The most important thing to know about Vidalia’s, at this point, is that it’s closed.

Went here for dessert the other day. I had a root beer float and shared an ice cream sundae for two :) I thought the menu looked pretty good, considering why you go to these sorts of places. mmm mmm burgers. There are sides of steak, etc. which makes me smile too. Service seemed slow, despite the ¾ filled place. It is really small, but they have outdoor seating which I bet will be nice for the rest of the summer and fall. It doesn’t seem to belong in Wellesley, but I find it a welcome change from Starbucks.

this place has a nice diner atmosphere. the menu is like a typical NY diner menu, but paired down the essentials: breakfast, burgers, sandwiches, and blue plate specials. i had the the turkey burger which was grilled nicely and very juicy. added the onion rings which were a huge disappoitment. they were frozen in a bag empty tubes of fry with the saddest bit of onion inside. my friend got the veggie burger with grilled vegetables. very nice looking. she added the side of sweet potato fries and we were not disappointed. they were krinkle cut too, which is rare. the price was a little steep for burgers though. $ 8 for the burger + $ 2 for the side + $ 2 for the diet coke plus tax and tip and all of a sudden i’m spending $ 16 on a burger. ouch.

A solid three. I really enjoyed the truck décor, which I found to be cute. We had the spinach and cheese dip with the chips, which I found to be quite good. I also had the caesar salad, which had a little too much dressing on it for my taste, but still three stars.

It is interesting that a place in the middle of Wellesley, MA has the words«truck stop» in its name. I wonder when the last time was that a trucker visited here. Unless you count a Hummer as a truck, probably never. I thought that the food here was quite adequate and not terribly expensive. We ordered the Spinach Dip and entrees, and everything showed up at the same time. I guess its not fine dining, but that should be expected for a pseudo diner. The spinach dip was a bit too gooey, and the chips weren’t all that good, but my corned beef sandwich was very respectable, and the onion rings were tasty. The service seemed somewhat more attentive than what I’ve gotten at most truck stops.

They had mice when I was in highschool. This has probably been fixed by now, but it just keeps me from ever again having the urge to spend $$$ on a boring, greasy hamburger.

«upscale diner with a lot of charm» ??? If by «upscale» you mean cheap, and by «charm» you mean kid-infested, crumbs-galore, tv-blaring romper room, then… Yes. After the waitress took our orders, I wanted to ask her if we were seated in the children’s section but I refrained. Later I realized the ENTIRE restaurant WAS the children’s section. Mediocre food, service, and atmosphere. I sort of feel bad for the people working here. It seems like Hell.

There are better options in the area, e.g. Rosie’s, Alta Strada, Amarin… a very typically overpriced Wellesley imitation. Compare with Casey’s right down 135.

this place is ok. It’s got good hours and when you are not looking to spend a crap load of dough on some basic food, I’d choose this place. They have a basic menu with basic sandwiches and ‘lunch’ fare. nothing bad, but nothing too exciting. The diner atmosphere is ‘kitschy’ to Wellesley’s standards, but is nice enough for what it serves as.

Upscale diner with a lot of charm. The best of both worlds… diner food menu in a quaint yet trendy setting. Don’t get me wrong… I love diners, but sometimes the seats are a bit worn out and the tables on the sticky side. Got me a raspberry lime rickey and a cheese burger with fries… and I was all happy! Burgers come with your choice of fries, sweet potato fries, or onion rings. They even have cakes sitting on the counter for that diner feel. Located in Wellesley Center with outdoor seating available. The bathroom was really clean, too — me like clean bathrooms!
