The worst Indian food in LA I have gone to the corner to get Bangladeshi market food that was better the Naan which had no meat in it. Normally, stuffed Naan has ¼ inch of meat throughout the bread. I just got pieces in mine! The portions are small and when I ordered the mixed Kabob platter I got ¾ chicken and only one piece of lamb and meat!

We just moved in the neighborhood and I was craving for Indian food last night. This place has good food specially their veggie korma. Do not order 35 $ combo for two because it does come with 3 veggies but only 1 naan and one portion of rice pudding and small portion of raita. Veggies are sure enough for two people. but not rest of the stuff. I am planning to try their other dishes soon. Oh their kofta wee Mashed up also.

I love Indian food and all kinds of ethnic foods but this was the worst Indian food I had in a long time. I am upset that I paid so much money for garbage. I don’t trust the reviews online anymore. This is the 3rd time in 2 weeks I bough food at different restaurants based on high ratings and the food turned out to be crappy. From now on I will only trust recommendations from people that I know.

This place is amazing. My boyfriend and I have been here 3 times now and the atmosphere, service, and food have been on point and consistent each time. We start by ordering kingfishers and vegetable samosas, and with the tamarind chutney on the table, this combo is the perfect appetizer. I’ve tried several of the vegetable dishes(I’m vegetarian) and they all are great, but I’m partial to the paneer tikka masala with the fresh bread they make there. My boyfriend always gets tandoori chicken and mango chutney. It always comes out steaming hot on a cast iron plate-a very nice presentation. I highly recommend this place for Indian in weho. It’s a great location, great food, and they are open late!

Loved this place! The wait staff was very attentive and courteous, and the dishes were delicious! I got the chicken tikka masala dish, tandoori chicken, chicken coconut curry, and lamb rogan gosh. That was enough for a table of three, with some to spare! Felt like I was discovering a hidden gem with this place, definitely will be back.

The most amazing Indian food I have ever had– and I am from NY where there is plenty to choose from! The vegetable samosas, meat samosas, and chicken tikka masala dishes are to die for. Since we first ate here 6 months ago we have gotten it delivered or gone to eat there on average at least once a week!

The Indian Kitchen has become a go-to spot for me ever since I first tried it in 2013, so I’m upping my review to 5 stars. It is legit spicy(you can tell them how spicy you want it), high quality, and some of the best Indian around at any price point. I like having it to go as well as dining in(which is required by a lot of the coupons that you get from Coupon Saver etc). It is never too busy and we’re always able to get a table(I’m guessing that take out and delivery is their primary source of income). Everything that I’ve had here has been good and if you can find a coupon, it’s a great deal(without a coupon it’s a bit on the pricey side for Indian but still not going to break your bank). There’s also a lot of options for vegetarians. My personal favorites: Mattar Panner — Home made cheese cubes cooked with green peas. Chicken or Paneer Makhani — Tomato based creamy curry with herbs and roasted garlic Chicken Tikka Masala — Toasted boneless meat in clay oven then cooked with fresh herbs, and creamy sauce Chicken Volcano Dish — super spicy, chef’s secret recipe Gobi Bhajee — Fresh cauliflower sauteed with bell pepper, tomato, onion and herbs. Vegetable Samosa — Two pieces of Samosas filled with seasoned potatoes and peas Garlic Naan — Topped with lots of garlic and basil I’m not a personal fan of RAITA, but my bf orders it every time we come and says that it’s the freshest and best around.

Love this place. It’s super clean and the food is delicious! My waiter made small talk«how was ur day today?» Adoreable. Staff is super friendly. I ordered the chicken ticka masala and biryani-spicy!!! So good! Definitely worth checking out.

My usual disclaimer: my ratings are based on what you expect vs. what you get from a restaurant. «5 Stars» for a diner doesn’t mean it has the food quality of 11 Madison, it means the diner does what it’s supposed to. Had the«Volcano» with chicken. Juicy, flavorful chicken with perfect rice /sauce balance. Easy, affordable in-out place with a very friendly, eager staff.

I love this place because it’s open so late and its pretty good. Their vegetable pakoras are great. Spinach dish(saag) with chicken is so good. Their Chicken masala is good, not the best I’ve ever had, it’s certainly creamy, maybe a little too much emphasis on the cream and not enough on strong flavor. Okra is good, but I would suggest getting a sauce or chutney to mix in with it because it’s very simple in spices. Salt could do the trick if you’re into more subtle flavors. Mango chutney is amazing so is their mint sauce.

