I would give four stars just based on taste alone. I am a relatively new customer of Panera Bread and have only ordered salads. I’m convinced there are some hidden ingredients in their salads that are not healthy. They probably use some kind of preservatives that make the food look fresh and to extend the shelf life and probably some kind of taste enhancers. It’s funny but if you look around in there you will find a sign that says Panera will stop using artificial ingredients by the end of 2016.

The floor and the tables are filthy. Certain sections have cramped seating. Otherwise it is a typical Panera.

Standard fare… Busy & noisy but no surprises. Disappointed I couldn’t get an egg sandwich at 11:00 am… On a Saturday!

Panera Bread is a good chain restaurant for a quick sandwich or salad. I really like their half and half combo where you can choose two items out of a cup of soup, a salad, and a half of a sandwich or flat bread. Their soups are really good. I love the tomato soup and the broccoli and cheddar soup. I also like their greek salad and all of the warm flat breads. We come here all the time on our lunch break and the service is pretty fast. This place is really big, clean, and it has a lot of great menu options. I also like that they tell you the calories for everything. It’s a little pricey, but I think the quality is worth it.

This Panera is one you should check your food prior to leaving on take outs. They have made more than one mistake on our takeouts it seems to be a continuing problem.

Once you been to one Panera you been to all and this is not the exception. I came here since I was in the mood for some soup before going to the movies. I got to try the cream of chicken and rice, not sure if this is a new soup but it was my first time trying it and it was delicious. Panera to me its still one of the best places to grab a quick meal.

Sandwiches and salad was good. But, Panera got both my wife’s and my orders WRONG. Very disappointing!

I have always driven or walked past this place and never went inside. As an initiative to eating healthier, my friend and I went after the gym yesterday. This was my first time here and my friend usually eats at another Panera Bread. I was looking at the menu, trying to understand the pick 2 and the female at the register wanted me to get off the line to look over the menu. The polite or courteous action would be to explain my options. She was not on her A-game at all. So I asked for a Chicken Ceasar salad and a chicken noodle soup. I asked her if it was fresh, she made a face and said, «It’s hot» Did I ask you if it was hot or if it was fresh. I was so turned off but hungry so I changed the order to a chicken chiptole panini. She appeared to get frustrated but I was a paying customer a and I was always told that Panera Bread was known for their healthy eating. If your not going to provide it, then don’t say it. I waited for my order, picked it up and sat down. As soon as I looked at it, I knew it wasn’t right. I asked for a Chicken Ceasar and they only gave me a regular Ceasar salad. I went back to the counter and they didn’t apologize. The guy took 2 small bags of chicken and poured it onto the salad. I thought there was a better way to handle that bc I thought I may have taken someone else salad. I go back to sit down and then I see the plate I was given was dirty! I was beyond disgusted and all I could do was shake my head. With the bad attitude I was getting from the cashier and the other server, I just gave up. I will admit that the Chicken Chiptole panini was very good. It was warm and tasted very good. The salad was lacking the ceasar dressing so I had to ask for more but it was satisfying. My friend didn’t quite get was she ordered either but it was a learning experience for us both. To go to her regular spot and not always go to the one closest to you. I don’t see myself coming back here and if i do, I will definitely have to speak to the manager. I know if your going to serve food or work with people, we, the customers appreciates a friendly disposition and to be told that the food is fresh. I definitely don’t want to hear that the soup or the food has been out for awhile or a long time.

We ate a very late lunch here when we were suddenly hungry after a shopping trip to Petco next door. My partner usually likes Panera so we went there. This was a disappointment. He wanted the Asiago cheese sandwich. Instead, he received a Velveeta sandwich on stale white bread. It was something from a really bad school lunch circa 1974. Considering that there supposed to be a variety of much better bread and cheese options, I am not sure why he got this. I had an everything bagel with cream cheese. It was barely toasted and I wasn’t given a choice of cream cheese. The location also could have been a bit cleaner. The staff was OK. Is this supposed to be fine dining, no. This should be better, though, than what we received.

