Food is not bad. Its alright for Filipino food. It’s a bit pricey. I ordered 2 item combo 2 bbq and beef sinigang reached like $ 9 something. I eat here like twice a week. Price is high for me. Most Filipino food prices are going up.

my wife is very fond of their breakfast at this place. the portions are pretty hefty and the quality is great. this place is smaller than dj’s next door and is about the same taste wise. if you are looking for a place that is fast, good tasting, this is your spot.

Their Filipino breakfast is so good and under $ 5. There’s a lot of tables here to eat but they’re so close together that you need to be careful when moving around. Also if you want sabaw(soup) for your rice, just ask and it’s free!

Coming from the Bay Area and 1st time going to West Covina, my family and I were suppose to eat at the Filipino buffet place but my GPS acted up so it took us to the Filipino plaza but cannot exactly find where the buffet place is so we just picked any restaurant we can find there and we found this little gem in So Cali. When we came in we were greeted with servers and the variety of the food(Turo-turo) style is plenty and looks fresh not(Tira-tira) get it? My family ordered different types of ulam and all of us are content with our orders plus our total bill for 7 people with drinks only totaled around $ 60. They serve a pretty good portion of food too so we were pretty full when we left. There’s a sign on their mirror wall that says in Filipino«We guarantee we serve different types of food daily and if the food does not taste good, it’s FREE» I tried to pretend I’m not satisfied but I failed.

Been here a few times since my last review. The experience when ordering food to go is always decent. Come early though, because they do run out of stuff. During the last visit, my fiancé ordered bistek and lechon. The server said the lechon was fresh, so I was hooked. Our meals came with soup, and we ate everything in-house. Funny thing though, when we asked what time they closed, the lady worker said some random time, like«8:49PM». Not 9:00PM, but 8:49. Lol

If you want Super cheap, unpretentious, and you just want to get your Filipino food grub on without the hassle of a long wait, Itoy Sa Atin is king in my book. «Itoy Sa Atin» means«This Is Ours» in Tagalog. more like«This is our home cooking» since it is pertaining to a Filipino restaurant. A humble hole in the wall Itoy Sa Atin is located inside the Seafood City Plaza in West Covina, corner of Amar and Azusa Ave. They serve pretty much all the mainstream Filipino dishes, desserts, sides and beverages. Breakfast, lunch and dinner, whatever time of day it is they’ll have something to take you back to the islands. They even have several old tv’s showing Filipino variety shows and soap operas. Can’t stand them, personally. I love this place because it’s authentic, no frills, and they treat everyone like family. They tend to get a little flabbergasted when my tall, white husband walks in and asks for sisig without blinking an eye, but they tell me in our language that they feel flattered that we still come here after all these years and dine in their«hole». That’s so sweet. Our favorites: Sisig(of course) BBQ on a stick(chicken and pork) lumpia Giniling chayote Tinola Nilaga Sinigang turon Sago or melon juice Grilled eggplant omelette We often come here for breakfast/brunch/lunch after picking up the kids after staying the weekend with my parents. I always buy extra food for dinner that evening to save me a stint in the kitchen. Can’t wait to come back with the family!

I had their two item combo. Overall I’d say that if you’re looking for the taste of home cooked Filipino meals, this is not the place to go. The food here tasted like they cheaply tried to save money on ingredients, that the food tasted really bland. For example, the first item on my combo was the beef kaldereta. It tasted like pure tomato sauce. The second item was beef steak. For some reason, it tasted sour.

Been to this location and the one in Las Vegas. Always great food at a reasonable price. Food is always fresh and have never seen food that’s been sitting in a warmer for a while. Only comment I have is on the day I went to this location, the airconditioning seems to be set at an uncomfortable setting on a hot day. It was warmer than any restaurant I“ve been. OVerall I would highly recommend this restaurant and will come back if I am in the area again.

Craving Filipino food? Low on funds? Great… come eat here! They serve a variety of Filipino dishes to choose from. The usual 2 item combo with rice and a small bowl of soup will fill you up. Not saying this is the best Filipino food around, but it’ll do. Not much to say about the ambiance(think eatery/cafeteria feel)…I find it more comfortable just ordering to go and eating at home, but that’s just me. Best time to come is early in the morning for breakfast when everything is fresh out of the kitchen and right after breakfast when the new lunch items are being added.

Don’t eat here. They use the cheapest quality meat. And their tables are dirty. But then again most Filipino restaurants are just as worse.

Having gone to the other Filipino food joints in the area more often, most of Ito Ay Atin’s food are on the better end of the spectrum. However, good food does not suffice for a 5-star rating. The service was a turn-off compared to anywhere in the area. I went with my family(a group of 5) for lunch. We ordered 3 combos to share since my mom, sisters, and I have small stomachs. Plus, one combo consisted of a big portion of rice, and 2 entrees. As we were checking out, we requested more plates for sharing. The lady behind the cashier said they are unavailable. Also, she only gave us 3 cups of water because there were only 3 combos. This are really just little things, however it made eating there really awkward. The food were in boxes and 2 people had to sit close and eat off the box’s lid. Because they can only provide 3 cups and we shared, we had to get up more often for more. No big deal, but sometimes the smallest things can ruin the experience. A few plates and cups shouldn’t be so much… There are more generous places nearby. Also, the tables were small. The big ones that could seat us were not even clean. We ordered dinuguan, barbeque(they gave us 2 sticks), sinigang, pork sisig, karekare, menudo. The only two that stood out to me was the dinuguan and the pork sisig. The pork sisig was the best. I love how it has very mild spicy flavor to it. Their dinuguan was good too but it was kinda a little further down the oily side, making it okay. Overall, Ito Ay Atin’s an option if you eat a lot or if you’re into take out. However, for us, we won’t be coming back any time soon since we like eating at the restaurant.

