The hubby and I ventured out here on a random weekend off. He found the place online and it looked interesting. We are always looking for new places to hike, so off we went… It is quite the drive, so it loses one star there. The area itself is well maintained and pretty cool to trek through. The trails are very short and non-strenuous…which is great if you are traveling with kids or animals, but not so great if you are trying to escape from other people’s kids or animals(this is why it loses the second star). There are some neat little rock structures and(semi)caves and such which you can climb around and on. We had a picnic lunch on a large rock ledge overlooking the small pond. It was very relaxing and refreshing on a cool fall day. The terrain is very flat and we were able to make it through all the trails in about an hour. We would go back, but only if we have to accommodate children. Until then, we’ll be hunting for longer, more exercise inducing trails.
