I’ve eaten here twice now with a friend and we both agree that we have had great experiences. The staff was very accomodating and friendly despite our first time there and us being slightly confused. The food was great. We ordered separate pizzas thinking we would bring home extra… nope, we loved them so much we gobbled them all up on our own!!! Definitely will visit again.

third time was the charm for me. The food here is delicious but I won’t be returning. The service here is worse then bad. I’ve visited three times, all with a party of 5 or less. There is no excuse after the third time. First time I figured it was a bad day, second time, same thing, but just my luck. Third time said it all, when I attempted to complain the manager never showed up. Instead, I was given the check.

I have to say after hearing about this place so much on a local FB page we decided to check it out… I must truly say the place was just A-OK. The table service was just slightly sub par which ended up putting and big ding in the rating for this review. Its a shame when your meal tends to be over shadowed but the service. I tend to believe that its not just only the meal that makes the entire dining experience a consumer is looking for. Attention to detail and what the customer ask for makes a large part of what makes up the twenty plus percent tip received at the end of an enjoyable meal. It truly stinks when customers ask for little things that they know will make their meal and never get them. Anyways on to the pizza… We ended up going with your basic NYC style margahrita pizza and boy was it the highlight of the meal!!! The flavor was spot on making something so simple so tasty… I have to say it even had that NYC snap/crunch to the crust on every bite which made it perfect. Overall I probably will return but for take out the next time, but that shouldn’t stop you from making up your own mind and trying it…

Definitely can see based on previous reviews where the service could be questionable as the places was barely half full and it was a little chaotic behind the counter but plenty of wait staff walking around. On this particular day our server was friendly and the other runners helped out as well. The owner was on-site ensuring everything was running well. I had the fire grilled pizza and it was delicious, they have gluten free options as well. Overall great food within a non chain environment.

900 degrees is a prime example of a great pizza place without all of the frills and fanciness pf the big name italian restaurants. We came here tonight and I believe it was the owner/manager who was taking names at the host stand. We were seated in about 20 min(Wiregrass was packed with all of the last minute holiday shoppers!) I had the margherita pizza and my brother had the Americano calzone. The pizza was awesome, fresh mozz and great sauce. The calzone was huge and enough for 3 of us to eat! We’ll be back!

Pizza is nothing to write home about, but the rice balls are Amazing!!! Come here to get rice balls to take home after shopping. Prices are decent. Staff is ok. They tried to make the restaurant more formal than it is. I kind of just want to get a rice ball and a slice of pizza from the counter and have a seat. I don’t feel I need a waiter to do it for me.

My husband and I where shopping at Wiregrass and decided to try this place out. The customer service was dreadful! We were told to have a seat anywhere and someone would be right with us. There was only one other table of patrons and they were cashing out as we were sitting down. It took 15 minutes for us to get the attention of someone to take our order. They were sitting around socializing with each other. I ordered 2 slices of New York style pizza and it was okay. Not bad, not great… just okay. My husband ordered the Chicken Parmesan and it was horrible. The chicken was paper thin and dry, and the sauce tasted as if they simply opened up a can of diced tomato’s and scooped it right out of the can onto the plate. While dining 2 men came in and sat down. After a good 10 minutes of them trying to get the attention of anyone to take their order they got up and walked out. Once they walked out a staff member actually made a sarcastic comment as if they were rude for leaving. The place was nearly empty and I counted a total of 6 staff members(non productively working). I have been told this place was great a yr or so ago. Whatever changed since then it is truly a shame.

Amazing pizza when you eat it hot and fresh there at the restaurant. Love the thin and crispy wood fired pizza. When you take it to go, it’s a completely different experience. The pizza has soggy crust and tastes way too salty.

Good Sicilian Pizza, and the regular thin crust pizza was nice and crispy. We did not like the rice ball but the mozzarella sticks we perfect. Oh and my kids gave the garlic knots two thumbs up. Service wasn’t fast but friendly and food was not the best we had, but best in Wiregrass.

My bf and I had a friendly server who always made sure our drink cups were full and our table was clear of dirty dishes. The food came out really quickly despite it being a Friday evening. The calamari was fine, though I suspect it wasn’t fresh. The pizza we ordered, the Caprese, was delicious and just spicy enough. The crust was very thin and slightly charred in some places, which I needed SO much after having moved to FL about a year ago and not being very impressed overall with local pizza joints. We’ll definitely be returning, and hopefully soon!

I am only going to write the review for the wood fired aspect of the restaurant. It is a simple little pizzeria and pretty close to the real deal from Italia! Have expectation management and understand if you go for the pre-positioned pizza, it will be ok… but the wood fired selection is amazing! They also have Peroni on draft, which is a plus. After you enjoy an authentic wood-fired pizza, treat yourself to a café doppio and gelato at the Café Italiano Café next to this place and it will be an official Italian cuisine day!

