Went to the place! Looked for our favorite waiter, Neal! Where was he? We left! When is he coming back?

I rarely write a poor review, and this one has nothing to do with poor food quality or service. Before leaving for the restaurant I called about a special that I heard that Flakowitz of Wellington was offering. It was buy one get one free as long as you pay cash and buy 2 beverages. After speaking with the young man who answered the phone, and who assured me that the special was the whole week, including today, my husband and I drove 20 minutes to go to the restaurant which we have frequented before. We sat down at a table. We told the waitress we were there for the special and her reply was it is not available on Sundays. I informed her that I just hung up from one of her employees and was told that it was in effect today, Sunday and that was the reason we took the ride down. She called over the manager who was very brusque, and told me that either I didn’t call or that I called the wrong restaurant. After telling me I was untruthful or mistaken, She turned around and walked away. There was No apology or indication that she even cared that we were given the wrong information and so my husband and I did something we never did, we got up and walked out. Had she been pleasant or apologetic, we would have stayed and eaten at the restaurant anyway. We will not step foot in Flakowitz of Wellington again. There are other restaurants that appreciate our business.

I’m sitting in Flakowitz as I write this. It’s quiet, not a lot of customers. Service is terrible: extremely slow and forgetful. Side riches ordered didn’t come out until we were done. One member of the party ordered cake, then had to go looking for the waitress to find out where it was. And these are experienced servers (they are even tempered and kind, but…)
The food is pretty good. It’s Jewish deli, which on the more expensive side, but the portions are generous. When the cake and orders DID arrive, they were great. Rome wasn’t built in a day and it takes about as long to get your order.

This place is a disappointment. When they announced it I envision a sort of NY Katz’ deli, you know the famous Lower Manhattan place, right?
Well, this is nothing like it. Of the typical NY deli it has the noise and the prices. But the quality and the service are not even close.
The service was extremely slow, which to me is a relative issue but it is worth mentioning in reviewing a place.
The main thing was that the sandwiches were just blah. Lack of taste, lack of love, lack of flavor: they just give me no reason whatsoever to go back, I don’t see the point. I don’t often have breakfast out (why would I? At least when I make eggs at home I know they are fresh and real, not something from a bottle…) but should I have it again in Wellington I’d rather go to First Watch.

Just finished lunch. the table next to us complained about the poor ingrediance in their salad and our turkey sandwich was slimy and my hamburger came back up in the parking lot. Am writing them off for ever.

I had the worst dining experience at Flakowitz. We were seated and waited more than 10 minutes to order drinks. The hostess finally came over and took our drink order. Another 10 – 15 minutes go by and no one came to our table. My coworker went and asked for someone to come to our table. Another 5 minutes go by and I went up to the counter and said «excuse me, sir» and I was quickly interrupted by an older gentleman at the counter who told me, «I don’t have time to talk to you, I’m in the middle of something». I said, «okay, I guess I should go somewhere else if I want to get service.» The server finally came out and said she would take our order. It is mind boggling they only have one server during lunch. Terrible service. I won’t be returning.

Neal was our very attentive and friendly server. Although I’m a difficult customer (so I’m told) he got everything right and was as patient as could be.
Bagels are good — nothing will ever compare to NY bagels, but these are close.
Hostess greeted us promptly and was courteous. Staten Island woman at cashier — great personality and super quick.
My baked salmon (platter) was incredible, moist, juicy, …just perfect. My husband’s omelette was fluffy, and the potatoes were excellent. Very nice-​sized portions.
We’ll be back!

