It took a while but the waiting was worth it. I ordered the #14 and it just great every bite from the meat to the rice. Oh and the side bread just knocked this one out the park.

Portioning sucks. I believe I ordered the chicken salad. I only got like three pieces of small ass chicken breast and literally the entire tray was just filled with just veggies and tons of cheese bits. I did not enjoy it at all.

I love, love, love tabbouleh. I cannot stress this enough. It’s perfect when wanting to eat light but fill your tummy and when you’re trying to watch what you eat. I never knew this place was in the West Covina food court so I was super excited to try it. Granted, I wanted to give them a lower rating but I believe it’s partially my fault. You see we had an appointment at JC Penney for a photo session. They were running behind schedule and there were 3 families ahead of us and that it would be 20 – 25 min before they even got to us. My daughter was hungry so we decided to grab something quick. She wanted Chinese Food of course and I didn’t know what I wanted until I saw this place. I was sold and ordered the #22(I believe) the veggie plate which comes with Falafel, Tabbouleh, hummus and some bread. I should have asked if it was going to take a long time to prepare my order. I didn’t think to ask because only one person ordered ahead of me. Boy was I wrong, my daughter was ½ way finished with her food and I hadn’t gotten mine. Don’t get me wrong, the rating wasn’t for the food because it was delicious even though they forgot my tabbouleh(DANGIT, this is what I wanted). The rating is for the service. I had to tell them I would come back for my order because I knew that 20 min had already passed and we needed to get back. Needless to say, they didn’t offer to make it quick and we had to leave and when I did go back it was closing time. Hence they forgot the tabbouleh. I didn’t notice until I got to the car and well since it was closing, I didn’t feel like hustling back upstairs. What a shame because the food is really good. I would have liked to try their chicken swarma. I might give them a second try since I did say I felt this was partially my fault. Anyway, just know that when it’s busy you’ll have to wait awhile before you get your order. The prices are decent enough. The Falafel was fantastic as was the yogurt dressing. I didn’t care for the hummus and well I can’t comment on the tabbouleh since they forgot it off my plate.

Okay, okay I looooooooove Mediterranean food!!! Reminds me of my childhood! So when I see one of my favorite restaurants turned into a pop up in the West Covina mall I instantly start salivating! I am just imagining the delicious chicken shawarma with just the right amount of onion, tomatoes, seasoning, and of course some sauuuuuceeeee! It was just like that!!! I think it could have used more sauce since naturally the chicken is a little bit dry. The customer service is awesome here! I docked a star because you can’t tip with your debit. You can only tip w. Cash. That’s not cool to your cashier and cooks Local Grill! I always like to tip and I feel so horrible when I don’t mainly because I know they worked hard and probably aren’t getting paid as much as they should. Besides good customer service should always be rewarded. Other than that I will definitely be back with cash next time! I recommend the #12 plate!!! Do yourself a favor and get it!!!

Give me this place a five-star just because it’s the only middle eastern place around here so beggars can’t choosers! Lol The menu is full of choices and the service is pretty good.

This place doesn’t deserve a 1 star review but it also doesn’t warrant a 5. I thought about a 4 but I just didn’t try enough to review on a combo. I had the hummus dip, which I thought was good, but the overwhelming taste of lemon decided this review. The staff was friendly enough but please do something about the strong lemon flavor for the hummus, it was just too much. I am willing to try this place again and re-review but for now this is what it gets.

Ordered M-Grill Chicken while in the mall. The wait was long especially for a place that serves to go food in a shopping mall’s food court. Management/order taker should advise of the wait before order is placed. 25 min wait is beyond ridiculous. Food was just average too.

My go-to meal is the #13, Persian Koubideh. I usually ask for tabouli instead of the shirazi. It satisfies my craving for middle eastern/mediterranean food. I’m sure there are better restaurants out there but let’s face it — here in West Covina, we’re lucky to have this one! I was sad when Kosta’s closed down so I was thrilled when this place opened.

Average pricing for Mediterranean food but the portions were small. Lot of rice but hardly any chicken. I would recommend going to Zancooks chicken in Pasadena. The wait was long and the hummus was extra, not the best place to go to for Mediterranean food.