A pretty decent place with food as it should taste. They make the spice level as you ask. But beware when you say more spicy — the food comes piping hot and extremely spicy that you will feel the heat coming out of your ears! We were happy with most of the food. The disappointments were(1) The vegetable soup — seriously! I know how dhal with veggies(also called sambhar) tastes like and it cannot be called a soup!(2) Coffee — I expect the coffee in Indian restaurants to be not like the ones we get in iHop! So, though there were few disappointments, it is a pretty decent place with the food prices not too high. Would definitely recommend to try.

I have been ordering take out from Indian Kitchen for the last year and a half and I’m yet to be dissapointed. I’ve ordered samosas, massala, korma, vindaloo, bombay aloo, saag, naan(extra cheese) tandoori wings, birriyhanni. you name it I’ve ordered it. The flavors are perfect, spicy, and fresh. The delivery is very prompt and the food is always nice and hot.

OMG!!! Shame on me for having been lazy and not reviewed this restaurant last week when my partner and I went there for the first time! Ok, the service can go from ok(yesterday) to awesome(last week), but who cares when the food is simply TODIEFOR!!! Their chicken tandoori, chicken massala, and fish tandoori are simply PERFECT! The décor is cozy, and cute with all the pillows hanged on the walls! For Richard and I, OURBESTINDIANRESTAURANTINTOWN!!!

Knowing that we’d want to try a different Indian restaurant from the one we went to last time we were in L.A.(even though we liked the last one), I read Unilocal reviews, then found a certificate for this place. I don’t get it, but this time I couldn’t agree less with my fellow Unilocalers, or even the guy from London sitting at the next table raving about the food. Before we went, we called the restaurant to ask about hours, wine availability, etc. We were told if we brought wine there’d be a $ 10 corkage charge. We’re not used to this in Vegas, but okay, when in Rome, and we know the routine in this city. The waiter came to ask if we were ready to order — food! — not more than two seconds after we’d been seated. We looked at the wine list, saw they didn’t have the kind of wine we liked, i.e., Riesling, so hubby went out to get the bottle we brought along«just in case.» The waiter saw the wine, said there would be a $ 15 corkage charge. Uh, no. He went to check with the owner, came back and said«Yes, $ 10.» The bottle still had the $ 4.99 price sticker on it, along with its screw cap, but it was still gonna be $ 10. We didn’t complain. But we waited for glasses. And waited. And asked four times, until they were delivered. Did he even unscrew the cap, maybe bring an ice bucket, as they’ve done in the other L.A. restaurants we’ve brought our crappy but delicious wine to? Of course not. And it went downhill from there. We started with vegetable samosas, and the filling was bland and tasteless. The vegetable soup was reasonably good, if a bit too salty, but that’s my usual complaint. Rogan Josh with chicken: the positive is that there was a good amount of chicken. But it was flavorless. The spinach, on the other hand, was less creamy than usual, which would have been just fine. It was spicy, but the spice seemed to come only from pepper, and was totally missing the wonderful bouquet of flavor from Indian spices that makes Indian food our favorite. It was just hot. Complete thumbs down. Pasanda with Shrimp: The menu describes it as «Fragrant Distinctive Green Curry Cooked w/ground nuts, freshly blended Herbs…» It was passable, but a little strange-tasting. However, the shrimp were woefully overcooked and chewy. Chicken Biryani — I don’t remember whether it was the bland Biryani or the Rice Pilaf that had me pulling whole cardamom pods out of my mouth while I was eating. Not an attractive thing to be doing. Good thing it wasn’t a first date. Garlic Naan — The menu said GARLIC. That’s what I had wanted. I was prevented from eating garlic for a whole week due to the minor surgical procedure that brought me to L.A., and I was craving it. Couldn’t taste it on this naan. Worse than that? The naan was undercooked, wasn’t even hot when served, and when I asked the waiter if he could have it heated up so that we could chew the damned doughy mess, he said«No, it won’t taste good.» WTF??? So bring us a new cooked one, maybe??? The menu said — at this fancy shmancy restaurant, that they automatically add a 15% service charge. And not just when you have a coupon. We, of course, always tip more than 15%, and if we do have a discount, we always tip on the full amount. After our experience with this waiter, who seemed to arrive stateside just the day before, I can understand why the restaurant would want to add a tip to every check. For the first time in memory, we probably would have stiffed this guy. But to add insult to injury, they added the service charge onto the tax, and even the corkage charge, and even then made it higher than it should have been. Good riddance. The lack of oversight and caring made us want to get out of there as fast as we could.