I have been hesitating to try here based on all the negative reviews. I am glad we went. Our waitress was Britney and she was wonderful. She brought over a plate with some marble sponge cake squares on it. When I asked what they were she asked if our first time here and when we told her yes she explained the sponge cake on each table. It was super yummy. I ordered eggs Benedict and they asked if I wanted my eggs cooked easy, medium or hard. I have never had anyone ask me that on poached eggs and was glad she did, I prefer medium but they are usually served easy. The eggs Benny came on a Bialy which was a pleasant surprise and I had a choice of home fries, hash browns, grits, tomato and I think even oatmeal. My husband got over easy eggs with corned beef hash and home fries and we got a whole wheat everything bagel toasted with his meal planning on taking that away. There was so much food my husband only ate half of his meal which we took home and he had that and I had the bagel for leftovers. Coffee was refilled 3 times. Will difinately be back.

Stood there for 5 minutes waiting for someone to acknowledge me, take my order. The staff just kept arguing with each other. So I left. Too bad. The sloppy Joe sounded great.

Ok the place is very clean and neat. The staff was very friendly. The coffee cups are always full.

Hands down the best corned beef hash in Palm Beach County. Not overly expensive nice atmosphere good for breakfast

Poor attempt at a deli. The service was slow, but the food was really bad. Never had tough corned beef or pastrami but had it there. Only ate half my sandwitch. I paid $ 27.50 for two sandwiches and two drinks. This was our second attempt and we won’t be back. The original location is way better.

How hard is it to screw up a BLT? At Flakowitz, not very hard. Waited 15 minutes after we ordered to get our food, the place was not busy. Sandwich came out with cold bacon and toast that was soggy and cold too. I’m giving them one star because the cole slaw was ok. The last thing, that irks me the most, is that if I order a BLT on white toast WITH mayo, make the sandwich the way I ordered it. Don’t bring me the sandwich with the mayo on the side. I’m paying you people to make the Fn sandwich. Jesus Fn Christ!

We ate there last night. After dinner we tried to order a platter for a few days later. We were told the manager had left and only she could take the order. We were told to call the next day and speak with the manager. She would take the order by phone and a credit card to secure the order. The next day we called as instructed. The general manager was on duty. We were told by the person who answered the phone that the general manager refused to come to the phone and that I would have to come in. Despite my giving the name who told me to call in, I could not get the order taken. In fact I could not get the name of the general manager. I even explained that the platter was for visitors after a funeral but no one cared. And again I was willing to give my credit card so it was paid beforehand. The general manager at Wellington needs to take a course on customer relations.

Came here because of the one on Boyton Beach. Had a great staff there this one has waitress who is unpleasant. I ordered a pastrami sandwich for $ 14 dollars it worth 6 very tiny asked for dressing on the side the but on the sandwich. Asked for potato salad got fries. I complained to the management then they took care of us. Won’t be back.

#1 Matzoh ball soup in PBC… That’s right. I said it.
Big oversized sandwiches, fresh bagels. Rugullah to die for. Great breakfast specials, and they also have an oatmeal bar if you’re into that kind of thing. Only reason they don’t have 5 stars is because their nova platter is a little pricey compared to other Delis in the area.

A friend with a commercial cleaning business once said «If the bathrooms aren’t clean, you don’t want to see the kitchen! DONT EAT THERE!»
So, yesterday my wife and I stopped in for dinner and before we even sat down, I was repulsed by how dirty the dining room was. Trash on the floor made it super obvious that no one cared about cleanliness. We left immediately. Never returning.

Great little place for breakfast. Be prepared though, their breakfast sandwiches are huge. The sandwich was good, but lacked a bit of flavor.
Our server was friendly and on top of everything.
This place is located right near Whole Foods, which is a great location.

Wow you would think with all these negative reviews management would step up their game but it seems like they could care less. I’ve been here 3x, first time was great, second time not that good and last time was awful, we won’t be going back.
When we walked in the server was arguing with the host, it was completely awkward and uncomfortable.
Our server (someone else) was so nice! But she messed up every single thing of our order. She even tried to tell us we were wrong when a sandwich came out that we didn’t order. I had to actually grab a menu and show her that she was wrong. There were so many issues with our meal I won’t even bother writing them all out.
It’s obvious from all the other bad reviews that this place will not last long…