I’ve eaten here twice in the past several weeks(and once or twice prior to that), getting pizza both times. Both times, the pizza/slices were very large, and served rather quickly(about 10 minutes). The staff were also very friendly. They advertise that they offer two different kinds of pizza, however, I did not notice any distinction of the two, nor have I ever been asked my preference or provided any explanation on any of my visits so I am assuming one of them must be their«standard.» Our first visit we ordered a whole pie(I think it was NY style, but I’m not sure) and dined in the restaurant, which is small and the seating is a little cramped. I think the pizza was the«Metica» with white sauce, shredded mozzarella, fresh garlic, spinach, chopped fresh tomato and grated parmigiano; we saw it in the case behind the counter and the man behind serving us suggested we order an entire pie for just a few dollars more rather than 3 single slices. The white sauce gave it a very different flavor… it was hot, it tasted fresh, and although different it was pretty good. We also had Peroni(Italian beer) with our pizza(they offer a very small selection of beer and wine). Our second visit we ordered a plain cheese pizza to go(again, I am pretty sure it was NY style, because this time I noticed that was what I was charged for). By the time we got home, the pizza was still hot, but the dough was a little tough and chewy and the consistency of the cheese was also a little tough and chewy. It was just okay, definitely not my favorite, but my son liked it. Still searching for the best pizza in New Tampa/Wesley Chapel…

I really think something must have changed in the last year and a half because I didn’t experience good food here. The reason for 2 stars and not 1 is because the pizza was okay. Not memorable, nothing indicating that the pizza is brick oven in taste. The pizza was edible. The calamari I had was just plain disgusting. Funny how after I ate the frozen calamari I started to look around to notice how messy and disorganized this place is. Product sat on the dining room area and I noticed the canned food service sauce they are buying isn’t even made with San marzano Also, when I paid for my pizza at the cash register the cashier put my receipt in a puddle of water making it difficult for me to fill out a tip and sign. It would be tough for me to go back and try again if the condition that this restaurant is currently in stays this way.

We ordered a calzone here. Maybe we should have tried pizza or an arancini ball, or something else italian. When you first see the calzone, you will be like oh my god, that is so big… but that’s the air from the bread puffing out. It’s hollow inside with simply cheese and your topping which was cheese and ham. We had marinara sauce on the side. Calzone is just so much bread, meh, didn’t like. No me gusta! Maybe we will try something else later. This location is super dog friendly since it’s Wiregrass. Super bonus points. If you don’t have time to wait, go inside, and pick up a pizza slice, eat, and go go go, and shop some more.

Don’t understand the big fuzz about 900 degrees. The Pizza was ok. Didn’t blow me away. Nothing memorable IMO. The real disappointment was the calamari. They were not fresh at all, very dry and bland. But anyway, came here because of the great reviews, should’ve gone elsewhere. Nothing to see here.

Food’s alright. Not a lot of seating. Standard pizza place. Conveniently located at the mall. Bumped them up to 3 star b/c the owner and staff were so nice!

Ok, I have heard this is the pizza to have… I’ll let you know. We arrived at 6:45 pm. We ordered calamari and a traditional large cheese pizza. I’m trying to make it easy for them. Started out with the calamari, well I have had great calamari before and this is average, not a lot of flavor, probably a 5 on a scale of 10. Now the pizza a thin crust with a light easy flavor to appreciate. I would rank this a 7 on the same scale.

No matter how hard I try wood fired pizza and I aren’t very good friends. I ask for a thick crust, he comes back with something a little bit thicker than a tortilla. I ask for my crust to be soft. Wouldn’t you know it he brings one back burnt and crispy. Sorry man, I shouldn’t have to work so hard to be friends. It should just come naturally. The two of us split. It was a nasty one. It was the kind of split that had us planning out visits to our favorite places ahead of time to ensure we never crossed paths. I swore the friendship off forever. And forever lasted for a good two, maybe three years. But a little over a week ago forever ended abruptly thanks to a group of Unilocalers who planned a UYE at 900 Degree Woodfired Pizza. I made the concession because I was so psyched that a UYE was coming to my neck of the woods. But I made sure that I tempered my expectations immensely. I also made sure not to make eye contact with the wood fired pizza as I slunk into the establishment as inconspicuously as possible. The UYE group was seated outside under the heaters when I arrived. I took my place at the table and realized they had already ordered. I quickly went through the menu and decided on a tomato and garlic pie. I inquired about cheese on it(I missed the part where it said mozzarella). The waiter pointed out the cheese and then directed me to a cheeseless pizza that was on the menu. He was a fabulous waiter, one who seemed to be really invested in helping the customer make the right decision for themselves. He quickly picked up on my diet and sent me in the right direction. I ordered the cheeseless pizza, mighty impressed that a Tampa restaurant actually had a vegan pizza on the menu. Even my favorite pizza places in the City don’t list such a thing, I have to take what’s on the menu and modify it. Our pizzas all came out quickly(or maybe the company made time fly?) and it was time for the taste test. I loved the look of the crust as it had char marks all over it. Unfortunately char marks usually mean crispy crust so I was stuck in one of those conundrum holes that seem impossible to get out of. But one bite told me that this was one conundrum that 900 Degree Woodfired Pizza had figured out how to solve. The crust was soft on the inside! SOFT! Despite the charring marks and the crisp feel and the fact that it was cooked at 900 degrees, it melted right in my mouth. Score one for them. Flavor wise, my pizza had a strong garlic taste that intensified the sauce. There weren’t any other toppings so garlic is what resonated. I looked around at some of the other pies and I was quite impressed with the varieties of veggies that were offered. Artichokes, olives, red peppers, all beautifully arranged and sinfully tasty(according to the other guests). I found myself plotting my next visit, where I would take the pie I was eating and load it up with a variety of veggies. I called it garlic and veggies and a gay old time. Wait…had I really just planned a second visit to a pizza place that specializes in wood fired pies? Yes I did. That’s the kind of impression that 900 Degree Woodfired Pizza had left on me. I was willing to rekindle a friendship that I had sworn off forever. Thank you, thank you, thank you 900 Degree Woodfired Pizza. You made being friends with wood fired pizza easy. That’s a claim that a lot of other places cannot make.