Enjoyed Indian Kitchen very much. Came in on Thursday night around 9. Pleasant and responsive service, nice décor, though small, and very good food. We had 2 orders of chicken tikka masala and an order of papadam bread. Waters to drink. Chicken TM was very good. Came with soup and rice, all of which were good. No flour or cornstarch in the masala sauce, which is good. Check was $ 28.77 after tax. Recommended and will repeat.

This is a cute little restaurant with delicious food! Had a Girls Night Out a few weeks ago and we decided to go for Indian cuisine. Since this place is centrally located and pricing is affordable, we chose to dine here. For starters, the décor is rich and colorful. All the pillows on the walls are beautiful and comfy. Our server, Ahkmed, was pleasant, helpful and attentive… and very easy on the eyes. Hey boo! We ordered the chicken tikka masala, a veggie masala and a lamb dish(not sure of the name but it was in a creamy green sauce). We also ordered veggie samosas and veggie fritters(clearly that’s not the correct name but it’s the best way to describe those tasty morsels). Man oh man everything was DELISH! Fresh, flavorful and not spicy at all(we chose mild), our tastebuds were in Heaven! The only thing lacking was their garlic naan. For some reason it was thin and cracker-like instead of soft and fluffy. Hopefully that’ll change(or maybe it was just a bad batch) but I’m more than willing to overlook it since everything was else was excellent. Perfect little spot for a date night, business lunch or dinner with friends. I look forward to coming here again.

Easily the BEST Indian Food restaurant I have EVER eaten at! Best thing about it… it is walking distance to my house! My favorite menu items are the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Vegetable Samosas! Can’t forget the Garlic Naan… mmmmmm.

I like the pillows on the walls. Yes, probably not a deciding factor on whether you will be frequenting this restaurant, but I thought it was a cute touch anyhow. Service was good. This place is not super crowded, so you shouldn’t have to wait. Parking is the only major issue here. Street parking can be annoying. 1. Hot wings: Basically chicken tikka, but with wings instead of the usual breast and drums. Pretty good and juicy. 2. Salad: The chips they have in this salad was so good. Just the right amount of crisp. The additions to the other parts of the salad made it flavorful and satisfying. I usually don’t like salads, but this was good. 3. Chicken korma: A little different take on this dish than some of the other places I’ve tried. Much lighter. You can tell that it is homemade because it’s a little grittier than usual. Chicken tasted very fresh. My only issue here is that I wished it had a little more flavor. Maybe I’m just an amateur Indian food eater. 4. Mango lassi: One of the better, thicker lassis I’ve had. It’s not a huge glass, but it tastes good. Not too sweet. Very mango-y. Definitely give it a try. Enjoy!

So it’s hard to find good Indian food — cause I know how it’s supposed to be. ;) But these guys have it done right! Don’t expect the most amazing of service but the food is fantastic and the ambiance is wonderful! First you get seated at these booths that have bright colorful pillows from top to bottom. Just as colorful and pleasant as Indian textiles are! You feel so regal and really comfortable at the booths and tables. I had the luxury of being totally taken care of by my out of town friends. They ordered every dish and everything was delicious. Careful as this is one Indian restaurant that means business when they cook with spice. If you can’t handle the heat, tell them. Their basic dishes had some kick to it and I of course loved it! :) They start all their meals with a veggie soup. It’s not bad, i got more garlic bits than anything — but I don’t mind cause I love garlic. Their naan and rice were cooked well. Thought the rice was a bit dry but that’s just the difference between Persian and Indian rices — I gotta remember that! Parking is easy if you just take a minute to read the signs. They have valet, a private parking lot, and they validate parking. But if you don’t like any of these options, you can drive around looking for street parking at meters in the area. :P It’s a definitely casual environment and the servers are great. Could have used more on my water refill but they did a great job with our large order and particular requests for dessert. Haha — get the Kulfi mango Ice Cream! Delicious and creamy!
