The waitress was very good! The food was great! I recommend the 2 by four which is 2 grade aa eggs and your choice of pancakes. There’s plenty to choose from. This was my first time but I’ll become a regular here just watch.

The best place to have breakfast in Cincinnati. The wait is worth the wait. I love the small, quaint atmosphere and the pancakes are the best! I wish they would sell their batter so you can enjoy the experience at home!!! If you have room you also have to get the deluxe potatoes– we always share them at our table.

I saw good reviews and so I went today for«brunch” — Ordered crepes with Cherry filling. BOY! DISGUSTINGLYSWEET! The cook should be jailed for loading so much sugar into one dish. I refused to eat! Then ordered«French Crepes». Much better than the Cherry crap. However, this restaurant does not know how to make crepes. By the way– a small glass of orange juice is 3 dollars! WOW!

I heard this place was popular but had never been and didn’t know what to expect. It was very good. The pancakes are HUGE. The service was fast and the coffee was good.

The food is wonderful. Their Dutch baby and bacon is out of this world. However the two times I’ve been there, service has been awful. Food takes forever and so do refills on drinks. Our waitress literally asked how we were doing and then walked away before we could respond. I would understand if they were busy but they’re not. If service improved, I would come here way more often!!! Food is amazing though.

The food was good. Definitely a good meal. The service that we received however was mediocre. I was there for an hour and a half and the waitress, Gina, didn’t offer to refill my water a single time. She did not refill any of our tables drinks. She didn’t check on us at all. In fact when we were still there after an hour she rolled her eyes. We were there probably longer than most patrons but we had a friend in town with whom we were catching up. I believe we will do it elsewhere now.

Be prepared for a big breakfast if you choose to dine here. Their omelets are unique and delicious. Upgrading the pancakes with chocolate chip, bacon or pecans is a great treat. Our server today was really great at refills(a must have for us) and had a great personality. We continually choose to dine here when starting our Saturday with brunch.

I have been to other OPH locations before and had a wonderful experience. This was the total opposite. From the minute we walked in the door to be ignored by the«hostess» with her nose in her phone, through my order being wrong, having to send back my cold and coagulated eggs Benedict that was missing has of the order, my orange juice and butter that were no shows… All of this on top of the table of 6 next to us getting their very similar orders first compared to our train wreck table of two. My fiancé had some great strawberry crepes, and he will probably have then again; just never at this half a**ed West Chester location. An absolute shame to the brand.

My friend and I went to this place for a weekday breakfast, and we absolutely loved it. The service was fast and friendly. The menu was a bit overwhelming with all the yummy-tasting choices. After much deliberation, I got the corned beef hash meal and my friend got the almond French toast with a side of potatoes. For $ 7.50, I got so much food – two eggs, corned beef hash, and 3 buttermilk pancakes. The corned beef hash was cooked how I liked it – a little crispy on the outside. The pancakes were good, but I only finished 1 of them. My friend’s almond French toast was excellent. The bread wasn’t too thick, and the dish was not at all too greasy or heavy. It was perfect. I didn’t think it needed any syrup when I sampled it. The«side» of potatoes was more like a trough of potatoes. We basically left that one untouched because we were so full from the rest of the food. Our only complaint is there isn’t a location closer to us!

One of my favorite breakfast places to eat. This place has it all, pancakes, crepes, Dutch baby’s and the best bacon and eggs at a breakfast spot. Their pancakes are light and fluffy, some of the best I’ve had and the bacon is to die for! Definitely would recommend to anyone who loves breakfast!

The food was decent, but unfortunately, not worth the $$$ and the length of time it took for our food to get served.: /Cleanliness was also a concern. The seats had left over food in the chairs, and we had to send back ALL of the coffee mugs because they were dirty.

Disgusting. We were seated quickly on a Sunday morning at about 9. However, the table was infested with ants, with dead ants inside the sugar bottle. We immediately stood up to signal for a table change, but no one seemed to care. The hostess walked in our direction and grabbed the menus, but the table was not cleaned the sugar remained. We left because we had lost our appetite.

This location is a sad comparison to the one in Dayton, OH. I consistently have a great breakfast there so when I tried this location I expected the same. Sadly everything we ordered was not that hot or tasty. I was really disappointed and unfortunately I’ll just travel to Dayton to satisfy my TOPH cravings =/

I wish we could give ½ stars so I could give 3.5 stars but I’ll settle with 3. They are great for breakfast but you MUST get there early or suffer through the narrow hallway wait for a really long time. My family & I got there just before the morning rush around 8:15 — 8:30& were promptly seated. This is our second time going there. On my first visit I ordered the bacon waffle & it was so good. This time I got the bacon pancakes so I could compare them. I would have to say the hands down favorite was the bacon waffle. They should really say chunks of bacon are in the batter & not bits b/c the pieces are large. No need to order a side of bacon. Overall, it was a good experience. Our waiter was friendly, always made sure there was coffee in our cups & made sure we had everything. Aside from the coffee cups having a little gunk in them, and the cup of ice water, it was ok. The food is good but not epic but I will return & would recommend it to others. Next time, I’m sticking with my bacon waffle.

I realize the name has the word ‘pancake” in it, but the pancakes are hardly the best menu item. The waffles are the true showstoppers! They are the most amazing waffles I have ever had in my life. You don’t even need to order anything else. Just the delicious, warm, crispy, and fluffly waffle. I can admit that this place isn’t perfect. I’ve found that the staff is a little flighty and others are just plain rude. The prices are very high and there aren’t many breakfast combos. Two people can easily walk out with a $ 35 bill which is ridiculous for breakfast. If you stop in on a weekend you’ll have a very long wait. Even with all the negatives, it’s worth it. The food is excellent and I just keep coming back!

I really want to like this place, as it seems a local favorite. However every time I’ve gone has been a disappointment. The wait is always incredibly long and seems unnecessary due to the amount of tables available. Don’t bring anyone that needs to sit while they wait, because the huge hallway you wait in only provides one bench. The hostesses are obviously bored and disinterested in providing any type of customer service, and the waitstaff is rushed and impersonal. Also, the food has always come out lukewarm and is mediocre. I gave it several tries and unfortunately have to say that this place is a pass.

Great food but the front of the house is horrible. The girls at the hostess stand are unfriendly and too busy texting on their phones and socializing. They don’t dress appropriately(always in leggings and boots) and obviously were never taught the basics of customer service(smiling, making eye contact, saying thank you, etc). If you can make it past them the food is excellent.

There was a bit of a wait, but I expected that on a Sunday morning. Service was awesome and the food just as good. I had basics… bacon, eggs, and pancakes. The scrambled eggs were perfect… the bacon was thick and oh so tasty… the pancakes were fluffy and tasty. If I lived in the area, I would certainly be a regular.

Great place for breakfast/lunch that has lots of options and large portions. Good place for groups and the wait time isn’t too bad on weekends. Make sure to come very hungry or you’ll be leaving with leftovers. The pancakes and crepes are so good here. You can find some pretty unique flavors and menu options here.

My husband LOVES this place. I’m fairly ambivalent. I decided to try the Dutch Baby, which is one of their specialties. It is huge. But not for me. Too egg-y for my tastes. Many a year ago, my husband used to visit a Chicago location of this restaurant for their Mandarin Crepes, and this is what he was here to have today. Again, he loved them; I found them too egg-y. In conclusion, I know he will drag me back to The Original Pancake House at some point, so I suppose I better just learn to love it. ;-) I will just have to find something that better suits my tastes.
