McIlwain Family Dentistry & Ahrens Orthodontics

I have three children who have been with McIlwain dentistry for four years. Every dentist we have seen has been professional and friendly as well as the staff. My older son has major dentist anxiety and they are so patient with him and sensitive to his feelings. We have also had two orthodontic consults as my son will need braces and the fact that he can go to the same place is such a plus. Highly recommend the entire practice including the adult side that I now go to.

This is the best dentist in the area, hands down… They are thorough, professional, and they create a great dental experience. the adult dentists are great, and the pediatric dentists are super, too! fantastic office staff! I LOVE the office manager! I would give them MORE than FIVE stars, if I could.

I have not taken my kids here for the pediatric side, as we’re happy with our pediatric dentists, but my husband and I have both been to this practice. I will have to say they are the most thorough of any dentist I’ve ever been to. They talk to you, go over your history, do X-​rays and cleanings, and then follow up with you at the end. Part of the cleaning even included a full gum check, which shows that they know their stuff.
I had only been once and then had a problem with one of my wisdom teeth getting infected. They close this location early on Fridays, but the nurse was able to look at my records and get Dr. Chiaromonte to send me in a script for an antibiotic to start while I tried to get into an oral surgeon. I appreciate them accommodating me.
The office staff is super super super nice. They had billed me for an extra $ 30 that my insurance benefits said was no cost, and I just went in and talked to the woman and she cleared it from my account. They were very patient and also apologetic.

This practice actually makes coming to the dentist enjoyable! The staff is so accommodating, and Dr. McIlwain comes to check on each patient after the cleaning is done.
The Waterlase «water laser» is the easiest way to get a cavity filled (should you have a cavity), and it doesn’t leave the silver crown on your tooth either!
My family will be going here for years to come, and I definitely recommend you give them a call if you’re looking for a new dentist in the area.

My daughter has been coming to. Dr. Mike since 2011. Entire staff extremely friendly & gentle. Hands down the best pediatric dentist we’ve seen. Highly recommend this practice.
