I emailed Kathy on great advice of my sister and she had me an entire list of available apartments customized to my specifications within 24 hours. when I was searching for an apartment in Houston. I did not know what neighborhoods were good, what was safe, what was reasonably priced, or anything. I tried my best. But then I spotted Kathy’s ad during a Craig’s List search. Thank God I did. Kathy saved my ass-​ets.

Knowing all this is great, but people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care. Kat really cares. I had some very tough requirements in terms of prices, length of lease, driving times, and neighborhood. Kathy did not blink. I sent her an e-​mail at 1:00 am on a Friday night and by Saturday at 11:00 am I had 15 great picks that COMPLETELY MATCHED MY CRITERIA in my inbox. That’s not all. Kat typed up a memo about each and every property, from W/​D hook-​ups to move in specials. I was floored. I would have paid hundreds for this in Miami, where I moved from, but Kathy doesn’t charge a penny to a renter. The apartment complexes pay her fees. She didn’t stop there. She sent several more e-​mails with more choices as we narrowed down the field and refined the criteria. She spent 45 minutes on the phone with me, giving me helpful ideas and suggestions.
Don’t fall over, but she was actually FRIENDLY. I know, hard to believe. She was professional, kind, and expert as well, and believe me, I am a hard man to impress, and I was really impressed by Kathy. You will be too.

Apartment Searching Sucks, Let Kathy Do It For You
I recently got a job in the Webster, TX area which required a move from Denver, CO. Searching for an apartment is difficult enough, let alone having to do so from a different time zone. I hit
and checked the reviews in an attempt to avoid the truly wretched places. While searching, I came across Kathy’s web page and was immediately impressed by the way she *actually lists* her properties. So many apartment search websites make you give them all of your information BEFORE they actually let you see any results. I liked that Kathy was upfront from the beginning and that there was transparency to what was going on.
Shortly after contacting her, Kathy immediately contacted me back (via email, which I preferred) letting me know she got my information and that she would be compiling a list. Kathy really listened to what I wanted in an apartment and hand-​tailored her list to my wants and needs. I really appreciate the fact that she took the time to write a memo about each property, offering additional information that I could have in no way found on my own. She knew so much about specials running because she is in contact with a number of the apartment complexes. I felt that she helped to smooth-​over the leasing process by contacting the apartment complexes for me and making sure everything was going as it should.
All in all, Kat made 4 different lists, each with 10 – 15 apartment complexes per my changing requests. I was kind of a huge pain (I’ve lived in some real armpits before and wanted to avoid doing so again) but Kat was excellent at keeping in touch and doing her best to help me find the perfect apartment. I love where I am currently and know that I couldn’t have done it without her. With her help, all I had to do was show-​up and sign my lease. In conclusion, do yourself (and your family) a favor and give Kat a call. I never felt pressured, always felt listened to, and ended-​up in an awesome pad at a steal of a price.
