Such a dive and food is really average. Still, it’s a great, cheap neighborhood place and the service is really great.

We go to Fredas quite a bit and we ALWAYS have a great meal in a pleasant environment. The homemade soups are fantastic! Their pizza is amazing. Attentive and friendly waitstaff. Ask for a Lemonchello Razz Martini, you won’t be disappointed.

One of my favorite restaurants. Food is always great and service is always spot on. Can get loud at times but who cares when your meal is this good.

Tried first time and was very Happy as was my dinner mate. Cozy little place with great wine menu… little on the pricy side but if I don’t get a bad meal then I’m happy to pay a couple bucks over average.

I have been back here many times and I have to say I get impressed each time I return. I’ve tried so many different meals and each time the food is great. The pasta tastes great. The vegetables are very fresh tasting. I really like the pizza. I usually prefer a thinner crust… but I like that the crust is crispy and buttery. Its a great change than what I’m used to. Try the green bean appetizer… I think I’m addicted.

Walking through the door was like taking a step back into the mid 1970’s. Not that it was old, just classic. Almost frozen in time. Leather covered booths. Pine covered barn board on the walls. Comfortable and welcoming. Feels like someone’s home. Nice bar, seats about 12. Here on an early Saturday afternoon for lunch. Maybe a dozen patrons so not too busy. Ordered the beef burgundy over fettucini lunch special. Sauce was delicious, pasta cooked just right. Some of the beef was tender but most of the pieces were over cooked and dry. Service was ok but nothing out of the ordinary. In fact I had to ask for more water and the check. Overall the atmosphere was fine, the food just mediocre but the service poor. I won’t be back to Freda’s(even if that was my grandmothers name!) anytime soon.

Very busy environment on a Friday night, ordered a Bud light got an Ice Tea. Just kept it, must have been the drinking gods. Onion rings– best we have had in a long time and we do have a lot of experience eating and we are somewhat long in the tooth. Friendly waitress, great salad, bread and Pork something was very good. O back to that ice tea, it did have a bit of a funny taste. Somewhat hard to locate using GPS keeps wanting to send you to Brockton.

This place continues to slide, so much so I won’t be back. On a recent trip the entire experience start to finish was BAD. The greeters, young girls don’t smile and just say how many, then lead us away without another word, strike one POOR greeting. The service itself was sporadic and slow. There were plenty of spaces in the parking lot and empty tables so no need for slow service. I got the Minestrone soup and it is more like pasta sauce all tomato with a little bit of pasta, our table also got chicken fingers that were just OK. one in the party got pizza and thought it was OK, another got Fajitas, it was all oil and salt, poorly seasoned and executed. They said probably the worst they had ever tasted. I got a special a turkey dinner plate. The whole plate was just warm enough to eat, I almost sent it back but decided to eat with my party rather than wait. The gravy was dark dark brown and only tasted of salt and too much at that, the potatoes were like paste and the skins that were mixed in were like sheets of paper, they were not palatable. After finishing we all sat with dirty dishes infront of us for too long, out water was never refilled. But they did ask us if we wanted another round of drinks. We did order coffee and had to wait for it and it was only lukewarm. Everything start to finish was average to very well below.

Freda’s is always a good consistent place to go. The pizza is probably the best thing on the menu. Everything is always above average. Prices are typical. I wouldn’t say the place is gourmet but it’s good.

1st time here. The outside of the place is nondescript. With the exception of the sign you wouldn’t know it to be a restaurant. Inside interior was older but cared for. The waitstaff was friendly & attentive, overall, a nice family restaurant. The stuffed Quahog was delicious! Lots of clam & has a good kick the way it should. The Clam Chowder was OK. It was thick, chunky, and not overcooked but I thought it was a bit bland. The boneless buffalo strips were crispy but the sauce had an uncharacteristic sweetness that I could have done without. My wife got the swordfish, it was great. HUGE portion of fish but still amazingly tender and very tasty. I would come back just for this. I opted for the tuna salad sandwich w/fries as I was getting quite full by this point. The sandwich was good though the bread tasted a little dry. The fries were cooked well with the proper crispness. Beer selection was OK, mostly standard offerings. Though they did have Rapscallion, I would have liked to see more beers from the region. Bottom line, I’m looking forward to comeback again.

Went last night, should have know by the absence of cars in the parking lot that something was wrong. My steak tips were more like stew beef. The waitress was miserable! The cook came out to get a drink and was covered in grease and grime. Not a good experience…

It was a cute place for cinco de mayo. However the crowd was around my parent’s age(50’s) and the band was soooooo loud!!! But we had a good time. I recommend dessert. I can’t remember what I got but it was chocolatey and gooey. After reading the reviews I wish I would have gotten the pizza!

I went to Freda’s on a Thursday nite with a friend. The atmosphere was pleasant and comfortable. My friend ordered the Chicken Broccoli Alfredo which she enjoyed, and I had the Prime Rib which was very good. I also got 2 pizza’s to go, hamburg & roasted red peppers and a linguica and mushroom. Excellent pizza ! The service was great with a very attentive waitress with all the running around she was doing. I decided on Freda’s because of the great reviews on Unilocal and I wasn’t disappointed. Highly recommended and will go back again.

A townie hot spot. I don’t consider myself or my b/f a local, but this is definitely a local favorite for very good reason. The place looks a bit shabby on the outside, but inside its welcome and has a homey feel. The service wasn’t over the top. The menu was full of comfort food, the portions were great and the price even better. I’d recommend it to anyone for a quick bite to eat or even some appetizer and a pint.

To be honest, I usually avoid anything at Freda’s that doesn’t have dough, sauce, and cheese. Not that their menu is bad by any means, rather, how can you pass up on pizza this good! I have always been a Cape Cod Pizza guy, but truth be told, Freda’s is surely in contention for best local pizza. One pie that is unlike any out there is the Buffalo Chicken. Real grilled chicken with sauce that has ‘just the right kick.’ Pair with a side of their cool blue cheese dressing and you’re on cloud 9. Great for take-out, but dining in is fine as well. Very cozy atmosphere and great servers. The owner has always visible and seems like a good guy. Prices are somewhat on the higher end. Simply put: Freda’s is a local gem and absolutely worth a visit.

Another visit to this establishment. Nice and quiet so we knew we would enjoy ourselves. The server, Michelle(with two l’s) was very nice and efficient. We got the scallops wrappes in bacon, homemade and yummy, and the stuffed mushrooms. Both of us started off with our usual drinks, me a riesling, him a Bud Light. For dinner, I wanted the mussles bianco, a Sunday Special, and he got the prime rib, another sundau special, served with three sides. We ordered extra rolls since they were soo good. My mussels were diving with plenty of garlic and his prime rib was succulent he said. We ordered another round of drinks for dinner. I got the milky way martini and he got a dark and stormy. This was a nice dinner experience
