Pollo supreme is our sort of ghetto Spanish chicken spot! Can it have its good and it’s bad yes, but is the chicken good? The answer is yes! This can really turn into a cool franchises if they remodel and create an actual brand! Will I eat chicken from there again? Yes why not, just because it’s a little ghetto inside doesn’t meant he food is good. I order delivery as well when I m hungry and don’t want to spend a lot on a lunch for about 4 people at home.

Like the food usually. At times it is dried out. Also about a year ago they raised their prices. While it used to cost just under $ 8 for a chicken combo with rice, now it is almost $ 10. So I can’t afford $ 10 lunches regularly. And neither can a lot of people in Hudson County. Which probably explains why they are pretty empty most of the time now.

If you live in West New York area this is the place to go for good chicken. The food is so good! And the staff is so friendly. I’m so glad they finally have a cashier that can get my order right. She makes people feel so welcome and has a smile as soon as you walk through the door. And having a bilingual cashier is a huge plus!

I’ve heard some good things about this place from people who grew up there. Those times are definitely gone. I went tonight and my chicken skin was black with lukewarm rice. Rice was pretty average. Maybe because it was a weekday? In my opinion just keep walking unless you just want anything to eat.

The guy javiar is very nice, but we went around 830 and I took an order to go and I asked him to give me a more fresh chicken and heat it up well. He gave me a dry chicken and I asked him if the garlic was alot in the seasoning he said it was medium. NO its is very high and I couldn’t eat the chicken. Overall this was the worst experience I had with chicken. I go to costco and pay 5 dollars and get a chicken that is 3 times as good. This place is so out of my way and I feel like I was taken advantage of with the food. Maybe to them this is okay and good but this is so bad in my book.

Loved this chicken! So much better than the Peruvian place that only has the sauces to speak for it. Loved that the chicken is super flavorful and healthy which makes you not feel bad about indulging. Definitely a favorite of mine! Btw that black rice is to die for!!!

They have some real good chicken… The side orders, no matter what you get are fresh. The service is pretty quick but it gets aggravating sometimes when your trying to order and no one speaks English. But the food is great. I love pollo supremo

If you don’t speak Spanish avoid this place. I just returned from a take out order having ordered the family combo for 21.99. I pointed to it on the menu and pointed to my sides even though their menu says it comes with two sides one being rice and one being fries. Apparently they only hire people with an IQ below 10 bc when I brought the food home. There was no fries just horrible stale rice. I should have went to Boston Market. I really don’t understand how you can run a business and not get a simple order of chicken fries and rice correct. The chicken does not make up for a complete lack of customer service.

If you grew up in Union CIty, West New York, or North Bergen… This is the place for pollo. WorD!!! Eating here is one the of my first memories. The grilled chicken is just amazing. I love the sides: rice, frijoles, platano, yuca, french fries, and salad. I live in Denver right now and they can never make chicken like this. I cant wait to eat again when I go home for the holidays. Why are you still reading this… GOEAT!!!

Didn’t really like the chicken. The meat is stringy and dry. They just cook a huge batch at one time and hope that customer will come in. Unfortunately for me, the chicken probably sat on the grill for too long and was overcooked. They do not give you napkins unless you specifically ask for it. In addition, my meal came with bread but they forgot that too. The restaurant is hot and humid. I guess they’re trying to recreate the authentic south american feel.

My boo and I were looking for places to eat on the other side of the river because we were visiting the whole bergenline corridor to check out places off the beaten path to shop. The chicken here is okay. I wish the chicken was greasy and succulent, but the white meat was more burnt and dried out on the servings I got. My boo’s chicken was lukewarm and almost cold. I don’t like how they cook most of the chicken ahead of time and just stack them up like poker chips. This causes them to dry out and not be fresh. I would recommend maybe coming here if there’s high turnover or a line. I would have given it 1 or 2 stars, but the Yuca fries were pretty good, and the plantains actually were good as well. I’ve had rock hard plantains from Pio Pio in NYC, and they are nicely cooked here. The service seems to be inconsistent. We didn’t get the buttered rolls that comes with the chicken when you order it, but if you ask they will give them to you. Those guys don’t really speak English. When I asked for mayo, they handed me a menu. This place also lacks the nice Mayo/Mustard sauces that you would get at a Peruvian chicken place. That would be icing on the cake and go really well with the Yuca. They also need some aji green sauce too. All in all, not a bad meal for 2. It cost about 15 bucks for a chicken, 2 sides, and rolls.

Love this place! I’m what … going on 26, and have been eating here with my family since i was like, I dont know able to walk, have memories, or as far as my pictures take me con una presita de pollo en la mano! Chicken tastes even better the next day, trust, i lived off of pollo supremo chicken and arroz moro for many days at a time while in college down in trenton. I would suggest going to the one on 32nd street, I’ve always found taht the chicken was fresher there than it is at 43 or 62nd.

I’ve been eating here for at least 15 years and it still tastes great. There is nothing more alluring than the smell of them grilling chicken 5 blocks away. You can’t resist. Its crispy, moist and yet not greasy. The beef tacos are to die for and they don’t skip on the mole sauce or the limes. You need to try this at least once in your life. The best fast food spanish chain out there. I promis.

If you like chicken and spanish side dishes, this is the place to visit! The roasted chicken is delicious, and the intoxicating smell lures you in from 2 blocks away. Although the food is great and well priced, the place inside is very grungey. I would recommend getting take out. The staff is very polite and helpful, if you are a female they tend to be even nicer! I come here often, since the food does not feel as greasey and unhealthy as most. If you like Pollo Tropical and Pollos Mario, you will love this place!
