Love eating here when in Texas. The fresh guacamole is awesome and I love the fish tacos.

The food was good, but the service was rather slow. The restaurant is huge and holds a lot of people, so it’s quite loud. Our server was very pleasant but she disappeared for long periods of time. Our drinks stayed full, so I can’t complain too much about the service. The chips are thin, brittle, and easily broken but the salsa was good. Get the queso blanco instead of the regular queso. Even with all the construction it was easy to get in and out of the lot. Our experience was average and transactional. Nothing extraordinary stood out. I don’t know that we would go back.

This place was recommended and given raves as how«Houston does Tex-Mex»; however, it reminded me of an overpriced Chilis. I went with a group of 5 + 1 baby to this location for happy hour/early dinner on a Friday. Margaritas are $ 5.50 at happy hour and well worth it; however, it seemed to take forever for said Margarita to appear that happy hour had almost ended. There were bottomless chips to keep us occupied which come with a good salsa verde. The service did improve once the food came out and the waitress happily split our check 3 ways. I got a grilled fish combo of tilapia, a few scallops, and shrimp for $ 21. The scallops were well grilled and flavorful but the tilapia was dry and the shrimp was overcooked and almost inedible. The meal did come with cilantro rice and black beans which weren’t half bad. When the free chips and the scallop is your meal highlight, that is saying something. My boyfriend got the shrimp fajitas which was a good size portion that came with all the trimmings but pricey($ 23.95 + $ 2 for cheese and sour crème). The shrimp was over grilled, too charbroiled, and over spiced. Yes the ambiance is better than Chili’s and they have a more diversified Tex Mex menu than Chili’s with a good selection of grilled options but it’s sort of the same food as Chili’s at a higher price point. I’d recommend that you keep hunting for some better Tex Mex in the area.

Twice in one week at two different Pappasitos locations. I think we may have a problem! We tend to have alot of family gatherings where no one wants too cook. This place is one of the best to order a couple of platters and feed a small army. Just like our visit to the other Pappasitos, we ordered the chicken and beef fajita platter that feeds 4 – 5 people with all the fixins, and everyone is happy and full afterwards. I subtract one star just because the chicken fajitas are just ok. Everyone usually tears up the beef first. Chips and salsa are good as always and the service was outstanding. They are good about accommodating large groups pretty quickly as well.

This Pappasito’s is always on point. They are consistent with their delicious food every single time I go, I can count on the same food, and the same high quality. They Do have a happy hour I have been to a few times, but mostly am unable to make it by the time it is over. The drinks are especially tasty, really love the watermelon margarita.

Service was fast and friendly but food was just meh. Some ingredients were good, others were disappointing. Over priced for the value. Guacamole and queso were without flavor. Size of plate was inflated by about half a head of iceberg lettuce.

Great food and great atmosphere. Drinks were really good. My enchiladas had great flavor with a touch of heat. Chips and two types of sauce were served while I waited. The green sauce is the best.

Bland, overpriced, Americanized, loud, portion sizes way too big. Ordered tacos al carbon and tasted like boiled chicken. Guacamole is like unseasoned chopped up avocado. Seafood enchilada looks like soupy seafood. Shrimp skewer plating is presented in such a superfluous manner. Very average. Good service though.

First do not come here if you don’t want a drink. The grand gold nagar its is perfect for any fish you want. The hubs and I always split the fajitas with shrimp! It’s so much food!

The cheese enchiladas here are so good that I cant even describe them. I have never had anything here that wasn’t fantastic. The service is great and so is the food. For me that’s all you need to know about a restaurant. It’s a tad pricey, but worth every penny.

If you look asst my reviews you will see that I have visited many Houston area Mexican restaurants. This one is absolutely the best by far! Although they were already very busy at 6 pm, we were seated right away by one of three friendly hostesses. We ordered a combination fajita platter for two but for the three of us. My friends are regulars here and they knew that an order for two would easily serve three. As it turns out there were even leftovers. The food was fabulous. The beef was tender. The chicken was moist and flavorful. Add home made tortillas, salsa, guacamole, great beans and rice as well as a killer garlic sauce and you have a winning combination. It turns out that tonight was half price fajita night so the three of us ate for under ten dollars a person. If I lived in the Houston area I would be a regular here.

My first visit to Houston, and my daughter and family took us here for dinner. We waited about 40 minutes due to popularity of this place. While waiting for our table, we got one of their margaritas(I forgot the name, it had chili salt on the rim and it was tasty). For our dinner, we ordered their family size dinner with beef and chicken. It came with all the fixings which all of them were magnificent. Their beef was so tender and juicy. We also ordered their calamari which was devine! I am now back in the Bay Area(California) and I must say, I am having a craving for it. I wish they would soon open one close to me so I can have their food more often.

