I had the pasta and the steak last time. Hubby had the Salmon. All very tasty. Ate at the bar both times. Great service from Miah and others each time. Great repurposed décor inside. Give it a try. Great specialty drinks. Cucumberoska is my new favorite. Enjoy!

We went there with another couple for a Monday night meal. Unlike previous reviewers, we found the food to be terrible. The specialty salads were overpriced and meager, tasteless, and filled with anything but conventional greens. We all ordered their French onion soup, which arrived tepid and tasted like they came from a can. As a longtime bartenders I believe the drinks(mine was scotch on the rocks) were watered down. The entrees we ordered were again poorly prepared and not worth half the money. We won’t return.

Favorite place to eat in West Bend. Everyone I have taken there, from senior citizens to teenagers have liked it. I first went because it has a great gluten free menu. I keep going because the food, service, and atmosphere is so awesome. We have loved every meal we’ve had here! Owner is great and helps out local schools also.

The outside, not so charming… But, walk in… It’s great! They have an awesome beer list and the menu has a perfect variety. My burger was yummy and everyone at the table really liked there food too. The service was A+! If it wasn’t an hour drive for me, I’d be there often!

Their patio is beautiful in the summer! If they have their grilled cheese sandwiches on special, you have to try them!

We went on a Monday night for supper. Service was friendly, the décor was modern and welcoming. We each had a cup of the french onion soup as an appetizer. At first, I thought the dish it came in was a little pretentious. After my first sip, I realized it was justified in being pretentious. The soup was delicious, down to the very last drop. Supper was chicken penne pasta and a buffalo chicken sandwich. The pasta was delicious; great sauce complimented with good cheese and fresh spinach. The sandwich was lightly fried before being spun in the buffalo sauce; it gave it a great texture. The service was friendly, and very attentive. I also really liked the great selection of beers. We will definitely be back again!

Really like their beer selection and outdoor seating. The menu is a little bit limited, hence four stars instead of five. But the food they DO have is great. My favorite dish is the mushroom risotto with pork cutlets. I’d recommend Tap+Tavern to anyone visiting West Bend, or for a local who just wants a great meal served by friendly people.

Décor is very nice but the name suits it… we arrived around 6 on a Friday night and lots of tables were open. …the staff h he’s some training. We say at our table for 15 min and no one approached is not even with water or a friendly hi dating I’ll be right there. My son finally asked the hosts to send someone and she came back with the response that our waitress would be here shortly. Not a great start to our first experience there. the hosts did come back then with water. A young brunette finally came over and asked if we were ready to order. No name. No apology. No specials. We ordered drinks and an appetizerand told her to come back for our entrée order. Truthfully I never thought we’d see her again. She did come back with drinks and a short time after with our appetizers(no plates) we ordered mac and cheese balls they were delicious(the only reason we stayed) or entrees were served well except for the baked fish which came out 10 min later dry and absolutely no butter(asked or colorful waitress for some she brought back cold table butter) I must tell you we had to ask for the specials and she described the baked cod with«melted butter» a must. you have to try entrée. We finished our dinner and once again head to ask for a desert menu… in the time that we had to wait to get her attention to ask for them we could have had at least for drinks had she come back to check her table. This business is really losing money because of their wait staff… what could have been a hour and a half meal took 3. So I would suggest retraining!

Nice spot! This is a nice airy space, with lots of room(at least when we went!). Nice beer selection(I think they had 10 taps), but at this place, the food is the story. Everything we tried tasted great. Most important, don’t miss the duck fat fries. My one criticism… no foot rail on the bar! What? Do they not realize that this is Wisconsin? Since my wife is short, we had to forgo our normal bar spots and go for a table instead. That knocks off a star, so 4 is the best you are going to get until you bring up your bar hardware to the local standard!

I appreciate the different ingredients and non-traditional Wisconsin fare. Not every meal is perfect and certain plates could be spicier, like the fish tacos. I do definitely recommend trying this place out.

I’m from a small town, much like West Bend, WI. There is a decent amount of local businesses in this town, but not many push the envelope with cuisine. While this establishment is quite cookie cutter to many of its predecessors in other larger cities, this place really does hammer the nail on the head. It had a sleek rustic-modern look with some re-appropriated salvaged signs and clocks. This place would’ve been a great subject for open duct-work. Maybe was not allowed by building code. There are a few TV’s at low to no volume at the bar and the bathrooms are clean and tastefully decorated. My brother and I showed up around shift change. It was very quiet. One couple was finishing up and staff were going over provisions and prep for the rest of the night. As soon as we walked in, the host hurriedly approached us to seat us immediately. Our server was Tana and she was very good at what she did. I asked for a Bitters and Soda with Lemon. No one has ever asked for that order before so she mistook what I asked for. Being in the service industry it was not a problem for me to get up out of my seat and tell the bartender. They have a decent selection of booze to make a variety of classic cocktails as well as contemporary drinks. They may not be the most versed on the trade, but they have well know prohibition era drinks down. The deviled eggs could use a bit of kick; something spicy… but you can’t ever go wrong with fresh made deviled eggs. I recently had the BBQ Mac and Cheese. De-lish. The Wild Mushroom Risotto was unexpectedly decadent. The risotto was soft yet firm and not over cooked as many places tend to serve. It was a simple a great pairing and the fresh Parmesan on top put it over the edge. This is my second time here and compared to the first time, the Hangar Steak came out great. First time around, it was too well done as well as the veggies. Maybe someone was busy listening to the Green Bay game. This time around however, the steak was cooked on high heat and seared properly in order to keep the moisture in tact. There is nothing worse than an over cooked dry steak. This little gem in the historical halfway point of Fond du Lac and Milwaukee offers many rotating specials each week. They cater to all crowds, seeing that West Bend is a smaller town. WBT&T is a very low key, tasty, and affordable restaurant/bar in the downtown district of the cozy suburb known as West Bend. This place is becoming my go to spot when I go to visit my family up there in the great white north.

