual. And yes, my husband & I were the youngest people by about 40 years and there was a slightly unpleasant odor(somewhat like kitty litter??). However, the service & the food were spectacular. We were immediately shown to our table and had our seats pulled out for us. Throughout the meal, the servers(I think there were about 5 different people serving/helping us) were so attentive and even friendly. The bread was ok — warm from the oven, but not as crispy on the outside as we like. My dad did have to ask a second time for some olive oil, but then it came immediately. The Minestrone soup was highly recommended by the waiter who took our order, so my parents & I went that route and my husband ordered a simple salad. The Minestrone came in a HUGE bowl and I immediately thought«I can’t eat this all!» I did. It.Was.Fabulous. The veggies were crispy, the noodles were soft and the flavors were wonderful. I would go there again just for this soup! My husband’s salad was elegantly displayed and so colorful. He devoured it. For our main courses, my mom & I split the Pollo Balsamico(Boneless chicken scallopini sautéed with sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms, fresh rosemary in a balsamic vinegar sauce over sautéed spinach), my husband ordered Chicken Parmigiano and my dad went for the Pollo Scarpriello(Pan seared scallopini of boneless chicken, sweet Italian sausage, vinegar peppers, broccoli rabe, seasoned potatoes) — which is totally what I would have gotten had I not cared about calories! The Balsamico came already split into 2 plates(so nice of them!) with a generous portion of mashed potatoes & sauteed spinach each. I definitely cleared my plate and, of course, tasted the other 2 meals. The Parmigiano was cooked perfectly — moist, yet crispy, with a generous portion of linguini. The sausage in the Scarpriello was a bit over-cooked for me, but the potatoes were just right. I definitely would have liked this meal for myself! My mom ended with a cappuccino, and with it came a complimentary plate of DELICIOUS almond biscotti — crunchy and full of flavor. MMM. My mom actually said«too bad we don’t live in this state,» because we would all go back. We were still raving about it the next day! They definitely need to fix their website so it’s easier to find, but that doesn’t seem to be a problem. It was somewhat empty when we arrived, but by the time we finished our meal, it was hopping. (Cute note: when we left, my mom & I asked a waiter where the Ladies’ Room was. He said«I’ve never been there, so I don’t know! But I can tell you where the Men’s Room is…») :)

This restaurant is EXTREMELY underrated! I think people underestimate it because of its plain exterior and its strange location(in a small, tacky plaza). I went here last night for dinner and was blown away! The food was EXCELLENT. I had a caesar salad and the dressing was clearly authentic and homemade. Then my veal entrée was tender and delicious! The potatoes on the side were cooked extremely well and neither greasy nor dry. I didn’t stay for dessert but I would be willing to vouch for all the food served here; my full-Italian family frequents this location and raves that they’ve never been disappointed. The bread they serve is fresh and warm and, instead of bruschetta, they provide each person with a small piece of pizza as a mini-appetizer. It was delicious! The pizza was obviously freshly homemade. I really enjoyed every part of my meal. The atmosphere is pretty well-balanced between casual and formal. They have a small bar area, but it is not large enough to be intrusive. And though the dining room is small, it is not cramped. The service was great as well. Both our waiter and the busboy were attentive, helpful, and friendly and NOT pushy like the waitstaff at some other Italian restaurants. I STRONGLY recommend this restaurant as a solid, reasonably-priced Italian dinner out. I will definitely be going back and I hope that its business increases! It’s some of the best Italian food in the area, by far.
