Marina Seafood and Wings

As with many people with new restaurants, we were a little apprehensive to try Marina Seafood and Wings. So, tonight we decided to give it a test. Upon entering we were greeted very kindly. We were asked if it was our first time there and he was gracious to go thru the menu and the specials. We decided on the Wings, Catfish and Whiting. We placed our order and it was explained to us that it would be about ten minutes because it would be made fresh. We didn’t want the fries with our Special and they were more than generous with their their offering to make up the difference. The wings do not come coated, but they do offer multiple sauces. We got home, the food was still fresh and hot. First, the fish fillets were larger than expected. Each style of fillet had its own unique flavor. The Catfish had a buttery texture. The Whiting was light with a peppery seasoning. Both were cooked perfectly. The seasoning and texture of the wings were unique to this restaurant and really do not require sauce even though different flavors of sauce are offered. As to the reviews of a few bones being found within the fish fillets, I can honestly say that I have never had frozen fish with bones in it. Also, they do not have a drive thru as it is made to order. You can call a head, even if it is for a business lunch, you can place your order and it will be ready at the window for pick up in a half hour or less. I would highly recommend having a meal from Marina. You get a lot for your money. P. S. To the owners, the T.V. was a little loud and distracting… how about some authentic music that fits with your restaurant. The added touch was that the cook came out to greet us as we were leaving. Very nice touch, I might add. P. S.S. Please add a Tuesday Special of fresh grilled Michigan White fish!

I went there thinking I’d be disappointed but I was pleasantly surprised. I got the lunch special which includes a fillet of catfish, tilapia, or whitefish I believe and two chicken tenders/​wings, fries and cole slaw for $ 5. I ordered the catfish and It was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The fish and chicken was very juicy and the spicing was just right. The fries were delicious and the cole slaw was average. I got an order of wings which are the full wings and they were juicy and very good as well. Will definitely be making a return visit!

Major disappointment after having read the reviews and knowing friends and family who have eaten here and enjoyed it. The whiting filets and nuggets were fishy and had so many small bones I threw most of it away. Chicken and shrimp were so-​so, nothing to come back for. My wife and I agree we’d rather have Long John Silver’s or even Gorton’s. Definitely won’t go back.

Large portions great deal for the price the catfish filet was very good cooked to order not soggy chicken strip very juicy and plump fries were good but average great take out dining room is small still has the taco bell booths and seating

Had to try this place. I was sorry I did. It was the absolute worst food I have ever had. The fish tasted like catfish or carp caught locally .yum… and the skin was left on for that added fisheyness. The wings were only a little better. I doubt this place will be open for long unless they learn how to cook. My friend had the cheesesteak no complaints but nothing special. Wanted to love this place. Come on people try harder.

Hmmmm, Well they are a new business… But. My experience was hopefully an oversight. Fish had a freezer burnt flavor (whiting). The shrimp were great for a «Fast Food» type restaurant. steer clear of the greens (Yeah I know, should’ve known better) Unless you like boiled collards with a shot of tabasco. Service was fast and friendly. Keep in mind they are a new establishment. Menu is inaccurate, and im still concerned about the freezer burnt fish, so this is obviously a pre-​battered and fry type seafood stop.