I came here about a month or so ago on a Friday. The weather was still nice enough to sit on their outdoor patio which is very cool and has picnic bench style seating and TVs. The menu is a lot like a gastropub but we came here specifically for the fish fry. The fish fry was great. They have a good beer list and their happy hour prices were hard to beat. This is everything a gastropub should be, in a town that perhaps doesn’t value it as much as they should. I’ll certainly be back soon.

Great brunch spot! We came after touring the farmers market. Staff were friendly and attentive! We had purchased a deal breaker deal and of course had to take advantage of the awesome Bloody Mary bar :) This is a must stop of you’re in town on a Saturday morning– or any other day!

I’ll so here’s the deal… The real deal… I’ve been back to the west bend tap twice now since my original review. I was lucky enough to have Zack be my server both times. Zack noticed I was having a glass of wine and asked what I was pairing it with for dinner. REALLY… Ya really… Zack knows good food and if you’re lucky when you visit this restaurant he’ll help you pick out something amazing. This place is a hands down winner. When’s triple D going to review this place? Thanks guys for the world class food and drinks!

I’ve been here three times now. I had a pulled pork sandwich once and the buffalo chicken sandwich twice. I can honestly say that neither of the three times was I blown away. The pulled pork sandwich was bland at best, while the buffalo chicken was pure heat. Some blue cheese or a blue cheese dressing would do wonders for this eternal flaming fireball. The servers seem rushed… even when the restaurant is empty. I’m not sure where they are going, or why they are trying to get there so quickly but perhaps they could attempt tot be a little more personable. The idea itself is trendy. The gastropub is a surprising attempt in West Bend to make a hipster-esque spot. For example, imagine that you had a pig. You could put a leather coat on it and give it some sunglasses, but no matter how hard you try it’s still just a pig trying to be cool. The West Bend tap + tavern is trying too hard to be cool, and at the end of the day, it’s still just in West Bend.

This place is a regular lunch stop for my office. The menu has unique offerings, as does the bar. The food has always been good. I like the design of the place, and the inside waiting room is an open concept. The outside picnic tables are a little bit more cozy. Most of the wait staff and younger, and for the most part friendly, but with youth comes mistakes from time to time. All in all, I’d recommend West Bend Tap + Tavern and I hope it does well.

I really wish I had a better review for this place. It was promising when we first came in. Cute place with outdoor seating was awesome. But that’s as far as awesome goes. Our server wasn’t rude, but she wasn’t very friendly either. She took our drink order right away, and it took almost 30 minutes to get our drinks. There were 6 of us. 3 ordered regular bloody Mary’s and 1 one ordered a Bloody Mary with jalepeno vodka. When it came out, the waitress has no idea which bloody Mary was which. The one she put on front of me happened to be the spicy one, which I found out only after I tried it. Luckily, it was my boyfriend who ordered the spicy, so we just switched drinks. After taking our order, I noticed my breakfast menu was different from the other 5 menus. The waitress said it was a «typo». But it seemed like it may have been discontinued. Regardless I got an updated menu, which had a handful of different options than the one I had. That was kind of a bummer. 5 of us ordered eggs Benedict and I ordered just a simple breakfast.(Eggs, bacon, toast, hash browns). I like eggs, but really only when made sunny side up or over easy. So I ordered them over easy. A staff member came out and told everyone that ordered the eggs Benedict(5 of us) that they couldn’t make them with poached eggs because all of the eggs were cracked. They otherwise had to «go to he store» to get more, uncracked eggs. The cook made them differently. So they were sort of scrambled and placed on top of the muffin. Our food came out an hour after being seated and all of our food was cold. My eggs were not made how I ordered them. They too were scrambled. And cold. The server made 3 trips to being the food out over the course of a few minutes and didn’t bring any silverware out until she brought the last plate out. So the food was getting colder as we wait for our silverware. She brought no condiments(salt, pepper, butter or jelly for my toast) All in all, all 6 of my party(me included) wish we would’ve gone somewhere else for breakfast. The food wasn’t anything to brag about and neither was the service. They were also poorly prepared. I possibly plan on stopping here in the future for dinner. The lunch/dinner menu looked awesome. But if it is anything like I experienced for breakfast, I will never come back. Hopefully this was just a random experience and I can make a better review for dinner.
