A great Mexican place with more of a foodie twist! First, the chips and salsa are very good. I had a hard time deciding what I wanted because the menu has a lot of good sounding food, but I had the duck tacos and my boyfriend had the nachos. The tacos were good, but a little under seasoned for me, but the street-style corn was AMAZING(definitely substitute this for your side). The nachos had really good flavor, likely due to their chili on top which was great. Very good! Be prepared for a wait though if you come during popular times.

The mole chicken dish with the goat cheese grits and chayote squash was fantastic, but I don’t see it on their menu anymore. That’s a shame, because it was the stand out. Great mole. Most of the food is good, but nothing truly stands out. Fajitas were not great. Guac is okay. Drinks are a bit overpriced for what they are, but nice selection. Nice location, and better than many of the competitors.

We were at Milagro in Webster Groves last week and I think this is without question the best Mexican restaurant in St. Louis. My one really exceptional menu item was a cocktail made with an apple infused tequila and cranberry juice. Yum! The rest of the food was also good.

I’m not a hater, I promise. But this food just was not good at any way shape or form. This review is based solely on food and had nothing to do with our server who was wonderful. But the food, man… So bad. Completely flavorless if you ask me. My moms fajitas came out and it looked like a portion size for a Barbie doll play house. I’m not even sure if it had a full chicken breast as a serving. Tasteless. I was shocked. I got the build your own taco thing. Each meat tasted as if it was boiled in plain water as a cooking method. It was basically like plain watery flesh. No flavor. And the drinks were 10 $ a piece and very small. The drinks did taste good but not for that size and price. The meal came out to be 75 $ and I couldn’t of been more pissed to spend money I work hard for on food like that. Will never be back but I’m glad we tried it so now we know. Sorry to anyone who thinks this is good food. And sorry for bashing your food Milagro but it needs to be said. :(

Great night out for a friend’s welcome home party! The margs are fresh and handmade! Lots of different flavors and just delicious! Their guacamole is also tasty, but a very small portion for $ 7. Service was all-around good. She was attentive, helpful and split our checks with no issue. The enchiladas and tacos al carbon are fantastic. Definitely a good Mexican place. A little more expensive than others but worth it!

Im going to give this place an overwhelming«Okay.» The pros: The Milagro margarita was very good, service was quick and the server was attentive. The cons: The Chilitos Rellenos were too spicy for me to eat & my boyfriend, who tolerates spice much better than me, had to wait several minutes and take several drinks between each bite. My entrée was the Carne Asada. The meat was very dry and lacked any flavor of it’s own. The green chile and goat cheese grits were pretty good. My boyfriend had the Combo #72. He loved the baja fish taco, did not like the beef barbacoa enchilada rojo, and did not comment much on the chicken and chorizo quesadilla. That being said, he did bring home the leftovers and is currently munching on them.

We’re visiting from California & I used Unilocal to find a Mexican restaurant. Very happily pleased to have an awesome waiter that understood & was happy to accommodate two of our family members that are very allergic to dairy products. The food was fresh & served in an artful manner.(As opposed to just dumped on a plate). Everything tasted wonderful & if we visit St. Louis again, we will make a special trip to eat here again!

This is a slightly classier spin on your classic Mexican restaurant. The food is delicious, the service is friendly and quick, and the restaurant is beautifully decorated. CHIPS&SALSA: The salsa tastes fresh and flavorful, and the chips are warm and delicious. I would say better than average. APPETIZERS: We ordered the empanadas, and the sweet potato and spices were to die for. The dipping sauce seemed to be almost a sweet, black been sauce. I highly recommend this appetizer. DINNER: I mix-and-matched the chicken, pork and beef tacos. All were good, but the pork was by far the best. It had a sweet, pineapple taste. Also, the meat for each taco comes in a ramekin and the tortillas are served separately on the plate. It’s kind of nice because you can build your own taco(note: there is no cheese or sour cream), but there’s also a TON of meat and you may want to order 3 extra tortillas for $ 1 and share some with the table. We went at around 7:00PM on a Saturday night, and the wait was only about 15 minutes. Our food arrived pretty quickly, and the staff was very attentive, helpful and polite. A must try!

