My go-to place for to-go Mexican food in the West Valley. I have been a fan for a while now — chicken especially is tasty and tender. Food always tastes fresh and delicious. Taquitos, flautas and chimichangas perfectly fried. Nice traditional flavor combinations. Always consistent. Have never eaten in so cannot describe physical ambiance of place, however, «virtual» ambiance has been quick and friendly. Love this place.

Their food is amazing! I buy their chicken all the time, I mean, all the time. I order their chicken for my gatherings every single time. Their service is great all around. They even deliver and they always get the food here before the designated time of arrival. I would highly recommend that you try their place. The food is simply amazing! I give it 100 percent!

I can not thank Brianne enough for helping me out with catering an event! I had called a few other locations about the having food delivered and they were more into their routine than what I needed. We had an event for about 30 people and needed someone to deliver the food to our location. Brianne was so supportive as in what we could do and the selections were broad, not just a few items. I finally ordered the taco party, fajitas and quesadillas. All of the food was amazing! Brianne was prompt with her emails and call backs. We are planning to have an event monthly, we will be using El Pollo Amigo again! Thanks again Brianne!

This place is really good. When I mean really good, I mean price, quantity, quality, and location. I usually get the muscle combo which is under ten bucks and feeds two people basically or one hungry person . The other stuff is amazing but the chicken really does stand out with that amazing flavor. Definitely recommended. Awesome parts are employees are very cool and do greet you once they get to know you and suggest things here and there.

I called and asked if they delivered the kind lady said yes we do in a 3 mile radius. Perfect were we qualify. So we get our order ready for 30 min, mind you this is a work place with about 6 people so imagine how long and complicated that was. After getting our order ready we call and they say that they can’t pass topanga canyon? We’re not passed a 3 mile radius why can’t you pass topanga canyon. It’s a forbidden street? I even told the guy im making a big order and I’ll tip the driver a lot still the answer was no. And he also said im very busy today. Okay dude get your Unilocal facts straight and follow your info

I found the chicken to be good, the cheese enchilada average. The beans and rice average, as well. Nothing bad, preventing me from returning. Just average. The service is great. The place is clean. I may be back if I’m in the area. Not sure why the soda machine is turned away from guests??? Isn’t soda the cheapest part of a restaurant operation. Maybe, I’d get one refill, max, if it was facing me. They might offer refills. I don’t know. I didn’t ask. Also, you can’t put a price on a fresh salsa bar. This place could greatly benefit from one. Try this place and see for yourself. I found it a-okay.

Fire the new cooks !!! We order delivery from El Pollo almost weekly. We have for quite some time. I think today is the last day that I will ever eat at or order from this place again. The menu changed a little while back and the quality did with it. It used to be fresh beans, fresh rice, fresh everything, carne asade made just right, chicken to perfection… now everything tastes canned, looks canned and just is missing the quality and flavor that they used to deliver. Dont’s go here, you would be better off spending your money at one of the hundred other Mexican food restaurants in the West Valley. It is really too bad that they have lost their edge and are destroying their reputation with terrilble food.

One of those places that could probably be great but I don’t think the management knows how. First things first; food is good! Not fantastic but good. Certainly good enough to compete in this market and amongst their competitors. Also, the place is clean. Very clean. At least the areas frequented by clients is. And that is where the stars stop for Amigo. The elderly couple running the place seems oblivious to small yet important items though. Here are a few I noticed: Parking in the busy plaza is an issue. If I owned the place I’d park my own car two blocks away. They take the most convenient spot to the front door. Heck with clients I guess. 7 – 11’s famous Gulp and Slurpee drinks and a shaved ice place are right next door. Yet here may be the only place left in SoCal where soda machine is turned away to avoid a free refill. I paid $ 2 for a drink that finished quick in the hot day with hot food. Had to go next door to buy another drink as I wasn’t about to even ask for something that is so ordinary and expected. The entire time I was there it seemed like a training session for employees on their new cash register was going on. The lady manager loudly instructing her staff like a marine sergeant. That may be good in getting quality out of your staff but the clients shouldn’t be exposed to it. I don’t want to touch your garbage lid to throw out my empty plate. A fast food style garbage receptor with swinging door is only a few hundred dollars. The garden variety bin from Wal-Mart is not suited for a restaurant. I can go on for more but will stop here. Hope they can see through the daily grind of things into how their customer experience can be improved. I wish them the best on that.

Decided, since I live so close to this establishment, it’s about time to try it. Located in a small shopping center is El Pollo Amigo. The establishment is clean and very plain. It is a typical fast food type of Mexican restaurant. The service was nice & really helped with my meal choice. I took home the monster burrito(added sour cream) For the burrito, it was simple and generic. I do want to say that the white chicken put in the burrito was good. The rice & beans was plain. The burrito was drenched with red sauce & cheese. Again, tasted generic & can find this type of taste at most Mexican restaurants. The chips were solid & the salsa was a nice sweet salsa that worked with the crunchy tortilla chips. Overall, I thought the meal was average. The taste has been duplicated multiple times. The chicken was yummy. I think the 3 stars is proper. It’s not great and not bad, it’s average. Also, I was a little shocked to rack up a bill of $ 10.58. I don’t think the meal matched the price. I probably would not come back just because for the steep price, I can get a better prepared meal for less. Thanks for taking the time to read my review :)

We have ordered from this place 20+ times delivery, then tonight they decided they don’t deliver to us??? She says they never had but I’m not imagining all those times it has been delivered. Many a new manager or something but they lost our bi weekly order now. If she was nicer about it we might still give them our money. Food wise it’s not bad. The beans aren’t the best and the corn was always cold but it was cheap and fast delivery :) guess they don’t need our business.

My husband and my daughters friend were in the area and we decided to get something to eat before we picked my kids up from school. We’ve driven by El Pollo Amigo many times and decided to try it. The parking lot doesn’t have a lot of spaces so we were able to get a space on the street. We were greeted with very friendly staff, you can tell that this place is family owned. We ordered the following: Chicken cheese enchiladas with rice — lots of shredded white meat chicken and yummy, gooey cheese and well seasoned rice. Seasoned perfectly! Beef Quesadillas with rice and beans — Lots of shredded beef, with bell peppers and cheese. I love the beans and rice. It all tasted great. Chicken tenders with fries — for a kids meal, they gave a lot of chicken tenders. My daughters friend loved it. Next time when I go back I want to try their charbroiled chicken, this is their specialty so if my Mexican food was great, I bet their chicken is better.

I found them on Unilocal and wanted something new. I’m very happy I came here for lunch. Around 1 the place is empty so I ordered nachos and sat down. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, both of which are sanitary to sit at. It took about 6 minutes for the nachos to arrive and I was pleasantly satisfied when they were done. The sour cream, avocado, and jalapeños were on the side which I think is great for customization and preference; also good to use it as dip. The nachos had beans, steak, and cheese on it; all of which were flavorful and worth my money. I am happy I came here and will come again!

Been here several times over the past several years and service has always been good and food too… Not the most authentic but it’s good Pollo Asado has been nice and juicy every now and then I did get a dry piece or order but that was usually super late at closing but flavor was still good. And they made a fresh version once when it was super dry They always accommodate my sub for all beans instead of rice and beans. Beans are nice and fresh and tasty… The Mexican lasagna is a nice twist white chicken meat on a bed of rice and beans with red sauce all over… Nice flavor but I usually add a kick of tapatio to kick it up a notch… Chimichanga plata is not the same olé version but smaller version but more pieces and more crispy goodness So if grilled chicken is your game the. This is your place… Haven’t had the burgers or BBQ items yet