I’m glad I finally gave this place a try! I ordered the Persian beef plate. I don’t remember the full name. The beef kabobs were decent, very fresh and hot off the grill. The Basmati rice was fragrant and well cooked. The plate also included a grilled tomato and pepper which was nice although the pepper was too hot for me to handle. The pita which was included was decent standard pita and I threw it away due to lack of hummus or dipping sauce. I will definitely be a returning customer for now they have a pretty large menu with plentiful options and tastes to satisfy almost every craving from French fries to rice stuffed grape leaves !! The girl at the register was like super pretty perfection by the way. I could just stare at her all day.

There was a line with a long wait at RR so we decided to brave the food court. I got the #13 Persian Koubideh plate for $ 7.95. The food was salty. Not as good as MK in Santa Anita Mall. They have less meat too for the same price. Yes it’s 2 pieces but they were just half a foot each as compared to 2 footlong pieces at MK. My sister ordered the combination plate($ 9.95). The chicken was dry and again, salty, even the cucumber salad was salty too. They give you a lot of rice and a 3 pieces of store bought pita bread cut into triangles and nothing to dip them in other than the side of chicken broth we were instructed to pour over the rice. Uhm, no thanks. I tried to dip the pita bread in it and didn’t like the flavor. Mom had the #16 Chelo Kebab $ 9.45. Salty, dry piece of beef over a ton of rice, it came with a side of Greek salad. The only one who finished their food was my son, but he’s a big boy so there you go. He ordered the Koubideh sandwich $ 6.95. A lot of pita bread not enough meat. I had to share some of the meat on my plate when I saw that the last two bites of his sandwich didn’t have any left. So that summed up the question that was bugging me when I saw that there wasn’t a line. Salty food that’s a little too steep for the pocket. Needless to say, I’d be making that trip to Santa Anita Mall to hit MK when I’m craving for some Mediterranean food.

The food is awful over salted and not appealing to the eye. If you don’t believe the bad reviews, try their food for yourself and be your own judge, but if you want to waste your money on bad food be my guest. These reviews that are good are not from real customers it’s their friends.

My favorite healthy option in Pasadena has finally landed in West Covina. Unfortunately the food is inconsistent & not the same quality as I’m used to. I am obsessed with the #17 beef steak plate so obviously this is the 1st thing I order when I try this location out. The beef steak was cut up into 3 – 4 small pieces and placed on a whole pita bread with a charred tomato and another whole pita on top. The steak was a bit overcooked as it was dry and the presentation was just overall unappealing. Normally this is served whole with charred green bell peppers & tomato chopped & placed on top with a few pieces of pita cut up on the side. Big difference. I wish I would have taken a picture so I could show you a side by side… The shirazi salad was under seasoned & lacked tomatoes. I will try again because I love the Pasadena location so much but hopefully someone reads this and they sort out the consistency issues.

Can Coco Plams Express please return!!! Do not bother looking at the combo images on their menu cause they do not match what they serve. Their chicken is tasty but stains your hands yellow for the rest of the day. No exaggeration. Never again.

This place is horrible. The service was super slow and the food was not good. I ordered the chicken platter and I got 4 pieces of chicken, which was decent, a whole lot of rice and a pathetic cucumber salad. My friends got the chicken sandwich. The picture that stated a no. 3 came with fries but there order had no fries. Very misleading. I wish coco palms express was still around. This place is a joke and is not a what Mediterranean food is about.

Great Mediterranean place! The chicken shawarma was particularly juicy. The creativity behind the idea to wrap it bowl it and toss it is innovative. What I got was a chicken shawarma bowl and complete satisfaction. The tahini sauce was on point.

This place was ok, I usually judge Mediterranean food by the hummus and let me just say I’ve had better. The plates don’t look like the picture they show I bought the number 20 it was mainly rice –they only have basmati rice, the only thing I really enjoyed was the salad that comes with the plate. Greek salad didn’t have much and we found hair in it so obviously we didn’t continue to eat it. Nothing has beat Krazy Kabobs in Montebello, I wish they were closer to West Covina… continuing my search for a good Mediterranean place.
