It’s rare to find a doctor with as much knowledge as Dr. Streja. It’s rare to find a doctor with as much Compassion. It’s rare to find a doctor with as much dedication. I have never had a Doctor sit me down in his personal office and have 30 minute conversa-​tions about the options I have. I have never had a Doctor take the time to reply to my email on a CONSISTENT basis like Dr.Streja. This man has all this traits which makes him 1 in 3 trillion. His nurse? Lisa is the hardest working CMA I have ever met. Even with handling more work then she should legally be allowed to… She still takes the time to take care of my urgent issues. Not to mention has a memory like an elephant considering that she never forgets a thing.
Dr. Streja has solved issues which took 4 – 5 different doctors in this network to give up on in the first meeting. Most endocrinologists are nothing more than DIABETIC special-​ist. My issue stems from a brain tumor which is located in my pituitary gland. This leaves me at 25 years old to a life filled with hormone replacement. Something most endocrinologists don’t feel confident in dealing with. Dr. Streja and Lisa got me a referral to UCLA surgeons for my tumor (which was approved against my insurance wishes be-​cause they both stood up for me).
Now I feel a million bucks. I am on hormone replacement and being monitored 2 – 3 times yearly for the nasty side effects that exogenous hormones can have. Mostly to make sure your LDL/​HDl cholesterol is good and red blood cell count is not too high. He is also a Cardiologist. Where are you going to find a part time professor at UCLA, Cardiologist, Endocrine, and someone who handles general health? I feel like tipping them as I leave. I leave feeling guilty paying my co pay to see them. Compared to all the clown doctors I have encountered at providence this is my best kept secret and if you’re suffering from anything endocrine related– You need to switch doctors.

Very happy to have found Dr. Streja. If you have issues with Diabetes, go to him, very sweet and caring doctor. And his nurse Lisa is the funniest lady, super nice.