You can’t go wrong with Panera. There’s a ton of options for everyone; soups, salads, speciality sandwiches, baked goods. This particular store is a spacious, with lots of seating, so you’re not competing with the tech-y coffee drinkers taking up valuable space. This particular location also has decent outdoor seating which is a bonus. The food here is always good in my opinion, but the service here can be spotty when it comes to orders. I am a fan favorite of the classic salad with chicken, chicken frontega, and french onion soup(it’s not your traditional melted cheese version but still yummy). It’s a good place to grab lunch, especially if you have kids. One of my faves for me and my little one.

I got there a half hour before they closed and they had the entire store put away. I specifically went there for coffee and there was none in the front. When I asked where the coffee was I was told it was in the back. Then to find out that all of the coffee had been dumped out. The manager apologised and offered to make me. Fresh cup as long as I was willing to wait. She brought it out to me and promised to return with cream and never came back. I had to wait like ten minutes to realize she want coming back and had to ask someone else for it. Yeah not such a positive experience

I love Panera, but this one is awful. They’re very slow, even when it’s not busy. Came here last night and ordered two Fuji Apple Chicken Salads. The dried apples were broken and crumbled, just maybe four pieces of chicken and there were NO pecans in either salad. As I was waiting for my food I noticed it was not very clean in there. Very rarely see management on hand which is probably part of the problem. Several years ago a gentleman named Mike was the manager it has not been the same since he left.

They do a fine job with soups, salads, bread and baked goods. They are done quickly for the most part. This location is kept reasonably clean. There are several kids options as well. The coffee lingers in those huge carafes for a bit too long. When it’s fresh, it works, when it’s not it gets quite stale. They have a nice gated outdoor area that is a great spot for lunch in the warmer months.

Never ate here before, always assumed it was just some bakery. I was pleasantly surprised though, they have various soups, sandwiches, pastas and more. I went here for lunch since the subway in same mall suddenly closed down. I got the meditteranean chicken flatbead and it was quite good. Very flavorful chicken with a fair amount in the sandwich. The vegetables were good and the guacamole was very good. It came fairly quickly and wasn’t too pricey — I got two which were about $ 4 a piece. I’m impressed since mainstream spots are seen to be not as good more smaller business places. I enjoyed and would happy to try this again next time I have to go out for lunch. It was take out so I didn’t really examine the actual resturant but it looks spacious, lots of people sitting and enjoying there meals and despite how busy it was there was room to get around, even this person in a wheelchair. Theres also outside seating for even more space.

Panera Bread is a clear choice when I want something refreshing. I usually get a half Chicken Fuji Salad with a baguette and a Hibiscus ice tea and some form of dessert. The salads are balanced with fresh ingredients and the desserts are baked perfectly. I also use the app to order lunch from the Panera on 5th Ave, NYC about 3 times a week.

Fun place. Wi-Fi helps when you want access to internet. Eating and working is good for this place whether doing school work of business work. The foods is tasty. Never enough meat on sandwiches. But they are very healthy, good and tasty. This location had nice outdoor seating for the nice summer days to come. Being located next to the movie theater is a plus. Not to leave out the other shops within this little mall(plaza) called Essex Green.

What’s up with the lunch line? Are there no other decent places to eat in West Orange? Your standard Panera. Food is just like every other Panera. Service is good — I’ve never encountered a rude staff there. Really, the only major downside to this Panera is the lunch lines and how zoo-like it can get. If you come during lunchtime, don’t expect a peaceful, tranquil café dining experience, but more of a noisy hustle-bustle atmosphere where space is limited.

It’s a Panera(a chain), but the West Orange one is a good one. Located in Essex Green Plaza off 280, it is easy to get to and there is ample parking available. There is a good amount of seating inside and a few outdoor tables. Overall, service is fine. I’ve had one or two isolated bad experiences. Sometimes people get confused with the lines between the bakery and food lines, so the lines can get long. About the grub — Convenient,(healthier) soups, salads, and sandwiches. Their breads are very tasty!