Great Mexican food in St. Louis. The Food was great and the service matched. The guacamole was housemade and delicious. The tacos were freshly prepared(and I think they made the tortillas in house, as well). I’m so glad that I took the time to stop through. Garret had the enchiladas which were also very, very good. The margarita was very good and made from scratch. EVERYTHINGWASMADEFROMSCRATCH! We didn’t stick around for dessert but I would be interested to see what they have to offer next time I come around. On the negative side… The prices were a bit higher than I thought they should have been.

Milagro is our go-to«nicer» Mexican restaurant when we don’t want to wait an hour or drive 25 minutes, and just want to have a memorable, tasty meal with friends. The Margaritas never disappoint, and the«seasonal» Hatch Pepper special was exceptional. Less spicy than other jalapeño margaritas I’ve had, but with a great kick. I can(and have) made a meal of the chicken flauta appetizer, but needed to share with our friends last night. So good, the 6 of us ordered a second order. Guac. Was great, as usual, though one of the smaller order sizes in town. Great for date night, but just a tablespoon for each of the 6 of us. Normally a creature of habit, ordering either the fajitas or enchiladas, I was adventurous and ordered the shrimp and grits, served with their very exceptional street corn — a very tasty menu«alternative». All 6 of us had something different — burrito, enchiladas, salmon, a beef special, etc., and we all left very full and happy. Great ambiance and food and always consistent. Glad some things never change.

This place is out of the world. It is modern Mexican but with authentic flavors. I visited for my birthday. First, the free chips and salsa they serve is amazing. Spicy but not hot. Thick but not chunky. The chips are toasted and warm when you receive them. My BF and I had a pitcher of margaritas! Delicious! We were able to get 6 out for the cost of 4. I had tacos el carbon, marinated steak with cilantro, onions and cilantro lime rice. I also ordered some cheese on the side bc the tacos didn’t come with any. The tacos are corn tortillas, and by far some of the best I ever had. I used the salsa for a little more spice on the tacos. The rice was perfectly cooked and seasoned so well! Amazing! It was my birthday so I received my choice of Flan or dulce con leche cake. I don’t like flan. The cake was wonderful and so was the strawberry topping. Complete with fresh cut strawberries. When I return to St Louis I will definitely go here for Taco Tuesday!!!

Great Mexican restaurant in Webster Groves. They have an extremely friendly wait staff. Our waiter was extremely nice with a good sense of humor. We had margaritas. Really good made with fresh ingredients. They have a nice patio on the outside and we chose to sit out instead of in. We had the whole patio to ourselves which was nice. Chips are great. Freshly made. Salsa also very good. Got a side of guacamole and it was made very well. Enchiladas, fish tacos and the fish special were delicious. The fish tacos had a bit too much sour cream sauce which made them too messy but fish was very tasty. It’s a cute place with good food and excellent service. I highly recommend!

Very good chicken burrito the other night that my wife ordered — we would get that again. I had the fish tacos and they were good, but I expected a little more fish in them. And the fish was a little fishy. Guacamole was good but expensive.

«Woohoo! As good as it gets!» That is the 5 star rating on Unilocal.Milagro has delicious food and drinks! We sat in the bar area and took advantage of the amazing happy hour deals! They had great margaritas and appetizers on special. The Chicken Flautas are delicious! We also had the sort of spicy chili rellenos. Of the two, I say the Flautas are a «dont’ miss» item. For dinner I had the fish tacos and the famous street corn. It was great. We had good food, service, and atmosphere here and have been dremaing about going back ever since.

Goodness… I started this review on 6/17, and today it’s 7÷21… Just now getting to finish it. I felt so bad giving it only 3 stars, not sure why. I guess for me, Milagro is good, but not great. I was not blown away by any means, especially when I was so hyped up to come here. The service was just non existent, and that really hurt this experience for me. I came for lunch with a friend and I had the two fish tacos and street corn. It was just nothing that great to me. I’m not sure why. We had chips and queso with chorizo, and that was probably the best part of this meal. The fish tacos were just not that fresh tasting for some reason, and the street corn was really lacking in flavor. I really do plan on coming back because more recently, fish tacos have become one of my culinary obsessions. And there are so many other menu items that I really want to try.

