Just another sports bar in my opinion… The food was average(I had grilled chicken wrap). The enviroment was nicer than a BW3’s and had lots of TVs. I did not drink but I noticed they had a decent selection of micro brew beers on tap. The service is really why I gave this a 3 star review. We were having lunch and it seemed like a normal lunch crowd. After some confusion 3 people came up to our table at different times saying they were taking care of us. Ultimately we ended up waiting about 10 minutes or so before someone even took a drink order. I would go again but this would not be my first choice…

Come quite often in Thursday’s for the $ 3 beer special but outside of that nothing to really be excited for. Always poor, slow service– especially when seated at the bar. And if you can’t serve chicken fingers at room temperature at least that’s a problem. Cold to the touch when served and nobody asked one time if things were okay. About as bad as it gets– probably zero star worthy to be honest.

We had a large group(16!!) and the service was great. Food was very good and we had plenty for all to enjoy. We will be back for sure.

Absolutely poor wait staff and more of a poor manager on duty. I ordered a beer with appitizers. After that was gone I ordered a different beer with dinner. Moments before my dinner arrived I was told the beer I ordered wasn’t available and the waitress left again before I could pick another beer. My food arrived and the runner/manager asked if I needed anything else, to which I responded I still need a beer. Her answer was she’d get my waitress and she ran off! I actually left my food sit and walked to the bar to order and pay for a beer and retuned to my cold meal. Then on top of it all, the waitress stiffed me .73 cents in my change when I paid my bill. So she got a penny for a tip. The restaurant was only 1⁄3 full. No excuse for such non existant service.

I really want to like this place but unfortunately I don’t. The menu is actually pretty great. Lots to choose from. I have eaten here many times over the years and they keep updating it so that makes me want to come back. However, the service is almost always very very slow. Long time to order long time to get food. The food is mostly ok but often times the service makes it so that some dishes aren’t the freshest. Basically all they need to do is fix the service and my stars increase because I like the menu and food and sometimes the beer options.

I have been going here for years. And it definitely has been steadily going down hill based on food quality options and prices. Nothing is a great deal when it comes to food it is all over priced also nothing stands out on the menu. There’s nothing on the menu you can’t get at another restaurant for the price. The positives are are the location and the happy hour… 3 – 6:30 for 3 dollar local craft beers is pretty good. Although I did order a small coors during happy hour and it was 4 dollars I was shocked that a small domestic was cheaper than the crafts. Also one of the craft beers I ordered rang up 4 dollars not 3 on my bill luckily I caught it. I think the waiter I had knew of the slip up but served the bill anyway. She was quick to make the adjustment. But something tells me she tried to slip it by and knew of the mistake without fixing it(she said it’s happened before? Then why not check?). the service all in all was not very tentative and right before happy hour was closed I tried to order a beer but she was sitting at a table with another worker. I went ahead and went to the bar to get in my order in…

Was here for a quick lunch. I had the Cobb salad, and wife had a wedge salad. The service was efficient, and the food came out quickly. My salad did not have a lot of egg in it, but I guess this is a sign of the times with the costs of eggs going through the roof. It did have chicken, beacon, blue cheese, and all of the trimings, except for corn. The server kept our drinks filled, and all of that. We were promptly seated, orders taken, food served, and were out in less than 45 minutes — which was great given we time constraints. Good food, good service, and a reasonable price. Not a bad combination.

Huaband and I were up in the burbs running some errands today and stopped by Champps to grab a quick salad. We entered the restaurant at 12:30 and didn’t get out until 2:15!!! We each orders a salad! I got my food before the iced tea I ordered. We got straws as we were wrapping up lunch after asking a couple of times. The biggest issue is obviously the service at this location and would explain why on a Sunday afternoon they were mostly empty. On top of the bad service, the fire alarm went off… Why? Not because of a fire, because the line cook over oiled a pan(it’s an open kitchen concept so you can see on and watch them cool) and shot a huge puff of smoke up into the duct work. Instead if telling anyone what happened he let everyone run around like crazy and try to figure out why re alarm was going off. The crème de la crème of the entire experience was the crushed food all over the floor that none of the 25 teenagers working could be bothered to sweep up. Bottom line, Champps is losing!

I really wished I read the reviews before eating here. Nice selection of games and beer, so if that is what you want you’re good to go. However, the service stinks, the bartender is surly, and the food is awful. Fries were cold, burger was a mess… If you want better service at a sports bar, I highly recommend crossing the highway and eating at Buffalo Wild Wings.

If you would like a cold steak for $ 26.00 that is the place to go! It says my review was to short. REALLY The food should have been at least warm!

What a disappointment. The BBQ Rib sauce had too much vinegar; the French Onion soup was too salty, the garlic mashed potatoes were mostly garlic and the burger was JTM– just a touch of meat. But, the food was still MUCH better than the service.

