Been coming here for 23 years! For every holiday, special occasion, birthday etc. Good traditional family restaurant. Filetto Balsamico is delicious, and their chicken dishes are great too. Everything is fresh and great. Gil is the best waiter and really gives the right amount of attention to his tables and makes sure everyone is all set. Will hope to keep coming back!

One of the best and busiest Papa Razzi locations! Get here early because it fills up quickly. Came in for a lunch meeting, and was promptly seated. A basket of breadsticks, flat bread and rolls were placed at the table once settled in. The lunch menu had many options to choose from including hot/cold appetizers, multiple soups, a large selection of salads, sandwiches and entrees. The soup I ordered was hot and hit the spot on this cool spring day. The grilled chicken salad was fresh w a fresh cooked chicken breast resting atop the mixed greens. Full bar is available with a nice wine list as well. The staff is friendly, attentive and goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Staff has a team approach in serving the tables. Valet is available and, in most cases, needed. Have typically passed by Papa Razzi restaurants in the past, but will definitely be back again soon.

Only gave two stars because the bartender Michelle was very good. The food however was horrible. So disappointing. I got takeout and threw it away.

I love this location. Everyone is so nice and goes out of the way to make it a great dining experience.

Can’t park! The parking lot is clearly under-sized. The valet staff is not very helpful(borderline rude) and will just send you to the next lot where… you’ll need luck. Having a reservation doesn’t mean you’ll be able to sit: you need to park first and that may take a while.

Very good food, very reasonablely priced Caesar salad with chicken was excellent. Really good dressing, fresh crisp lettuce and abundant grilled chicken. The broiled chicken sandwich was very good, nice pesto and fresh roll.

this has to be one of the most awful Italian meals i have ever had. Bostonians claim to know Italian food thanks to the tourist trap known as the North End, but in reality they don’t. the fact that they have supported this local chain through the years is evidence enough. my quattro formaggi pizza was terrible, it looked like pizza dough dripping in a bath of grease. the pasta dish was no better, swimming in butter or some kind of grease, flavorless«pancetta,» and rabe that was so tough you couldn’t eat it.

Went to bar around 4.00 pm. Bartender not particularly friendly. Bartender threw bottles in trash, making a great deal of noise. Bartender was more interested in having conversation with other workers instead of attending to customers — noisy conversation with restaurant staff is not why we are sitting at the bar — quiet time. Kitchen staff dumping bucket of ice into containers — making a huge racket. Not a great experience. No wonder the bar was empty and so was the restaurant around 5.00pm

Atmosphere very nice. Waiter Mr. gill was awesome. Liked the veal parm and antipasti. Steak was average at best. Made a mistake by ordering non-Italian that night. Beef carpaccio was not what we were expecting for 2nd app! Great deals for Managua Monday. Will be back again for veal parm. Marinara was oh so good.

The frist time I went here was a couple of years ago and I found the restaurant rather average. Last night I returned for a private function and was more impressed. We started with a cheese platter and bread with olive oil then had a choice of beef fillets, eggplant or chicken. I had the chicken which was not Peter Lugar’s but still good. Dessert was a choice of two cakes, both of which were good. Both were moist and flavorful. The servers were friendly and the room we had the function was very nice and private but it did take a while to get coffee at the end of the meal. So overall 3.5.

Nice ambiance if you are into the pretentious white table cloth sort of lunch. Had the chicken salad club which was tasty and not overly filling. The bartender/waitress was cheerful and attentive. Typical sort of experience you’d expect whilst dining in Swellsley

A mediumly classy place but it can be very hit or miss and is a bit too pricey for what it is. Not the best bread either.

I ate here as a spectator during the marathon to get out of the elements. I was pleasantly surprised. Very good salad and sandwich. I’ll eat here again. Great environment and excellent service.

Average Italian food, too pricy, and service is nothing extraordinary. Garlic! They do have gluten free options which is nice. Bar is full. Parking lot is busy. Takeout is 40min. Lots of garlic!

I recently went to this restaurant on a Saturday night. The service was unbelievably slow and poor, to the point were you gave up asking anything additional from the wait staff. The waiter went through this elaborate show to prove he could memorize everyone’s order, including special requests. Only he got one of the orders wrong. My farther ordered risotto with shrimp, but got risotto with chicken. In the end, he ate the meal, because he didn’t want to wait another 45 minutes for it to get replaced. Advice to management: 1. Cut the showmanship and deliver guests what they order. 2. Offer better service. Guests should not wait 45 minutes from their starters to their main courses. 3. Equip your waiters with pens and note pads. You can buy them from Staples down the street.

Went today for lunch. Had been for dinner and wanted to try a lunch. It was GREAT. The pace is relaxed… they don’t rush you. Today we sat in the bar area. We had the: Rollatini Melanzana egg battered eggplant, herb & garlic scented ricotta, prosciutto, pomodoro sauce 8.99; and the: Panzanella baby greens, capers, tomatoes, torn focaccia, Vermont goat cheese, red wine vinaigrette 8.50; and the: Salmone all Griglia Atlantic salmon, red & yellow beets, fennel, baby arugula, Yukon Gold potato hash, pine nuts, orange vinaigrette 19.99; and — Filetto Balsamico 5oz. pan-seared filet, roasted vegetables, balsamic vinegar sauce for 15.99. For drinks we had Arnold Palmers — lemonade and iced tea, the lemonade is freshly squeezed and bottled sparkling water. It was really good. No complaints. It has been consistent and the staff VERY accommodating and professional. Calm. Attentive. If you want something just ask. As I have said before — the other locations are not as good a fit for us, we liked, loved, the old location at The Mall at Chestnut Hill — but this is as good as you get. We are very satisfied. Yes, some call it a chain, but we like it better than Legal Seafood and other ‘chains’… I personally like it as much as Capital Grill and find it priced better and I also find that they are much more accommodating. Great neighborhood feel.

We had an excellent dinner here. The staff is properly trained, the atmosphere is inviting, and the food was authentic Italian done right.

This place is terrible. This was not our first choice for dinner but we settled. The restaurant we originally planed for the night was closed because of the big snow storm. We went out for dinner because my boyfriends brother was deploying over seas. We were a party of eight and had made a reservation so I’m not sure why they were unprepared for our party. It looked like a well functioning restaurant until you sit down and realize there is a ton of staff standing around but none of them are doing anything. The kitchen staff was dancing around in plain sight of patrons and it was uncomfortable to watch while not being served. We had one server and he couldn’t care less about our table. He was very slow, sloppy and inaccurate at keeping drinks on the table. None of the food came out at the same time and mine sadly got cold while waiting for everyone else. Worst was that someones food wasn’t made at all and we waited while the kitchen staff danced around and slowly made his meal. I ordered a very simple chicken piccata. It was small and the chicken was over cooked. The saddest part of this is that it is a chain restaurant. If you want to pay a lot of money for an Italian dinner. Go to an authentic restaurant, not this sad pathetic excuse for a restaurant.

I expected so much more from this place! Waiter was very slow and took forever to do anything, when this place wasn’t that busy. Prices were about right, but the food just was ok. If I go here again then I will get something different to eat and hopefully I won’t get the same waiter again! 2.5 stars