Breakfasts are less than $ 5 for tocilog, tapsilog etc… Yummy toron and other typical Filipino treats to go. Friendly service. Lots of seating. Usual Filipino atmosphere with TFC blasting on several tv’s :)

Best spot for Filipino food in the area. The food and service is great. They always greet you with a smile unlike the other surrounding Filipino spots such as D. J bibingkahan, totos lechon, and kusina ni lola. those places suck. My family and I always go here and we always leave happy and satisfied.

Having lived a couple blocks away for a couple years in WesCo. and growing up with lots of Filipino friends and family. I’ve grown accustomed to Filipino foods and I’m especially fond of the breakfast. this right here on Azusa and Amar is Little Manila in the SGV. with a wide variety of Filipino shops, markets, bakeries, and of course restaurants. I tried Pinoy Pinay, DJ’s, Jollibee’s, and a couple others but I like Itoy Sa Atin the best out of all of them, the food has always been fresh and delicious. the sisig, tocino, and baby octopus have been superb. very home cooked taste. since moving out to Chino, the IE. there are no Filipino restos out there except closest being Jollibee’s in Chino Hills which is disappointing to say the least. whenever I’m back in WesCo I hit this spot up for some masarap grub. Salamat Itoy Sa Atin!~

The Filipino version of fast food. They have a humongous selection of cooked food and you pick what you want. We came here for lunch. I like their sausage and most of the dishes I’ve tried are good. I’d skip their garlic rice though if you are there for lunch as the garlic rice is from the morning and it gets pretty hard by lunch time.

I came here by myself, without my family, sometime after school/work and in my uniform… ordering my favorite… that’s when I knew I was a fan. I’ve been coming here for a number of years and my family has been returning time and time again, even for catering. Having tried many Filipino restaurants and increasing my options, I decided that this location is one of my favorites when it comes to home cooked meals. Walking in the staff is very welcoming and pleasant, ready to take your order. Much like you would when ordering at a mall or in a Chinese place, grab a tray and select your food… as it is all shown to you behind a glass. There are number of dishes offered with a variety of fish, pork, beef, and chicken. Also, what’s great is that the menu is slightly different each time. There are a few staple dishes available, but for the most part they dishes rotate: as far as what I’ve seen. A few items that I love to get here are: –Beef Igado(?) –Bangus fish(Milkfish) –Dilis(small fried fish) –BBQ chicken kabob –Kare Kare(meat in a peanut butter curry) –Adobo(slow cooked meat) –bistec(beef steak) –Bihon pancit(thick noodle-like chow mein) –Their house soup, which comes free when you dine in. The most recent thing I ate was the Igado, bangus, dilis, pancit, and house soup. Beef Igado is just a beef with some gravy. To me, it tastes slightly sweet, but still savory. The beef is nice and soft… very easy to eat. Dilis, one of my favorite items. It’s nice and crunchy, though sometimes you can taste the oil. Typical it’s eaten with vinegar, which is available at the tables(the clear one with chilis on the bottom). Or, if you’re ordering to go, you can ask them for a couple to go as well). Bangus, the milkfish. I like this a lot. This fish tastes really good as it is slightly fried. It has a great texture and the fish, in itself, has a good flavor. Just be careful as there are quite a few bones… unless they have a boneless milkfish available. Pancit. I actually ordered to for my class potluck and my colleagues ate seconds and took some home! Though I forgot to ask if they had lemon available, it was still very good. The vegetables were still nice and crunchy and the noodles absorbed all the flavors. I ordered the one with shrimp, pork and chicken– but you can pick and choose what you want and don’t want in it. Also, this was a catered item, which was a tray that can supposedly serve 8 – 10 people and costs about $ 23. Everyone loved and there was nothing left over. :) The house soup is pretty good and what makes me want to eat in rather than take out. :) It’s kind of like sinigang, but without the veggies and meats in there– though you do see some meat residue floating around. It’s just broth that’s reeeeeaaaalllllyyy sour. So simple, but tastes good! :) I suggest you try it out. You can even try little samples if you’re unsure about what to get or can’t decide on what you want(like me! ^_^) What I typically get is a 2 side combo, which comes with the house soup and a good portion of sticky white rice. Drinks are extra cost, so I just get water. For this, my total is just over $ 5. :)

When i crave Filipino food and I am in my hometown of Covina, this is where I go to get my fix. Their selection is very good and fresh. Everyone is friendly and for 2 entrees, rice and soup you can’t go wrong paying $ 6. They serve crispy fried anchovies(dilis) for $ 7/half pound and is amazing accompaniment to a good cold beer. If you are not Filipino and want to be adventurous, the also sell crispy fried intestine(bulaklak) when dip in spicy vinegar is just to die for. ’til the next beefoodie adventure!