Atmosphere nice quiet. The server was friendly and upbeat. The margaritas are great(top shelf) but the Milagros was good too. I got the Baja fish tacos my guy got the carne asada(sp). My fish delicious and I love the street corn. he said his dish wasn’t seasoned well. Overall experience was good.

The owner of Milagro is a big fan of Rick Bayless. I want to say thank you! This is Mexican food that is not stereotyped like every other Mexican place in St. Louis. The food is good, different, and filling. Being Father’s Day my son wanted to pick up the bill and I got to choose. Happy I did choose Milagro. I ordered a cup of chili for a starter. This chili is not like any version I have had. It had prime cuts of beef mixed with the chilies and the sauce. Best I have ever had. For my main I ordered the chile relleno. A wonderful relleno pepper stuffed with cheese and beef and then fried with a batter. The dish came with Mexican rice and sweet corn which complimented the relleno. Funny story I asked it I could have refried beans. Dead silence from server and my son. I mean crickets could be heard. Uh sir we don’t serve that here. Dang! I forgot I was not at the norm of Mexican in St. Louis, I was at the best.

I went here last night with a wonderful friend of mine since I was back in town. What all did we have between us: Milagro Margarita — my friend said these are some of the best margaritas around. Paloma — a cocktail with tequila and grapefruit beer. Maybe it’s because I only drank twice in the last three months I spent in suburbia, but I found this intoxicating… But darn good. Wild Mushroom quesadilla — my friend said this was good… But all she’d had to eat that day was a bag of pretzels and she left half when all was said and done. Comes with a cute carrier of guacamole, sour cream, etc. Chicken burrito — my oh my. This was fantastic. I have been issues keeping my weight up lately, but if I ate portions this large consistently I would not. It was absolutely massive. And tasty, a combo that I have discovered isn’t common at Mexican restaurants. Ingredient wise it was similar to Qdoba. Taste wise? Superior by leaps and bounds — and only $ 10. Chocolate Flan — I have never had flan before so have no basis to go on. The flan part had no taste. But the chocolate part was yummy. Chips and salsa — the standard Mexican restaurant starter that somehow done places mess up. These had just the right amount of thickness and salt. We still had chips left, but we were yakking. Service was good. Seated right away. Server was kind despite us taking ages to figure out what we wanted to order. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is just because their alcohol selections outside of beer and margaritas is not impressive… That might be unfair for a Mexican restaurant, so I might adjust the stars later.

Using the NoWait app they utilize for call ahead reservations, I made my way down to the restaurant not so apparent from street level, and I walked around for a few minutes trying to find this place, it’s tucked away in a corner pretty much and only when I saw the restaurant itself did I finally see the sign smacking me in the face telling me what direction to go in. The food was pretty good, the Tacos al Camote I had were great and had plenty of flavor, my wife had the Baja Fish Tacos which were equally good, we had the chicken flautas for an app I thought were on that cusp of wow pretty good to «it just needs something else to send it over the top». My wife went nuts for the street corn as the side. The dessert we had was this white leche cupcake sort of thing which was absolutely TASTELESS and one of the heaviest things I ever ate and stuck to every corner of the mouth and produced a film I had never experienced before… never trying that again yuck! And I’m usually a dessert guy but that was really bad and not what I expected. All in all though I had a good time and I love that they had Kona beer, I love those things. I’ll be back ordering an entirely new selection and definitely trying something else for dessert.

Time for an update… Cocktails? –Muy bien. They make a great margarita and have an awesome cocktail selection. Highly recommend trying it out. Food update! –Holy mother of mexico I love their fish tacos. Yes, I got them fried. While grilled is better, in theory, the fried ones are to die for. Also, I’ve heard a lot of this famous street corn. I don’t know what I expected but it’s amazing. Easily the best and most unique corn preparation I’ve ever had. I could eat a trough of it. The service was swell as always! Can’t wait to come back and eat more fish tacos… I still need to try out their Sunday brunch.
