Sushi Yama Siam

Unfortunately, what gives this place a bad review is the kids they have running the restaurant. My wife and I have gone various times, the owners have these 2 kids running the place or at least every time I go they are there. These 2 are always either on the lap top watching what ever or just plain fooling around.
The last time I went it seems like they change cooks. Food did not taste the same. Sushi bar though is very good, if you wanna just eat sushi. I suggest you just sit up at the bar.
I will probably never go back to this place simply because of the service.

I would give this place 5 stars for the sushi but only 3 for the Thai food. I tried the pad kee mao, which tasted okay, I suppose, but the noodles were not rice noodles and they were really skinny — like lo mein noodles cut in half — and it was really watery. However, as far as the sushi is concerned, I really loved it.
The crazy roll was really good and I especially loved how they deep fried the salmon skin because it added a great crunchy texture. I also really enjoyed the spicy salmon roll; it wasn’t overly mayo-​y (I don’t care for mayo really) and was full of fish.
Staff is friendly and though we took our order to go, the ambiance in the restaurant was pleasant — clean, modern, and elegant.

In a word, awesome!
These folks are now batting 4-​for-​4 when it comes to fantastic dining experiences. We have been warmly greeted each time, seated immediately, and have waited no more than a minute or two before we have water and our waiter has taken drink orders. Service is prompt and friendly from start to finish.
Specific highlights include the Sea Bass Misoyaki which is perfectly cooked, buttery and delicious The «Hot» Tuna Sandwich is a clever takeoff on the spicy tuna roll. The Happy Vietnamese Pancake is well cooked and stuffed with minced pork/​chicken. The Yaki Niku had very tasty ad tender pieces of steak which are often overcooked at most places but was fantastic here.
We have ordered the sushi boat for 3 a couple of times and it is a wonderful assortment of sushi, sashimi, and rolls. Dollar for dollar I think it is the best deal on the menu as 3 people can eat well for around $ 20 per person which is a great price on the fish they serve.
We were tempted in here by the $ 20 for $ 40 coupon they sold online for a short time but will happily return and pay full price any time!

I absolutely love this place! The sushi is always fresh and delicious. I get Sushi Mori A: California rolls and nigiri, then round that off with some Pad Thai extra spicy. The wait staff are cool, and the atmosphere is great. If you haven’t tried Sushi Yama Siam, you need to!

Just ate here yesterday, visiting a friend in the Wellington area. Wow! This place hard to find. Forget about GPS’s. But, atmosphere very quiet. Probably, we came between lunch n dinner. Had the Cali roll, not bad spiced it up w/​wasab. Really like tuna taki, juz how I like. Staff were very pleasant n su chef very helpful. I would recommend.

The best Sushi in town maybe the best i ever enjoyed. Nice friendly staff.
