We ate here a few years ago for dinner and thought it was was great so since we were in the area, we would gave it a try for breakfast. Other than the décor, which I like alot, it was very disappointing. It took almost two hours and it was not crowded…20 minutes to order, 10 more minutes to get a cup of very bad coffee, well over an hour from there to get food, etc. No apologies from the wait staff, not a single coffee refill, not even an acknowledgment. I ordered ham and eggs, when it arrived, there was maybe 1 scrambled egg, had to request the toast, etc. When the toast came it was dry(which I prefer) but not served with butter or jam, had to again request that. The ham and eggs were actually pretty good, but I just don’t have two hours to give up for breakfast… Don’t quite understand the 4 and 5 star reviews. Maybe its better for dinner? It used to be.

Very noisy, but great food. Central downtown Wenatchee location. Varied menu, good service, open kitchen.

This place might even get 5 stars but it’s my first visit and all I had was pizza and wine. The crust is delicious and great toppings. I lived in Italy and I missed that charred crispy wood fired crust BUT these cooks are able to add a lot more toppings because their oven is a steady 590 degrees and not 800. Everything would scorch if cooked that hot. I got to sit at the back bar and watch the food prep and wood fired oven in action. I was so impressed with their cleanliness!!! Frankly, they could have dropped my pie on the floor and I would have been OK with the 5 second rule. Everything is that clean. The wine list is very good and focused on regional wineries. Can’t go wrong with a Martin Scott anything!

A fun, relaxed atmosphere with good food and service. It is our go to place for dinner. I really enjoy the grilled tenderloin(the sauce is wonderful) and my kids usually choose one of the wood fired pizzas. We all love the fresh baked chocolate chip pizza with ice cream for desert. Wenatchee’s most popular restaurant will not disappoint.

I walked in, was seated, sat for 10 minutes and as I walk out was asked if I didn’t see anything I liked on the menu(this was the first time someone acknowledged me since my arrival) and I said menu looked fine, I just didn’t see any service.

Incredible food, service & ambiance! One of the best meals we’ve had out in a very long time. Went back for breakfast.

Immediately upon walking in and seating myself at the bar, the coolness of the place, the positive and ambient folk music and the vintage décor gave me excellent mouth feel for McGlinn’s. The servers were attentive and my most favorite local beer was on tap, Irish Death. The sweet darkness of the ale was a perfect counterpoint to the open faced hot crab sandwich I ordered for lunch. Upon receiving it(and in only a few minutes) I was struck by the visual appeal of the dish, steaming and bubbling and topped with melted, golden cheddar, strips of avacado, thinly sliced red onion and diced tomatoes. The sharp, crisp acidity of the red onions, the smooth and mellow creaminess of the avacado and the bright freshness of the tomato were a perfect balance to the decadence of the crab rou heaped on the bread. With the harmonious balance of the veggies and the savory crab, what might have been a heavy, sluggish dish was delicious, light and almost playful. I cannot recommend this pub highly enough.

I remember this place when it was a dive bar called the Orondo. It’s been cleaned up for years and they kept the original sign hanging inside now as a decoration. Recently I had a burger and it was very good and priced well. It was worth the stop for the buns they serve their burgers on. Service was good, even with a full house. Only downside is the lack of a deep fryer so there are no fries, only potato chips on the side. And if you’ve never been there before be advised that the restrooms are downstairs, and a fair hike from the bar.

We’ve eaten at McGlinn’s quite a few times over the years and been pretty happy. Ate there again today, and were happy again. The open-face crab melt is a rich and tasty fill up, and the bacon, basil, lettuce, and tomato sandwich, served with Tim’s style chips and a bit of broccoli salad, is totally worth the $ 10. Salads have always been fresh, and the beer list has PNW micros to satisfy most anybody. The place sort of specializes in flatbread style pizzas, which look great, though I can’t recall ever ordering one. Desserts also look dope(PB pie!). Bathrooms(downstairs) are clean and the overall environment is invitingly-dark, with local historical sporting paraphernalia offering interest. Service has always been great.

The food was just fine but the real tragedy is the service. Granted, lunch was pretty busy, but still, we were four people and it took about one and a half hours for us to finish our meal. If the food were exceptional, it would’ve made up for it but it just wasn’t.

This was a terrific choice by the husband. Their wood fired pizzas were delicious and i got a linguine pasta. which was super flavorful too :) I’d definitely go back when i’m in Wenatchee again!

