On the corner diagonally across from Sunsets in lower Wayzata(ie by Minnetonka), Blanc de Blanc has stood ever since I can remember. As the name implies, they do love all things white, but it’s really more of an homage to subtlety and refinement. It’s a great place to pick up a baby gift, wedding gift, cards, lotions and such, and even the occasional scarf or sweater. It’s not cheap, but neither are the products, and I feel you pay fairly for the quality you receive. This past Sunday I was wondering around my former home town, and while I know each store inside and out, the weather was too nice to pack up in my car and return to the city. I wanted to browse a bit, and lower Lake Street is a pretty good place to do that. So, as I popped into Blanc de Blanc, I was greeted by one of the women hanging one of the seemingly hundreds of gorgeous ornaments from the ceiling. «Are you open?» I asked. She politely replied, «No. But come on it.» How nice! There the staff was getting ready for the holidays and they allowed us to roam around. Very kind. As usual, I found many little things I would have liked to have gone home with, but decided to wait to buy them as Christmas gifts. I highly recommend stopping in here if you ever are out in the Western Burbs.
