Annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of West Hollywood

This was the first annual making strides walk and while it may not have been planned out perfectly, I think it was a great event with an even greater cause. The problem was that we were supposed to be there at 9:30 AM on a Saturday. The event did not start until about 2 hours later, which pissed off a few people who had woken up super early and then we stand there, waiting… however the 2 hours they did go over, 1 of them was worth it. I believe 1 hour was devoted to stories of people who have survived breast cancer, people who are currently going through it, people with relatives… It was touching.
The walk itself was only 2 miles and ended at The Abbey. While I didn’t raise much money for this event (It was very last minute that I found this), I was proud of all of us for marching and making strides, penny by penny.