The ciders were tasty and I enjoyed the dried Apple ring that soaked up the cider and made for a delicious bonus with my drink. The beer bread is a must have, as always. This time, we tried the Thai pizza and was not disappointed. So many flavors to be had in each bite.

Love the beer bread. Speedy, great portions/flavour, and price was fair. I prefer to support local business rather than chains with corporate mentality.

Our Saturday night dinner place when we come for our annual Leavenworth Christmas lighting. This place is always busy so be prepared to wait. We ordered the Sundried Tomato and Artichoke pizza, Margaritas pizza, pepperoni pizza and kids mac & cheese.(If you follow any of my post you’ll start to sense a theme with the kids meals. We could be certified kids Mac & Cheese critics!) The Mac & cheese was homemade and my 8 yo ate over half of it. The fan fave of the night was the half order of Baby Back Ribs! It was scrumptiously perfect! We also had the seasonal Pyramid Apricot need, Schillings Grapefruit Cider, Boot Jack and a kids cider.

Good amount of room. The peach and prosciutto pizza I had was okay. I was hoping for fresh peaches but thats not really possible out of season. We had bacon and chedder jojos(jojos apparently are Washington State speak for potatoes). They were good. Basically like potato skins, but potato cuts with the toppings. Coworker had the Thai pizza. It was okay. Other coworker had the skirt steak. I had a piece, and it was really good. He said the last time the ribeye was bad and overcooked. I think this place is just inconsistent with the way they cook their steaks, so I would still order a steak the next time if you had a bad steak previously. I kinda regret not ordering a steak instead of pizza cause the little steak piece I had was good. btw, the beer bread is good. I cannot tell why it is good. Its def not because of butter. It is baked a certain way I guess. Beer was good as told by my coworkers. I drank it, but I also dont like beer in general, so I cant judge what is good beer. They are open late which is definitely a plus since we work late.

Honestly McGlinns has dropped in quality greatly. The cooks cannot cook a flat iron steak properly. Of the last 4 times I’ve come, 3 times I have sent my steak back to be redone, either from being really undercooked or way overcooked. Today it was cooked alright. I can’t complain. However, the steak comes with a broccoli salad, and the salad came with a huge clump of raisins. When I asked for a new one the waiter said that«that’s how the scoop came out». Lack of attention to detail was shown by the waiters when the restaurant was for the most part empty. They gave me another salad but charged me for the additional side.(Faux pas on their part). Their saving grace is the fact that when they cook the food correctly, it tastes quite delicious. However, their service and food is hit and miss so don’t expect quality service each and every time. They used to be quite better. Not anymore.

Why 4 stars? Because it was quite unique. — — — We didn’t intend on eating here, but I’m glad we did! It looks like there’s been a lot of history within the walls, as it definitely has an older feel. With a name like McGlinn’s, I automatically assume it’s Irish but it’s almost more New American… with pizza :) We came visited on a Sunday for breakfast, and I unfortunately could not find the breakfast menu online anywhere to help me recall what I ordered. I think it was called a Denver Brown(or something like that.) It was definitely from the omelet family with eggs, cheese, and all the fixins’. I wish I had ordered it sans tomatoes, but I really enjoyed it. I will likely never be in Wenatchee again, but if I find myself visiting for a second time, I must come back to try some of that peach pizza. That’s something I’ve definitely never seen on a menu before!

The Café Salad. I order it every time because it is, without fail, always awesome. I also really appreciate McGlinn’s varied and interesting beer and cider selection. The Black Bean Chili and Beer Bread are a couple of my other favorites. The Thai Chicken, Peach and Prosciutto and BBQ Chicken pizzas are amazing. Like I said, I always order the Café Salad but when other people at the table get any of these pizzas I’m definitely asking for(at least) a piece. I LOVE that McGlinn’s grows and uses some of their own organic fruits, veggies and herbs in their dishes and I also love how involved they are with our community. I’ll never forget them offering a free dinner to those affected by the fires a few years ago, it really touched my heart as my family was on a level 3 evacuation at the time. McGlinn’s is one of Wenatchee’s best places to get a meal.

Apps: Pretty good. Nachos are dece. Entrees: Terrible(I’ve tried so many times!). Crab sandwich is APPALLING. Salads come out hot. Sliced steak sandwich 75% bread with barely any meat. So, so, so, so gross. Dessert: Awesome. Coffee & Beer: Delicious! Service: No complaints. Very nice. McGlinns used to be great. Ambiance is still wonderful. Come in for coffee and dessert or beer and nachos. Skip it for main meals. Banking on reputation – which is sad.