Before my last trip to IKEA, I figured I needed find somewhere to have lunch, so I scoped out Champp’s without first checking Unilocal. There wasn’t much to choose from in the area. It was either this or IKEA food. You know which I chose because here I am writing this review. It’s an upscale sports bar. There were a lot of families having lunch too. After we were seated at the table, it took at least 10 minutes to get our drinks… That’s never a good sign. Oh well, I was hungry and there was IKEA in sight, I was remaining positive. I ordered the chicken nachos and my daughter got her usual cheese burger. The male waiter who will remain nameless, asked me if I wanted guacamole and I asked if I could substitute it for sour cream and he said yes. My mile high nachos came out cold, without the guacamole and very little chicken. But I’m not exaggerating when I say that it was about a bag of chips. The only reason I’m giving it three stars is because my daughter loved her burger, so they do something right. Since I ordered an appetizer as my meal, I assume it was ready before her burger and while they were left sitting to be served along side of the burger, they got cold. Just an assumption… After we finished, I had to track down the nameless waiter to request the bill, remember that I had IKEA on the agenda and I was ready to get going. When I got the bill and noticed that I was charged for the guacamole, all I could do was shake my head.

I have been here several times to watch various sporting events in the last year. The food is just okay and the service is TERRIBLE. I could go into a ton of detail about the awful experiences I have had but will just give one example. I was there for a World Cup game and we ordered an appetizer and meals. Even though we were clearly there to watch the game which was still in the first half, and the restaurant was practically empty, and we wanted to order dessert, our server brought over our check while we were still eating. Once we finished eating I paid and the server came over immediately to retrieve the receipt. We stayed for another hour to watch the game and were never approached again. Our drinks were never refilled. No one asked if we wanted anything else. Like I said– there was practically no one else in the restaurant and many servers available. There are many other restaurants in the area. I wanted to give this one another try because it does have good prices and a lot of TVs but I will not waste any more money here.

I want to like these places. They have great atmosphere, usually good service, great selection of beers on tap, but the food usually BLOWS. Great place to meet someone for a drink… eat before you go.

This place used to be really good. Times change. Service was poor. Waited too long for food. Steak salad steak was tough and stringy. Also the steak was not cooked as order but after the first long wait, I just kept it. Had three different servers who didn’t appear to communicate with each other. Got the check about halfway through the meal. Ask for some ice because my water didn’t have any. Never did get it from server. Finally walked to the bar to ask for some. Bartender looked directly at me, said nothing and walked outside the building. I was about to get it myself when a bar area server finally did get it. Did I mention the place was not very busy at all?

While eating at Champp’s in Beckett Ridge, the bottom fell out of a soda glass the waitress was serving. Total freak accident. Everyone’s clothes were in need of washing, we had to move tables, and one meal needed to be replaced. This was in no way the server’s fault and she apologized profusely. The manager came over to help and seemed annoyed that he had to deal with it. He took the one meal off the check that had to be replaced, but did not compensate the other people. We all had to go home, change, and wash our clothes. Although the food was great and our server was wonderful, we have had ongoing trouble with this manager and will not be returning until he is replaced.

I really didn’t know what to think of this place at first. It is very nice in side. Wide open area clear shot viewing to about any TV in the whole place. The staff was great. There was nothing to complain about with the food. It was fast for a sit down place and very good for a chain. They have a rewards program and just by signing up you get the first burger for free. I could see this place being where I go after a movie.

This place isn’t quite sure what it wants to be… Sports bar? Restaurant? Neighborhood pub? it definitely has an identity crisis, but thats really all thats wrong with it! Our server was a lot of fun after the initial contact. I was a little worried and started to believe the other reviews, but she turned out to be pretty awesome! They have their own rewards card, that gives you a free burger when you sign up! I think that might have made her grumpy at first, but like i said she was excited about it later. So i got the burger, and it was pretty massive! Filled me up no problem. The fries were decent as well. Now i will agree that the food is a little overly salted here… on kind of everything… if thats a problem, i’d state no salt up front. The food came out in a decent manner… It wasn’t quick, but again, for a sit down restaurant, it was less than 20 minutes. The drinks were strong, and good. They have tons of beers on tap, and even more tv screens if you’re wanting to catch a game. All in all, not a bad little place!

Champps is your typical suburban sports bar, and really, if you have been to one, you have been to them all. Located in the Streets of West Chester plaza, Champps is dare I say, a ritzier version of a Bdubs or something of the sort. Yes, they have wings, but their food menu also offers up a lot of entrees that you would not be able to find at one of their wing house counterparts. However, I have never actually here, so I cannot comment on the quality of the food. Although I have not eaten at Champps, I have drank at champs a few times now and have been pleasantly surprised with the beer selection thus far. They keep Harpoon IPA on tap, and that makes me a happy camper. Too often suburban bars like this one don’t even know what an IPA is, let alone serve one. During both my visits here, there was a UFC fight happening, and my drinks were brought to me in a pretty quick and orderly fashion considering the crowd, which brings me to my next point. If you are looking to catch a UFC fight, this place seems to have a better handle on it than Bdubs. The service is quicker, it is easier to get seated, and easier to get out at the end of the night. All and all, not a bad place to grab a drink.
