Great time, great ice cream and Italian ice! Really thick, rich and creamy soft serve. This is definitely a spot!

I’m not sure I can write a four star review for this place because I question their definition of «custard» but it hits the sweet tooth spot so here we go four stars. I’m from Wisconsin and custard is very different and does not come out of a soft serve machine but maybe it’s the New England style custard. Things are different here (in a good way).
You can get funky combinations of Italian ice or custards. Most recently I had only Italian ice, cherry and lemonade, and ate every last scoop. I probably over ate but oh well, YOLO.

After all these years of living within just a few miles of Rita’s, I finally made it over for some shaved iced! It was the first day or spring so they were giving out large cups of free ice… it was also snowing. I was delighted to see that there wasn’t a huge line… probably because it was snowing and we walked right up to start sampling. They encourage you to try the flavors. I tried the Swedish fish which tasted EXACTLY like Swedish fish. For my full size, I went with a lemonade. It was soooooo delicious. Tart and refreshing. On a hot summer day it would be a dream come true. I’m so excited for summer now that I know this frozen treat awaits me (without making me freezing cold because it’s March and 30 degrees outside).
The young girls who worked there were really bubbly and nice. The establishment was clean and I will definitely go back!