Love love love their Shrimp Diablo! Huge mouth watering shrimp! Fresh tortillas! Prices are a little high but this place is legit! I love it when they have live music! Just a few guys walking around with their guitars! Authentic! It is a very loud place! So if your wanting a quite evening go elsewhere.

Decent food but I’ve had better, it’s way overpriced for what you get. Only perk is Wednesday, half off combo 1lb fajita & combine that with a happy hour drink or 2!

Ninfa’s may have my favorite chili con queso, but Pappasito’s has the BEST margarita’s! Don’t misunderstand, Pappasito’s chili con queso is excellent and probably my second favorite in Houston; fresh veggies just make it perfect. But the margarita’s just cannot be beat! We enjoy everything we have had here, the food is always cooked perfectly; the fish being our favorite. The beef fajita is tender and juicy, despite the chicken usually being our favorite everywhere else. We enjoy Pappasito’s every time, and have yet to have a bad meal, it’s just always perfect. I would recommend and we WILL be returning!

I like Pappasito’s happy hour, but it was nice to experience lunch on this visit. There were plenty of reasonably priced lunch dishes and my watermelon margarita was a treat. Customer service was wonderful and my food was pretty good. I ordered to chicken clinicians with chicken soup… came out hot and quick. My by had the shrimp fajitas and he really enjoyed it. The watermelon lemonade was also delicious, but too sweet for more than one glass.

Way too overpriced, too loud, and every 5 seconds they singing that annoying birthday song! Also, tables are so crowded together like you are touching the next person. Mind this, it was my first time here. The menu was big and long; with 3 people it engulfed our tiny square table. The menu items were outrageously expensive and I’m not saying that because I am a frugal person. I mean, honesty. Our waitress, Melinda was nice, but she kept on forgetting our things. I can’t complain too much about that the place was packed last night and she was trying her best. We ordered the chicken and beef faijtas with bacon wrapped jumbo shrimps, soft handmade tortillas, charro beans, Spanish rice, guac, salsa, and our drinks. The lemon water I requested was delicious; I’m glad they gave me 2 lemons instead of one. The meal was good; I preferred the beef faijtas over the chicken ones. It was good tasted as if they marinated it in beer. My dad said that his Shriner Bock was fresh and delicious! Now, the chips and salsa. I couldn’t stop eating it! Maybe, I was just craving that only. For dessert, Melinda encouraged that I at least sample something. So, she brought out the dessert tray of the plastic desserts that just look so real.(I wanted that display more than the actual thing), and I chose the taco crêpe with fruit. It was very yummy! I give 3 stars because of it being too packed like a can of sardines, way too noisy; I just can’t stand too much unnecessary noise; it was two children sitting near me on both sides making the loudest racket! It was very difficult for me to enjoy myself; once they left I was very relieved!!! Now, for Tex-Mex this food shouldn’t be costing $ 14 — $ 35 for one meal on the menu. The flavor wasn’t screaming the best either. I can’t say I will be back unless I win the lotto or rob a bank.

Looooooove this place! Everything is GREAT here! From the time you sit down, you are served fresh, warm chips with red and green sauce. Both of the sauces are soooooooooo good! I usually stuff myself silly because I literally CANNOT stop eating the chips and salsa! I love their Pappasito’s Salad. It’s HUGE! It’s definitely enough to share with at least 2 people. Their avocado-ranch dressing is amazing too. I rarely can finish half the salad but that’s probably from all the chips and salsa I ate beforehand. Their shrimp quesadillas were really tasty too. I love that they are big pieces of juicy, marinated shrimp with a lots of cheese in between the tortillas. The menu doesn’t tell you what is inside them but I think it was shrimp, melty cheese, onions and cilantro. All yummy! I do feel they are a bit pricy. $ 14.95 for quesadillas is high but they are worth it. Speaking of pricy, please note their crab cake is also $ 13.95. And yes, crab cake as in ONE. Don’t get me wrong, their crab cake was delectable. Melt-in-your-mouth goodness without a doubt! But there should have been at least 2 or 3 on the plate for that price! Come on! We were especially disappointed when our adorable waiter told us it came with 3. We most definitely would not have ordered it if we had known it was only 1 crab cake for $ 13.95. Our waiter apologized but frankly, I thought we should have gotten another one for free since he misinformed us. NOPE. Bummer dude. This place is always packed and there’s usually a long wait unless you go when they first open or before their busy lunch/dinner crowds. I’d definitely recommend this place. Even though it’s a tad pricy for Tex-Mex, it’s so good you won’t mind. Their frozen strawberry margarita is awesome. They use FRESH fruit which makes a HUGE difference! Personally, I think they have the BEST cheese enchiladas in Houston! TIP: Order the fresh, warm tortillas with melted garlic butter. First of all, it’s complimentary. Secondly, OMG! Sooooooooooo amazing! I could go there and just eat that and be completely satisfied!