Santa’s Naughty Little Unilocalers decided to meet up for an Unofficial Unilocal Event at The Shops at Wiregrass in Wesley Chapel to enjoy the spectacular Christmas lights. But first, we elected to stop for dinner at 900 degree Wood-Fired Pizza at the mall. Unfortunately many of our naughty little elves were home sick, nursing colds and assorted ickies, but Erin P, Robbie C, Joel H and I forced ourselves to party like rockstars and enjoy some outstanding pizza and great laughs. The temps were a bit chilly that night, but we were able to sit outside on their covered patio right next to a big ol’ propane gas heater. The patio was enclosed on three sides with heavy canvas siding, and the heaters were pumping out the BTU’s all evening, so we were quite toasty. 900 Degree Wood-Fired Pizza is family owned pizzeria restaurant that serves both Neapolitan-style wood-fired pizza and the traditional thin-crust NY-Style pizza. I read about the two different styles of pizzas and opted to try one of the smaller Neapolitan pizzas. These are made with Antico Caputo«00» flour imported from Italy, and the sauce is made from crushed San Marzano DOP tomatoes with basil. Nothing else. I read on the menu that the cheese is fresh, imported mozzarella and all of their toppings are cooked and prepared from scratch. YUM!!! I started with their Mista salad which was mixed greens, tomatoes, onions, and homemade Italian dressing, and followed that with a 12 «Capricciosa wood-fired pizza that had the San Marzano tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella slices, artichoke hearts, ham, mushrooms, Kalamata olives and fresh basil. Seriously amazing! The menu has a wide variety of suggested specialty pizzas, or you can choose to build your own, and add whatever toppings you like. They also serve salads, calzones, pasta dishes, and dessert pizzas made with Nutella and other yummy stuff. The four of us had a great time enjoying our food and socializing next to the space heaters. We declared the restaurant a big success, and I’ll gladly make the haul from Carrollwood up to Wesley Chapel to try another one of their pizzas. By the way, the lights on the Christmas tree at the mall are synched to Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s music, which made for a great show. They also had two vocal groups who were belting out the Holiday hits and Christmas standards. We thoroughly enjoyed our informal get-together of excellent pizza and Christmas cheer with good friends.

Ladies and gents, we have a winner! First and only 5 star pizza I have found in Florida and this coming from a born and bred NY’er. Love that this is not a chain and family owned and they create a freshly made pie with fresh ingredients. They offer a woodfired 12 inch, cheese or with toppings or a NY style brick oven 16 inch. Hard decisions but with a name like 900 degree woodfired, this seemed like the logical choice. Normally, I would have opted for the Margherita but the vegetarian option was calling my name. It comes with crushed tomato(not just any but San Marzano), shredded mozzarella, broccoli, spinach, fresh chopped tomato, fresh garlic, ricotta and grated parmigiano, fresh basil and extra virgin olive oil. I swapped the broccoli for artichoke hearts and this pizza was superb! Just the right amount of fresh ingredients. With a quite large caesar salad to start with, could only get through half the pizza. YAY for leftovers! I’m impressed with their attention to detail and using imported bufala mozzarella. I would try their NY style too as it is made with GRANDE cheese and as noted, «the water has to be imported…» is just a myth. I quite agree. It’s the ingredients that matter. When we arrived at dinner hour on a Thursday night, they were pretty packed. Outdoor seating was a bit cramped but the outdoor heaters worked great on this brisk December night. Located at The Shops of Wiregrass Mall in Wesley Chapel, I will have to come back for more!
