Jos A Banks Clothiers

I am going to a wedding in Florida next weekend and my wife decided it was time to update my summer clothes. I am NOT a big fan of clothes shopping, but she had bought sweaters for me at this Jos A Banks a few years ago and decided that’s where we should shop. It turned into a great experience! The two sales folks were Pamela and Dana, and they were very helpful to both my wife and myself. I had the easy part: putting on the jackets and pants that my wife picked out. When my wife decided that I needed to get a jacket in a particular style with a color that was not in the store, Pamela spent a lot of time on the internet finding what we (ie, the wife) needed! Did I mention it was «buy one jacket, get the second jacket and two pairs of pants free» sale? We spent more than the wife had budgeted, but got a great deal! And the alterations will be done by the time we get on the plane for Marco Island. I highly recommend this store, including Pamela and Dana!

They have great deals and the suits are exactly what we were looking for but it takes hours to get taken care of. With three employees working and only my group in the store none of the other employees helped us and it took 3 hours to buy six suits. This experience could have been entirely different and pleasant if the store were managed in a way that encouraged teamwork. I hope we just came on a bad day otherwise I don’t know how much longer this establishment will be able to remain open.

We stopped in at Joseph Banks last Thursday afternoon to find my boyfriend a new pair of slacks to wear to a wedding that Friday… a little last minute, but we were hopeful.
Joseph Banks happened to be running a promotion of «buy one, get one free» pants, so I called my dad (who is the store’s biggest fan) and he came running down to meet us and get a good deal.
The employee that helped us grabbed my boyfriend’s sports coat and started pairing it with different pants until he had found the optimum pair. Unfortunately, the slacks that looked stunning with the jacket were not «ready-​to-​wear,» they needed to be hemmed. We asked if there was any chance they could be hemmed before the store closed that evening but the employee told us the tailor was leaving as we spoke. He stopped us and ran to the back and five minutes later returned and said «go put them on so we can measure, they’ll be done in less than an hour.» Great!
45 minutes later we were called back to the store and my dad and boyfriend went in on an order together and got two pairs of nice dress slacks for $ 50 each! Not a bad deal at all. Great service and great clothing, I bought a cool pink and navy striped tie for my boyfriend while we were there.
