Didn’t try the hibachi so I feel like I don’t have too much too say about this restaurant since that’s their special. We ordered chicken teriyaki for $ 16, a strip steak for 21 and a roll of sushi for 16. It seems like a lot so I would just go with the whole hibachi experience. More for your buck. Food was alright. 10 stars for the fried rice, 4 for the sushi roll, and 3 for the rest. I would go back there again for their hibachi only. Service and the atmosphere were great! Manager checked on us during our meal so that’s good. Should visit if you never been.

When Japanese restaurants mix sushi with their hibachi bars the outcome is rarely good. However Soho is an exception. Their sushi is of a decent quality and always fresh. Their large group portions of sushi and sashimi have a lot of variety and their rolls are also pretty good. Their regular entrees are okay. Not bad not great. The sake is just okay but they do have a nice variety of cocktails. The ambience of the restaurant is quite elegant as well. Just ask them to put you in the main room. An overall good dining experience.

Bottom line it’s a Japanese grill. However the food is very good. Ten of us went for a birthday dinner. Had a good mix of sushi and hibachi. The staff is very friendly and engaging. Another plus is: they do a great job of separating the hibachi grills and the regular restaurant tables. There is a very nice indoor waterfall/pond stocked with koi to distract and entertain the kids in case dinner goes too long.

Food was pretty good. The service was really bad! Our server was rude and seemed mad that she had to take a large table(of 9 people) she was not friendly and when I asked her a question about the menu she answered with attitude and sarcasm like I should know the menu and the answer already.

I’ve been to SoHo many times for both Hibachi and Sushi. I absolutely love Hibachi, the portions are generous and its never a fail with the filet. I’ve ordered an array of Sushi rolls, never been disappointed with the Oceans 11 sushi boat which is fantastic(45 pieces). The only reason why I didn’t rate SoHo 5 out of 5 stars is the service, the wait is long even with reservations and it always seems short staffed there. One more note, the smoke from the hibachi grill area travels throughout the restaurant, so if you’re planning on going out afterwards, bring perfume with you. Overall a great place for dinner celebrations and girls nights.

One of the best hibachi restaurants in the city. Never have a problem with the food!

I don’t know about the other reviews for sketchy service, but there was a problem with the grill not being turned on at the right time causing a delay in our order. David the manager came out and personally saw to us including free beer refills and sushi! He explained the problem on top of providing a time line for a solution. The food was excellent and the temptation roll with sweet potatoes was a brilliant original! I don’t travel to Cincy often, but when I do, I will seek this place out for either great sushi, hibachi service or both.

Great atmosphere and service. But food is lower expectations. Tom Yum sip didn’t have lemongrass and mushrooms, no lime juice or cilantro(big pieces of red and green pepper instead), wasn’t sour at all. Tasted more like siracha soul from some grocery. Tuna tataki wasn’t fried or heated at all. Sushi was nothing special but pricey. Will try this place again to see if we are wrong, but TomYum was a great disappointment.

Very good Japenese food and sushi. Had the steak and shrimp and it was fantastic. My son has the lobster and that too was very good. The hibachi grill master was fun and entertaining. A great place for a family dinner. This is a higher end dinner than what you would typically expect in a Japanese resturaunt. Food quality and service are both very good.

I think I will settle on 3 stars for this location after multiple visits. The food is spot on — great sushi. The ambiance is great, but I really just can’t get over the service. It shouldn’t take someone 5 minutes to come over and greet a table when there are 7 servers just standing around. Even if it’s not your table you go over and say Hi. It’s called teamwork. Otherwise, my last visit was pleasant. Service was great when someone finally came over and the sushi was fresh and delicious as always.

This is one the better sushi restaurants in Cincinnati. The place is split with hibachi on one side and sushi on the other. The décor is nice and is inviting for both groups and a date night. Our server was great. She brought us fresh wasabi which was very good. We had four rolls: JG, Mango Tango, Jobu, and Volcano. All were very delicious! The Mango Tango and JG were our favorites. The Jobu was good, but was a lot smaller than the other rolls. Instead of 8 servings, it only had 5. The Volcano was good too, but a little heavy on the cream cheese. If you’re a wine lover, they have a pretty reasonable wine selection too. Overall, it is one of our favorite sushi spots in Cincinnati and will be added to the«rotation».

Last month I was in West Chester for two weeks and dined at Soho twice during my visit. Both times were a testament to the great food. During the first visit our waitress was less than friendly but for my second visit I sat at the hibachi grill and the waitress was very kind and helpful. The hibachi chef was fantastic! He was very skilled and friendly, which is exactly what I and family look for in a hibachi chef. The owner stopped by twice to ask about our meal. I had sushi both times I was there, equally delicious both times. If you are looking for an all encompassing Asian restaurant look no further. Soho has hibachi grills, sushi bar, and an extensive menu filled with great dishes. Soho does not disappoint.

Their food and presentation is fine. But service is really bad. They kept us waiting 20mins to order, and took more than an hour for the food. We were just sitting there, even there was no one to fill our drinks…

The sushi at Soho is phenomenal! The Heaven Roll was to die for! So rich, creamy and spicy. all at the same time. We had thee BEST server. Her name is Kerstyn. So attentive and a gorgeous smile. She was completely honest and let me know what she thought that I would like, since I’m not a complete sushi conasaur. Boy was she right. Best waitress and sushi EVER!!! Will be back :)

Oh my! We came in for a late dinner around 9:30pm, tired from a day of shopping and a late wine & canvas class. We decided on hibachi, and it was very good. Our chef was very funny and definitely kept us occupied. He would squirt sake in our mouths and the table would count to see how long we could go. Us 4 girls didn’t get very far(13 I think!), but the table next to us was having a roaring time. After multiple rounds of sake bombs, they made it past 60 on the counting sake game. Wowsa. The hibachi was excellent, and I really preferred it to my sister’s sushi order that she placed. It is definitely a lively place, and most of the staff strives to entertain the guests. I would definitely go back again.

We had takeout while in town. I called in the order, it was taken down correctly and was told to come by in about 20 minutes. When I arrived(at closing) it was completely empty… on a Friday. The facilities looks beautiful and very inviting. When I came in, no one attended to me, and workers pretended like they did not see me until I made sure to catch someone’s attention. Later the manager brought out our sushi and we were out. The food was very fresh and full of flavor. Don’t expect gourmet sushi here, but do expect very fresh fish. The prices are pretty reasonable.

Soho is one of my families favorite restaurants. I had never been, but they always rave about it, specifically the rice. We went for lunch and chose to do the hibachi grill side of the restaurant. With your order, you get soup, salad, and the main dish of rice, meat/protein, and vegetables. The soup is a beef base, so I had a soy based soup, which was pretty good. The salad is your typical hibachi grill salad… I ordered the chicken and my sister ordered the scallops. The chicken was a little bland, but add a little yum-yum sauce and you’re good to go. The rice was really good and I took my sisters suggestion and added yum-yum sauce to it and it was even better. The yum-yum sauce is the key to their food! We also ordered the cucumber sushi roll. It was good, but not much different than other locations. I had leftovers and ate them for dinner. Although Soho isn’t my favorite restaurant, it definitely is good and I would go back if my family wanted to go.
