I have not seen a Ben & Jerry’s in Florida so when my daughter saw this on our visit to Hartford we had to stop. It is a nice ice cream shop on Main Street with 4 tables and a window bench to sit at. I wish they had hot drinks but my wife and daughter loved the ice cream and cookies.

The ice cream was delicious but I have NEVER received such terrible customer service. Not only did one of the female workers accuse my friend of not paying for her cone(which she did, $ 5 on her credit card) but she wrongly called us Mexican simply because we spoke Spanish to each other and she mumbled under her breath and called my best friend the n-word. Won’t be coming back– EVER.

I go to Ben and berries quite often. I am not going to argue anything, the ice cream and shakes are a 5 star. The prices are a bit extreme, but its worth it. The reason that my rate isn’t a 5 is, the staff is a bit rude at times, last week I went and the lady was talking to the other lady behind the counter, and didn’t even talk to me, except for asking my order. Even with my change, she just said, «$.53 cents» Today I got the same attitude. I think its something to look into.

Who doesn’t love Ben and Jerrys? Great ice cream, too many long lines. They’re open till later so weekdays so it’s a bit easier!

Made a mockery out of «Free Cone Day.» I grew up in the town where the Ben and Jerry’s factory is. Free Cone Day there is basically a town-wide holiday. Since moving away from home, I always seek out a local shop to celebrate a special day from my childhood. The West Hartford scoop shop disgraces the day. First of all, they don’t provide cones. The word cone is in the day, for God’s sake! The portion given out in each puny cup couldn’t have been more than a half a scoop. And the staff was rude, and corralled the visitors like cattle. I won’t be coming back. If rather drive to Branford than frequent a scoop shop that considers Free Cone Day to be a burden.

Who doesn’t love ice cream? After a delicious meal in the center, my best friend and I ended the night with ice cream! I ordered the mint chocolate chunk and cookie dough and I was sad to say there were barely any cookie dough pieces in my ice cream! I get way more when I buy the pint. However there were so many chunks of chocolate in my mint ice cream, so I guess that makes up for it… Barely! I’ll be back but this time– requesting more cookie dough!

Been here many times. Reasonable prices, spectacular ice cream, good times. But I’ll just say this… Right now, the store is closed for a renovation; completely understandable that Mid-February would be deemed an appropriate time to do this. But when they reopen — They had BETTER have ample amounts of «The Tonight Dough» on hand. It just came out this week. I couldn’t find it anywhere… ANYWHERE! I figure the scoop shop will be the place to go when they reopen. But if they don’t have what I crave… Beware Mister Benjamin and Mister Jerome(I assume those are your birth names), for the Unilocal Stars shall burst, and not in your favor. *spooky music with poor sound quality faintly plays in the background.”

Yum! How can you go wrong with a scoop or two of Ben and Jerry’s! This is a great alternative to having a whole pint in the freezer at home and having to test your self control! :-)

The staff is always friendly and efficient at this B&J’s location. For some reason the hand packed pints(albeit more expensive) always taste better than those you find at the grocery store.

Breyer’s is selling out, adding all kinds of crap to their ice creams to serve the proletarian palate. What’s an genteel ice cream connoisseur to do? Go to Ben and Jerry’s that’s what.

I came here when I had a late night craving for ice cream. I first ordered the half baked chocolate chip ice cream. The ice cream was too soft for me and tasted too much like chocolate ice cream. The staff heard about my disappointment and provided me with samples of ice cream so I can choose which would be the best for me. She was soo sweet. I got cookie dough. I had a great experence.

Yesterday was Ben & Jerry’s annual Free Cone Day and I waited in line at this particular location to get my free cone. I celebrate this day every year. Due to the staff’s efficiency and sticking to their well-established system, I was at the counter placing my ice cream order in no time even though the line was out the door and I was standing in front of Gyro Palace when I first got there. On regular nights when I’ve popped in for a sweet and cold treat staff have almost always been friendly and fast. I love that they let you try as many flavors as you want. As the flavor explorer that I am, I’ve definitely appreciated that. The ice cream flavors are well represented here even though it’s a small store. Through the years I’ve noticed that some of the flavors are not as great as others and can leave a lot to be desired in taste and/or texture. The red velvet flavor is a disaster, for example. Last night I got chocolate fudge brownie, an old favorite, and it was not as good as I had remembered. The brownies tasted kind of artificial. The cone was perfectly perfect though — fresh, crunchy, and flavorful with not a hint of staleness. I don’t know if the quality of their product has gone down a notch or my ice cream palate has become more refined since my fabulous roommate started making ice cream at home. Even still, I am a fan. I still love certain flavors like mint chocolate cookie. I respect their mission and values. Most of all, I love Free Cone Day! What better way is there to express customer appreciation?

Ben & Jerry’s — I am a devotee. I have made the pilgrimage a couple of times to the mother-ship in Waterbury VT. We seek out B&J where ever we can. This little shop does the brand justice. My daughter and I like to buy decadent treats there to celebrate small successes, like a great report card. One of the things I like best is that you can get a reliable list if ingredients. I know it sounds crazy, but there are some local businesses similar to this that have provided me inaccurate ingredient lists. I have a family member who has sensitivities, it is very helpful to have a list of ingredients. if you ask they will help you determine exactly what is in everything they prepare.

this is a way awesome selection of ben and jerrys, better than the grocery store obv and closer than driving to waterbury, vermont for your fix. i’ve been here a couple times and the staff is really nice. they let you try whatever you wanna try, don’t make a fuss about samples and never mind waiting for you to make up your mind. cones here are bangin, it is always fun to order and see what they’re serving. it’s just what you’d expect from ben and jerry’s though. you could buy a pint from the grocery store, or a cone of ice cream. you be the judge.
